Characters: Catarina and anyone willing to put up with a moody demon
Setting: Floor 38
Format: Action start
Summary: Catarina's consolation prize from being crushed by her ridiculous costume isn't something she really wants...
Warnings: Catarina being her usual threatening/sexual self
[The second lounge, surrounded by clouds. It was a little dizzying to Catarina, but she honestly hadn't been looking out of the window for a while. Instead, she was sitting on beanbag chair with a necklace dangling over one hand. It was gorgeous, gold with a beautiful intricate charm carved onto the end. But her dark eyes were almost angry as she looked at it, her jaw tight. She knew what this was. She saw it when she was a child, and was supposed to be handed down to her. Catarina dropped her hand next to her, disgusted, letting the chain slither to the floor]
I've beaten you. I lived.

The status of your birth is nothing to be ashamed of, for it was not something you had any control over. We are all born to unique circumstances and we either learn to make the most of them or regret them. Had I not been born with the blood of the Pendragon, I would not have been been king. I would not have embraced my destiny.
Yet, my current existence was a choice I made, based on the circumstances I did have control over and my own failures. The things I regret are the things that I caused, Catarina.
You did not cause your parents to create you. You are not responsible for your blood. You take the gifts you are granted with and make the most of them. Mixed blessings are still blessings... even to those that prefer the night to the day.
[She smiled.] I ask that you raise your head and be proud of who you are, even if you are not proud of what you are.

But I have lived longer than I should have. I am four hundred years old and a disciple of the art of the knife, both things other crossbreeds cannot boast. If I cannot pull one into my bed with a touch as full blooded succubi can, I have practice doing so with words and touch as it makes no difference. I have lived. If I show shame at my old wounds being examined, allow me to say my pride at living beyond the expectation any would have for one such as myself eclipses that.

I would be a tyrant, my dear, instilling fear instead of awe. [Her Charisma Rank did drop from B to E as it was.]

[She's been seduced before, yes, when alive by She Who Will Not Be Named, but Saber lacked those skills herself. She's doesn't really know how to actively use any of her physical features outside of battle.]

Even I, great king of legend I had been, was eventually seen as a villain and my people revolted against my rule.

Until you grace me with your radiance again, my dear.
