towerofanimus | 2nd Mission

Characters: Rolo Lamperouge and YOU
Setting: 7th floor (Swimming pool),14th Floor (Media/game room), 28th Floor (Music room),
Format: Both are fine. I'll follow.
Summary: Rolo's just wandering around the tower, feeling rather bored.
Warnings: He won't bite unless provoked.

[7th Floor (Swimming pool)]
It was a spur of the moment thing really. Killing monsters gets rather boring after a while and Lelouch hasn't given him anything specific to do, so here Rolo is at the swimming pool. He examines it for a bit then decides to go for a swim after finding suitable swimwear in the lockers. Anyway, he had to keep himself in top condition for whatever might happen next. He's now quietly doing laps round the pool, concentrating on nothing but his own movements.

[14th Floor (Media/Game room)]
After his swim, Rolo ends up in media/game room. Once again, he examines everything in the room carefully. It's a force of habit from all his training. He just won't take unnecessary risks. Then he settles on a shooting game which he goes through rather mechanically with his perfect aim. He doesn't understand how this is fun. However, it feels somehow reassuring to be given an objective and a mission so he continues 'playing'.

[28th Floor (Music room)]
Finally, Rolo make his way to the music room. He is somehow drawn to one of the pianos and runs his fingers over the keys. During that year of fake memories, his older brother had taught him how to play a bit. He wonders if Lelouch would continue teaching him if he asked. Should he ask?

After a long pause, he sits down and starts playing some very simple tunes rather hesitantly. Somehow he feels a little happy.

[ After a little while, it's like something else joins in with the sound of the piano. Oddly enough it seems to match, despite it being a different instrument. It's actually a girl that might look familiar to him playing the trombone to herself - but apparently she's making the effort of matching his melody, so she must be listening to him too. ]

While chaos loved the water, it had been awhile since he had seen a swimming pool and not an artificial beach, so when he found one in the Tower, he wanted to at least float in the water for a little while. While he changed into his swimming trunks, he sensed something in the water. It was human..but it felt like it had been added onto, like a piece of cloth that had been dyed.

Now curious and nostalgic for some swimming, chaos dived into the water, hoping to find whatever he was sensing.

Rolo would find he wasn't the only one interested in shooting games. In the case of Homura, this was not even a game. Like the other 'player', she doesn't see these sorts of things as fun and normally would not waste her time with them. But her ammo is in limited supply and she needs to keep her aim sharp if she wants to make good use of every bullet.

Which is why she steps up next to him and reaches for the second player gun.

"If I may?" It's not really a question. More an obligated statement that has lost meaning. The gun is lighter, there is no kickback, and it is nothing like what she uses in actual fights, but Homura wants to at least pretend to practice. Like with Rolo, she finds it somehow reassuring.
So she won't take 'no' for an answer. She will, however, elaborate on what she is doing here, "This is the only game of this kind that is very effective for my purposes. I will not chase you out. I simply want the second 'player' position."

[Rolo pauses for a bit when he hears that.]

Oh... it's you.

Rolo immediately stops swimming and treads water when he feels something coming towards him, He tenses, hands reaching out for his... Dammit, he hasn't got his knife with him. He'll have to rely on hand-to-hand combat and his Geass then should the person coming towards him be hostile.

Rolo pauses the game and glances over at her for a moment, before he resumes 'playing'. "Be my guest." As long as she doesn't hinder him, he doesn't really care.

Ah. chaos nodded to himself when he saw the young boy in the pool. So that was who he was sensing. The boy looked a little worried though..however, since this Tower was dangerous, the boy was probably worried that he was going to hurt him.

"Good afternoon. I am sorry if I frightened you. I am not going to hurt you. I just came here to float for a little while."

[ She actually plays on for a moment or two more, but then she slowly starts to lower her instrument to stare at him. ]

.. Good day. I heard you play..

Togami isn't very interested in games, so he just passes on through without looking back. However there is one thing that catches his interest, if only briefly. With little fanfare, he picks up a dart for a dart board game placed next to the shooting game and throws it. It lands in the direct center, a clean shot. He smirks to himself, even if it wasn't that great of a feat by his measurements.

Kirika in the meantime was at the diving platform with a body swimsuit. Ever since she discovered the floor, she found herself drawn back to it. This tower was the first she had ever swam in despised her memories. How she dove in was as if she has done it before. After a dive, she would allow her body to lift herself up back to the surface. She would shake her head once it peaked out from the waters.

[Kyrie stops to watch for a moment, having come to the media room to see about any western, action, thriller or detective movies. She's not at all familiar with videogames like that, being in her 40's and from 1986, but even if it's just a game, he's good.]

Is your aim always so good?

[Eleanor prefers to swim in the aquarium, among the various fish there. But sometimes she wants to think without really bothering to avoid something that wants to eat her for lunch. And the lower tunnels of the pool are a nice, welcoming distraction as well.

Eventually, she emerges, helmet glowing and body swimming up with ease, until she breaks the surface and realizes Rolo is there.]

Oh. Hello.

[ Sitting tucked away in a corner somewhere is Nunnally listening to his music. She was going to say hello, but he didn't seem to notice her, so instead she'll wait until he's done.

Then she'll clap. ] Good job.

She nods, taking a few in-game shots. She can't help but notice that he isn't an amateur.
"You're good. Do you do this often?"

... [he looks away a bit] ... but I'm not good at it at all. You didn't need to... do that...

Rolo regards him suspiciously all the same for now. "Do you come here often?"

Without looking at her, he replies, "It's part of my job back home. You aren't bad yourself."

"No..this is my first time coming here since my arrival to the Tower. But I might start coming here every now and then." After all, he had liked swimming on the artificial beach in the Durandal..and back on Earth, Mary enjoyed swimming together with him when they could find the time and the water.

Though Rolo is concentrating on his game, he does notice Togami out of the corner of his eye and makes note of what he's doing.

Ah, so just another rich prick who likes showing off. How many of your kind has he killed now? He can't remember and he doesn't care. You're not a threat.

Rolo notices someone on the diving board and swims away to avoid Kirika as she dives in. Then he stops and treads water to see who it is.

[Rolo glances at her briefly, not pausing the game.]

It has to be or I'd be punished back home.

[Rolo notices something coming towards the surface of the water and quickly stops a safe distance from her. Not recognizing her just yet.]

Who are you?

[Rolo looks over in surprise at the unexpected clapping. Dammit, he'd allowed himself to be too distracted by the piano to check his surroundings properly.]

... how long have you been here?

Togami doesn't care much either for the other boy. He does stand nearby and observe him quietly while Rolo plays is own game.

Why? Who knows, he finds most traditional games to be frivolous, so it's not like he will participate willingly.

No, I liked your music. [ And despite the blank tone in which she says it, it seems genuine. ]

That's why I thought I could join in.. two instruments sound even better together, right?
