To the sea~

Characters: Tetra ([personal profile] stop_calling_me_zelda) and Open
Setting: Dorms and the library
Format: Action to start
Summary: Tetra got her moms long pirate jacket from the Halloween event and now she's going to cuddle with it and give it to Zelda
Warnings: No warnings

Dorms

[Tetra had woken up a couple weeks ago with her moms jacket folded neatly on the top of her trunk. She'd been spending the entire time since then just laying with it as her blanket or just trying to wear it, despite how much larger it was than her. Now though, she'd gotten the idea that Zelda might like it. Her princess dresses always seemed so chilly and her mom had never gotten cold with this jacket, that she could remember. So, off to Zelda's room!]

Library

[Here, Tetra could be found curled up really snug on a comfy chair with a story book in her lap. It looks like she might be falling asleep though, mostly because she'd been there most of the day.]

I'm just winging it here, as I'm not familiar with many old stories that could be in this book..><;;

Once upon a time, there was an old fisherman who lived with his son on a nice houseboat. While the fisherman loved his son, he was constantly fighting with him, as the son had a unique gift. He was a wonderful flute player, and the dolphins and other marine life usually stopped by the boat in order to listen.

The boy considered these animals his friends, and was horrified whenever his father tried to capture a few of them. It wasn't like the father enjoyed this, but he had found that food and animals were scarce in the open ocean, so you had to grab what you could. The son sometimes ruined fishing equipment in order to get his father to stop, but the father always managed to repair it or find new ways to catch fish and his friends.

One evening, after a particularly loud argument, the father grabbed his sons flute and tossed it overboard in a fit of rage. The son dove after the flute, not wanting to lose his most precious possession. While the father was sad and mad at himself, no matter how hard he tried, he never found his son again. But, every evening, he could hear someone playing a flute underneath the water. Even though he never saw what was making the music, he always though it was his son, trying to find his way home again.

A year passed, and one day, the fisherman ran into a boy that was swimming in the water, trying to get somewhere. The fisherman, reminded of his son, couldn't just leave him there, so he offered the boy a good meal and a nights rest. The boy happily accepted, and the fisherman offered him some warm dry clothes.

That evening, during dinner, the boy told the fisherman that he had found another world that lay beside the one that they were in and that he was trying to find something in that world. The fisherman, thinking that his son could have made it to that other world, asked the boy to dive down and see if his son was there. The boy, being a kindhearted person, said he would.

That evening, the boy dove down into the water, and using a mirror, entered the other world. There, humans looked like animals, and the scenery changed a little. Instead of an ocean, he was standing in a dried up wasteland, and instead of a boy, he was a rabbit as tall as a human. Standing not too far away, was a tall hamster, playing a flute. Some creatures were standing around, listening to the beautiful tune.

The hero approached the group, and told the hamster how worried his father was back home. The hamster sighed when he heard this. While he had enjoyed his time in this other world, he loved his father and didn't want him to suffer. Perhaps they could work out their differences. And so, the hero managed to bring the son back into the real world, and the fisherman and his son were happily reunited.

The hero moved on the next day, and the fisherman and his son decided on a compromise. While the son could have animal friends, he would also use his powers to help his father, and in exchange, the father wouldn't hurt his friends.

And so, the two lived peacefully until the end of their days.

[What a warm and delicious story..it tasted like a sourdough roll with some sweet cream inside. Of course, Tohko wasn't going to eat Tetra's storybook.]

Thanks. ^^; It's a bit inspired from my favorite side character in A Link to The Past.

[Tohko smiled at that.]

Well, it is a pretty de-erm, good story. It's hard not to like this one.
tohko_amano: (puzzled)

And now you know why!~ ^^;

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-11-27 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I couldn't do that! This books is important to you, right? I couldn't just take it from you. Although..what is the story about The Hero of Time? I haven't heard that one.
tohko_amano: (puzzled)

^^

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-11-30 02:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, you could keep this one then. I don't think anyone would mind.

[Tohko smiled at that. So he wasn't just a character in a story.]

That's pretty amazing! Although..how did he stop Ganon? And what is the Triforce of Courage?
tohko_amano: (excited)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-01 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup! I don't think anyone would. And if anyone found out, I am a librarian. I'll just say that you're 'borrowing' it for a long time.

[Even though that would be an abuse of power. Whoops. Tohko nodded as Tetra spoke. She remembered hearing about the Master Sword before..she had just forgotten about it until now.]

Why can only that sword beat him? And those Sages must have been pretty powerful if they managed to seal Santa of Evil away.

[Pardon the nickname.]

I see..that sounds like a pretty powerful object then! I wonder how a jerk like Santa of Evil got stuck with the Piece of Power. However..since two of those people are in the Tower right now, isn't it possible that Ganon could steal the Piece of Wisdom?
tohko_amano: (excited)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-02 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[Tohko grinned. Even if it was an abuse of power, she was glad that she was helping out. She'd feel terrible if someone barred her from Konoha's book, so she didn't want to do that to Tetra.]

That's pretty cool..but why can only the hero use it? Did the gods bless him too? And that's true..I doubt a good hero would let Santa of Evil get the final piece of the Triforce.

[You'll have to deal with that nickname, Tetra. It's never going away.]
tohko_amano: (puzzled)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-06 01:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I see. So only people who are chosen by the gods get to use things that the gods blessed. That makes sense..but who are the Hero of Time and the Hero of Winds? I'm unfamiliar with them..but it's great that you're friends with one of them!

[Well, since Ganon seems to hate it, then it shall be fine.]
tohko_amano: (excited)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-06 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[Tohko chuckled.]

The Master Sword looks pretty interesting..and it's nice that you got to see what one of your ancestors looks like!

But..it's kind of funny how both heroes are similar in name and appearance. Maybe the hero chosen by the gods gets reincarnated every few years when he'll be needed to save people?
tohko_amano: (excited)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-07 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
Oh! Well, that's good! I'm glad to hear that! How were you able to meet him though?

Yeah, that does make sense. Why only use the bet tropes once before pitching them away forever?
tohko_amano: (puzzled)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-07 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
How did your ancestor turn into a boat and manage to take you guys underwater without killing all of you? By using a spell or something?

[Tohko, who has half of her head in stories most of the time, takes this information in stride.]
tohko_amano: (excited)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-08 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, alright then! That's pretty cool! We don't have any magic back home, so it's pretty cool that you can use magic, even if you are still a beginner.

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-08 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
Well, if she does, you'll probably be good at it. And I don't blame her for trying to avoid Evil Santa..but how does she keep herself busy?

[Don't feel bad, Tetra. You find stuffy royals in storybooks too. They're everywhere..]
