Summary: Finding the issue with the languages, Kazumi decides to use the universal language: food!

[Kazumi had never really thought that much before about the fact that everyone here could talk to each other... but now, suddenly they can't! Somehow, the Tower sounds noisier than ever as all the talking becomes a cacophony of different languages. Still, people would need to eat so... maybe they could all agree on that at least, without a need for words? Whipping up an array of dishes - casserole, curry, pastas... all unfortunately kind of orange due to the weird food dye this month - Kazumi was keeping busy. Of course, the newest addition to the kitchen wasn't helping]

Ah, Toto! Don't play with that!

[Unfortunately, the cat didn't understand Japanese any better than the kitchen workers today, so the scruffy black critter was happy to push over the canister of sugar and spill it all over the floor.]

Mm, he shouldn't! He's usually pretty nice.

[Once Rosa takes the cat, who only squirms a little, Kazumi gets to work cleaning up the mess on the floor]

Thanks, I'll just take a second!

[Rosa's luck with cats, though, is about the same as her luck with children. It was perfectly fine for the first minute or two...and then it started scratching her arms.]

Ow!

[She tries to adjust the way she is holding it, but it just tries to scratch her face instead. Somehow or another, it manages to squirm out of her arms and climb onto her head.]

Hey...woah...

[She is wobbling around a bit now.]

Ah, no! Bad, Toto!

[So much for perfect behavior... setting aside the dustpan and broom, Kazumi reaches up to try to take him off Rosa's head]

Come here, you bad kitty...

[Rosa does her best to lower her head so Kazumi can grab the cat. However, it start scrambling down her back.]

Ah, oh no! [And from there Toto leaps over onto the kitchen counter, almost spilling things again] Geez... I'm really, really sorry about that, Rosa... he's usually pretty nice but sometimes he can be a real brat!

It is...alright.

[Even though, obviously, her hair is messed up and there are several scratch marks on her hands.]

I haven't held very many cats before. Maybe I did it in the wrong way.

Sometimes he can just be finicky like that... well, if you can just make sure he doesn't knock anything else over, I'll get this cleaned up quickly!

[Rosa nods. She then tries to coax the cat toward her.]

[Toto looks at Rosa curiously, swishing his tail, but seems content to stay where he is. Kazumi just giggles as she finishes cleaning things up]

So, how have you been doing?

I've been alright.

[A pause.]

Some of my family came here.

Oh? Eheh, that's good then! Was your daughter one of them?

No. Sadly, she was not.

I see... I'm sorry to hear that. I, I'm sure she'll turn up eventually! At least if other family members have, you know it's possible and she's could still be fine.

[She frowns.]

Those other family members were...dead back in my world.

Eh...? They were...?

[Oh no... she didn't know dead people showed up here]

One of them, one who was still alive in my world, mentioned the possibility of multiple worlds. In one, my relatives died. In another, I died.

[It is unnerving to think about.]

Multiple worlds...? Ohh, I think I heard about that... yeah, some people are saying there have been multiples of them here, or there are have been people they've known but they remember different things happening!

I have encountered both of those things around the tower. This place...really is strange.

It... it really is. Still, I'm going to hold onto hope! That we can set things right, and be reunited with those we care about!

[She nods.]

But do we have any clue as how to do it?

[She would rather not waste her energy doing anything useless or overly dangerous.]

Um... not really yet... but we can't give up just because we don't know yet!

I won't give up, but I won't rush either. Not until I know more.

Yeah... maybe we'll get to talk to the admins soon, or find someway around them... I mean, it seems like that's important to everyone here, so I'm sure lots of people are looking.

You can speak to the administrators? How would you contact them?

[She will have to pay closer attention to the networks.]

Um, well, I don't think we can contact them... but sometimes they talk to us! I guess that's what makes it kind of hard since it's really only when they want to tell us something...
