6th Recipe - Scrambled Eggs [Open]

Summary: Finding the issue with the languages, Kazumi decides to use the universal language: food!

[Kazumi had never really thought that much before about the fact that everyone here could talk to each other... but now, suddenly they can't! Somehow, the Tower sounds noisier than ever as all the talking becomes a cacophony of different languages. Still, people would need to eat so... maybe they could all agree on that at least, without a need for words? Whipping up an array of dishes - casserole, curry, pastas... all unfortunately kind of orange due to the weird food dye this month - Kazumi was keeping busy. Of course, the newest addition to the kitchen wasn't helping]

Ah, Toto! Don't play with that!

[Unfortunately, the cat didn't understand Japanese any better than the kitchen workers today, so the scruffy black critter was happy to push over the canister of sugar and spill it all over the floor.]

Yes... But they are much like a double-edged sword. This place has given me Irisviel back, but it can also take her from me again.

[Or cause Saber to fail her princess again...]

I see... that's true but... I think, it's better to have the opportunity to see her again, even if it means you might lose her again, then never to see her at all!

[Kazumi smiles an turns back, lowering the heat on the curry; it's just about ready!]

Hmm... so do you know all the Servants and Masters here?

Most of them. Some are not from the two Wars I've been in. I believe I have at least met all of them, though.

Oh, are there a lot here? That's kind of exciting.

[scorchedchivalry]

Only if you find inevitable war exciting.

[starofpleiades]

Ah... you think that will really happen? But... this isn't a leyline place is it? And besides, there's no Grail! Unless someone brought it with them?

[scorchedchivalry]

The Holy Grail is magic, Kazumi. It is not exactly a physical object like you are imagining until the final moments of the war.

[starofpleiades]

Ohh... so, then... anyone who has that kind of magic could produce it, then?

[scorchedchivalry]

It is more complicated than that, Kazumi. Perhaps that is a subject Irisviel can explain better than I. She is a magus, after all, and her family has deep, deep ties to the Holy Grail. I know of no one that understands it better than her.

I guess that's like my other question, so okay! In any case... I really hope a war like that doesn't start. It's bad enough we're stuck here without fighting amongst each other...

If one does begin, hopefully most will never know it is going on. Should I suddenly cut ties to you, it will be to protect you from those that would use you against me.

Oh no... if something like that happens, I'd definitely want to help you, Saber!

You will help by staying away. Even with your magic, you cannot stand against a Servant. And I do not want you to be used to get to me.

[She pouts a bit but doesn't complain] If you say so... but if you end up in trouble, I will try to save you!

[scorchedchivalry]

[If Saber ends up in trouble, there is nothing Kazumi will be able to do. The knight keeps that to herself, though.]

Heh, good! I don't just want to be the one being protected all the time.

[scorchedchivalry]

[She said she's remember it, not that she'd allow it.]

It is still my duty as your liege lord to see to your protection, Kazumi.

Well, can't it go both ways? Helping each other...

Yes, but you must heed my decision when I make one. I have many years of experience in these matters, have commanded armies and fought over twelve full scale battles, protecting my people from barbarian invaders and Romans.

Mnn... alright. [She frowns and makes a few faces but in the end she nods and agrees. Even if she's eager to help, she does know she's pretty inexperienced, especially compared to Saber.]
