Who: Shiki Tohno (

Where: Room 01-20, Floor 4, Floor 8
When: Before the event, that's for sure.
What: Having the notice that his world ended, a certain youth decided to see just what kind of mess did he end up in. Again.
Warning: N/A for now.

Room 01-20
[He had been calm, he had not been reacting badly ever since he woke up. But of course that’s what the boy’s trying to look like as he scanned the letter he arrived with in the room he just woke up in.

It was a strange ceiling, by the way.

In any case, the boy didn’t say anything as he got up after finishing the letter, and if there were any other occupants in the room, the first thing he’ll ask was just:]

…Do you know where I can get a bite in this place?

Floor 4
[A ridiculous meal over and done with (seriously that tasted really bad), Shiki went on his way as he noticed a glass-walled lounge on his way up to explore the tower. Well, in a sense this would at least help him find out just where this cloud is.

…

Only to find out that an expanse of grayness is not exactly a thing he really enjoyed looking at. Regardless, he’s there, just staring at the outside sky with a perplexed look.]

Floor 8
[…Maybe he should’ve avoided the maze and went on another way entirely, but no. He had to go through them in order to go to the next floor, and knowing him and his way of walking into trouble, maybe he should’ve stayed in the lounge instead…]

[ Sion had decided to take a little break from using the lab that was on floor 27 and headed down to the 4th floor. But there was a familar face staring out at the sky. ]

Shiki?

[His reverie was broken when the voice spoke up. Considering what he had seen in the letter, the fact that there was someone from home was sort of surprising considering it was well.

Gone.

It was still hard to believe that would happen considering what kind of people were living in this place.

But regardless, that's what happened. One Shiki Tohno couldn't end the world, but someone he knows certainly had the capability to do it.

And she's gone.]

...Sion.

[There's a slight smile, whether it's from relief or just his usual one remained to be seen right now.]

When did you arrive here?...

[ Sion had some doubts about everything being gone, even if there was someone who could do such a deed there was still the unexplained factor of people arriving from places that shouldn't exist now. ]

Just now, actually, have you been here for a while?

[Well, he still has some doubts, but right now it's shoved back in order to get his head straight for now.]

A few weeks now, though I wasn't the only one who was sent here Satsuki is here as well.

[ Not like senpai will notice her though ]

Ah, you mean Yumizuka-san?

[Yeah he sort of noticed her alright...]

Yes, she's around here though I haven't seen her around today.

...Ah, then yeah, I've seen her earlier.

[It was pretty awkward though...]

I'm sure you two are getting along well.

[ If Shiki does anything stupid he's going to get an earful from her. ]

Well, we are classmates...

[He's pretty sure he has no reason to antagonize her...]

[Lancer notices the boy starting out at the clouds.]

Nothing really to see here, is there?

[Usually, chaos used his powers to skip past this floor, but today, he was a little bored, and he thought the maze might cure it. So, while he walked around, he sensed something. It was human..put it was altered a little. It was a little odd, coming to a place that had so many altered humans and non-human's, but it didn't really bother chaos. Curious, he turned around the corner and spotted a boy with short black hair wearing glasses.]

Good morning. Are you lost?

...I guess? I mean, it's a maze, so isn't being lost kinda the point?

[That and dying, but let's not focus on the latter.]

I thought the point was to have fun while figuring out where the exit is. However..being lost does play a large role. If you're not really lost in a maze, it's usually no fun at all. That is..assuming you even enter the maze just for fun.

[chaos smiled.]

If you're not in the maze just for fun, I can show you where the exit is.

Nah, I'm pretty sure I'm fine right now.

[Since he needs some time to think, and a maze sort of fits considering he had tried finding the exit a few times and succeeded a bit too.]

But I'll give a holler if I get even more lost.

Alright then. But please, don't hesitate to call out if you need some help. My name is..chaos, so if you do need some help, do not hesitate and yell. I am always happy to help.

Right, I'll make sure to do that, then.

[There's an awkward smile as he responded to the other male's kindness, and since the person gave his name already- (even though the name does sound really unsettling-)]

Oh, yeah. Name's Shiki, by the way. Nice to meet you, I guess.

Good. I am glad to hear that. Nice to meet you, Shiki. [And here's a genuine smile to match your awkward one. The boy must have been a bit thrown off by his name. Most people were at first. And with that, chaos gave a little wave.]

I shall meet you at the exit then, if you really are all right here.

[And with that, chaos started to walk off again, having a pretty good guess as to where he was going. This maze was pretty simple. At least..to him.]

[ Sayaka just happens to have some chill time after training, so she decided to head up to the lounge and maybe take a look outside.

... Looks like someone had her same idea.

This girl who's dressing in a plain white shirt, black shorts, and blue hair tied in a ponytail is going to approach you friendly. ]

It's pretty grim outside, isn't it?

It is.

[He's not surprised at the sudden intrusion, really. After a long time of living with a pair of strange maids, an enthusiastic sister, a happy-go-lucky Dead Apostle AND a executioner these kind of things are pretty much normal.]

Should have expected it the moment they said that this place is some sort of safe haven for us.

It's nothing like what they said, for sure.

[ She sighs, pushing her stray bangs behind her ear. ] I've been here for such a short time, and yet I feel nothing but uncertainty the longer I stay here. [ And fear. And regret. And many other feelings this stranger surely doesn't need to know. ]

To be honest, everyone'd feel like that after seeing those monsters.

[Because really who can trust a tower that's dull and full of things that're out to kill you each corner you take and every floors you climb yields a life-and-death experience.

They seriously need a new management, really.]

[ A bitter chuckle. ] I can only agree with that. I still wonder how I survived going down all these stairs the first time. [ Really, she didn't know better. ]

A little bit of luck goes a long way at times, you know?

[There's a sort of wry smile from him as he responded to her remark. Though in his case, it's more of a dodging and running for his life. An easy feat considering everything that happened back home.]

I suppose so. It's not that I was very lucky before coming here, so that compensates it.

[ She was only slightly killed, no big deal. ]

Well, there has to be some balance in life after all.

[He adjusts his glasses, to be honest, the grayness simply hurt his eyes since focusing on one color tends to be a little bit too disorienting to be honest.]

Uh-huh. I feel lucky to be alive.

[ That's partly a lie. Having to deal with your past actions and being trapped in a hellhole like this isn't a good perspective after dealing with one death. ]

[...Fortunately for her, he didn't really see through that lie, but hey, some optimism is kinda good.]

Then that's all well and good, isn't it?

It is... kind of. Still, please be careful around here. I could tell you which floors are mostly safe.

Aa, that would be helpful to know, yeah.

[Would save him the trouble of peeking into every floor he came across.]

[ Sayaka nods... insert all the floors she explored and found safe here - all the lowers floors and those near the elevator stops... I'm not lazy at all with the descriptions, nope. ]

...Yeah, that'd really help me, thanks, er...

[...Whoopsies, looks like they forgot to share names.]

Sayaka. Sayaka Maizono. Nice to meet you.

Shiki Tohno, nice to meet you as well.

[ Whenever the hunger gets to be a bit too much, Satsuki goes to this floor. It helps her really in clearing her thoughts out; replacing one fear with the fear of not being able to make it out of this place really does provide some aid. It's well beyond the time of crisis, so there's no animosity as she turns a corner right into his path. ]

Huh, who's the-----[ She doesn't even finish her words. ]

[There's a blank stare as the boy stared at the other girl quizzically.

Hey, that's a familiar face, except, like always he can't really put a name on her face, which is all the more confusing considering they had promised something really important a few days, or was it the day before-?

Well, before his life was kinda shot to hell and back.]

[ It's okay, because she's come to terms with Certain Things and can overcome this obstacle just as easily as the rest. With a nod, she straightens up. ]

Welcome to the tower. [ That's something a classmate should say to another, right? ] This place isn't too bad once you overcome the initial shock.

[There's a few more seconds of silence as he searched his mind for a name to put with the face.

...Er...Right.]

Yumizuka-san, right? Er, thanks for the welcome.

[Awkward...]

I don't know about that one, though. I mean, monsters are usually bad news to any living person.

You don't run into them often. Only if you're on the other floors and it's nighttime.

[ Quietly adding on: ] I won't let them get to you, okay?

U-uh, are you sure you should be saying that?

[Well, considering that Yumizuka-san really doesn't strike him as the type that'd be capable of.

Y'know.

Fighting.]

Not that I doubt you or anything, but I never knew you fight, Yumizuka-san.

I didn't know how to fight for a while, but I learned.

[ Offering a slight smile. ] I bet there's other things about me that you don't know about. Maybe... maybe we can get to know each other here.

[ She sounds so sad when she says something like that. ]

Well, I guess we have all the time in the world to do that, now.

[There's a wry laugh from him, sure it's kind of a morbid joke even for his taste, but laughter is better rather than being bothered by these kind of things.]

[ Oh, is she supposed to laugh at something of that nature? It seems wrong to, but if he is... ]

Right, all the time in the world... [ Satsuki manages a quiet, but surely awkward laugh. ] In this world at least.

Um, do you know much about this place?

Considering I've just been dumped here without any way of knowing all that's true...

[Beat.]
