Everyone loves movies

Characters: P4 Cast
Setting: Media Room, early evening/late afternoon
Format: Action, but whatever is fine!
Summary: Tis movie night! Bruce Lee and all the wonderful action movies!
Warnings: Most likely fighting over food and random martial arts moves presented by Chie.

[It's been a rough few weeks, for obvious reasons. Her best friend was gone, so now Chie was worried sick about her until she finally figured it out on her own. She finally decided that it was time to stop moping around and actually do something productive. And what better of a way to get rid of those blues than watching Bruce Lee in action? Granted this was a bit of a last minute decision, but she did want to invite all of her friends to the Media Room, telling them they could bring whomever they wanted. Watching movies by herself didn't sound like much of a pleasant idea anyway.

So now, with her movies in hand, she makes her way to the destination. She can only hope that they bring the snacks, because well...we should all know this by now...]

[Well...Kanji had grabbed 'stuff' in the cafeteria. This wasn't a animal crackers, but at least it wasn't protein bars either.

Despite everything in the tower, an evening with friends sounded like a good idea. Especially when you knew what they were saying.]

Senpai!

[And Rise's following right on his heels, carrying an armload of drinks she found on a similar raid of the cafeteria--mostly tea and juice. It's not exactly what she would've chosen if they were back home, but it's still better than nothing, right?]

Hey! We found what we could, buuut it's not quite the same sorta stuff that we would've chosen if there was a Junes here. It should still be pretty good though!

[After setting down the drinks, she settles herself on one of the couches in front of the TV.]

Everyone else is way late--I say let's start the show already! So what're we watching first, Chie-senpai?

[Being privvy to just one of the girls' collective cooking attempts was more than enough incentive to swing by the kitchen on her way here to grab snacks. She knows full well she has no room to talk, but at the very least she knows she's capable of following a simple recipe.

She's just behind Rise, her arms full of snacks.]

Junes or no, anything is better than the protein bars provided.

[You're welcome, Naoto. For that small little story time about Mystery Food X. Just saying. He'd decided to grab some non-alcoholic drinks (no thank you, Reno; it's not that kind of movie night). Yu and Rise had the same idea, it seems. ...Figures.]

[And she's up off the couch and at Yu's side in a heartbeat ~~big surprise there~~ She pouts a bit at the teasing, but she's too excited about this movie night for it to be very convincing.]

[She smiles at them.]

Hey you guys! We're gonna watching my favorite movie of course!

[Chie was laughing at the bantering going on. Oh how she loved her friends, they were all goofballs, herself including. But still that doesn't mean there won't be teasing coming from her end of this.]

Sheesh Rise, could have sworn you were a magnet or something.

[Kanji suddenly looks nervous when it's just him and Naoto standing up with their snacks.]

U-umm...do you want to take a seat?

[He's offering you a seat first. Lead the way. Like a true gentleman. Totally not blushing either OH MY GODS. Should he be attempting an arm cuddles too--WAIT why is he taking notes from RISE aaaaaa---]

W-wait for me!

[Nanako was just behind Yu, almost running into him when he stopped (and was promptly pounced on by Rise). She had an armload of snacks in her hands that she was struggling not to drop all over the place; just non-perishables she managed to scrounge from the kitchen last month. Sorry, Chie; no meat snacks.]

[o-oh. oh she and Kanji are the only two standing.... this shouldn't make her nervous why is she suddenly nervous oh my god what is even is this real life.]

A-ah, yes. Thank you.

[BUT THEN SUDDENLY NANAKO. She puts down her own small pile of snacks, rushing over to help her.]

Would you like a hand with those Nanako-chan?

Uh...hey, guys.

[Walking in was one (1) uncertain-looking android.]

Am I late--aw dang, was I supposed t' bring somethin'?

[Oh dear, incoming girlfriend attack in three, two--

At least he managed to put some of the drinks down before arm cuddles was a thing. He chuckles a little bit, especially after Nanako lightly bumps into him.]

How am I not surprised... Nanako-?

[He was going to ask whether she needed any help with those again when he caught the looks Kanji and Naoto were giving one another. ...Did they just start dating?

THEN SUDDENLY LABRYS.]

Don't worry about it. No one had to bring anything.

[They all just ended up bringing things by sheer coincidence.] Besides, didn't you bring the beef bowl last time...?

[Nanako wobbled a bit, looking worriedly down at her arm load, before she managed to get a hand on everything. She gave Naoto a bright smile.]

No thank you! I've got it.

[Don't mind her as she totters over to a table to set her snacks down.]

[Chie's kind of confused at first when she sees Labrys, but her friends seem to know her so might as well invite her in!]

Like Narukami said, don't worry about it! I didn't bring anything either.

[She gives Nanako a smile.]

You sure did bring a lot of stuff, Nanako-chan!

[Kanji for his part just settles his stuff in near silence. Waiting...waiting for Naoto to pick a seat place first so he can not-so-subtlety sit next to her probably maybe.

Maybe.

He just keeps looking over at Rise and Senpai and mentally trying to---NO WAIT HE NEEDS TO STOP THINKING ABOUT THAT.]

...we won't run out of food.

[THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT INSIGHT.]

[Naoto chuckles, smiling at Nanako before finally... taking.... a seat.... on the couch.......... finally.]

Or drinks, for that matter.

Y-yeah!

[And almost a little too fast, he sits next to her.

He just...he just wanted to make sure he got to sit next to her alright?! WAIT...]

[Ooh, claiming seats! Good idea, guys! ~~She'd tried before, but well. Senpai showing up was more important!~~]

C'mon Yu-senpai, let's sit over here!

[Without relinquishing her hold on Yu's arm, she starts pulling him over to the opposite end of the couch from Naoto and Kanji. On the way there, she half-turns and calls back over her shoulder]

Nanako-chan, too! Come sit with us when you're done, okay?

[Nanako poked her head up, a bright look on her face.]

Ah! Right away!

[She quickly arranged her load on a table, making it look as pretty as she could, before rushing over to Yu's other side, clinging to his other arm.]

[Rise-chan please. As he's semi-led to the aforementioned couch, he can't help but line-face at the whole ordeal (as usual), but then look at the others over his shoulder.

Did he mind that he had two girls on either arm? Nope. He's just going to debate how long before he whispers and nods. ...Probably will wait until the movie starts and just enjoy having his girlfriend and his sister on either side of him while it's semi-peaceful.]

[Nanako let out a happy giggle as they all piled onto the couch, snuggling close to her brother. Wow, it looked more like they were one big happy family...]

[She peered around her brother, looking up at Rise on his other side.]

Rise-chan? Can I ask you something?

[Rise ~~stops rubbing her cheek against Yu's arm~~ dials back the cuddling for the moment and leans forward a bit, smiling encouragingly at the younger girl.]

Sure, Nanako-chan! Ask away!

[Nanako paused, looking between her and her brother, before looking back up at her.]

Should I start calling you onee-chan now?

[...And WHOA suddenly feeling kinda shy, what is this, normally she only feels like that when she's alone with Yu...]

...I'd like that a lot, Nanako-chan. Buuut...let's leave that up to your onii-chan, okay?

At this point, only two people would know her enough to recognize her at first glance--it's good ol' Shepard, waltzing on into the Media Room and just having a look around...

Well, until she spots the bunch of teenagers and bitty being teenagers and a bitty. She definitely missed something before she got here. That leaves only one option--stick her nose into dis shitto. 8|]

He seriously got saved by his little cousin's roommate. Clearly the only choice is to pretend to pull a Yukiko while she is back home and can't be oblivious. Even if in his case it's only acting.]

[Chie was far too busy laughing at the scene, that is...until Yu made the comment about the hole. You should have known she would have taken it personally. Because...they are watching Bruce Lee movies...]

[You know, how Yosuke landed on his ass (and thus his wallet) pretty close to the bullseye on the stage? Besides he almost punched a TV when his Shadow manifested until common sense kicked in.]

Can't help but agree. It'd be wasteful to go up here and not actually do anything with this room. [She wasn't all that familiar with Bruce Lee, but she's at least familiar with the name. Ah, the wonders of 2185's answer to Wikipedia... anyway, she'll sit down and offer a spot for the bitty.]

[Poor Nanako... she pouted next to her brother, denied an answer she was really curious about. She cast her gaze down, snuggling closer to her big brother as Chie tried to cover... whatever it was she was trying to cover? Seriously, what happened when they first met Teddie?]

[Rise's pouting a little, too, actually. Because aww, she'd really kinda wanted to know what he'd say, even if she wasn't really serious about making him decide about something that important right now.

...Still, it would've been nice to hear his answer...]

Maybe. [Thank you, Chie. The movie is going to give him a little cover when he actually does say something. Maybe another day he'll tell Nanako about the incident where Yosuke landed on the bullseye of the stage. Maybe.

Cue a slight leeeean towards Nanako, and a faint whisper.]

Maybe some day, okay?

[He can't take the double pout, okay.]

[Nanako brightened a little bit at the whisper, smiling and giving a nod, before snuggling up closer to him.]

Rise's not 100% sure if he's saying that that's when he'll tell Nanako about his first meeting with Teddie, or if he means...well. Something else. Honestly, she's really hoping for that something else, but for now she's more than happy just to be here with Yu like this, hanging out and doing something fun, surrounded by their friends--their family.

...Speaking of their friends...

Rise leans forward, ignoring the movie for the moment and craning her neck to look down the couch at Naoto and Kanji, and sure enough...]

C'mon you two, sit a little closer together! You could fit a whole other person between you!

[She lifts her eyes and looks back and forth between Rise, Kanji and the space between the two of them a few times. Her cheeks flush pink, but she still manages to give Rise a very unamused lineface.]

That's a bit of an exaggeration, Rise-chan.

[only like HALF a person could fit there. gosh.]

[Yeah it's just half a person and...WAIT.]

Yeah we--Kujikawa! That ain't funny at all!

[Using his indoor voice. That voice of surprise with the slightly higher octave that clearly tells that you caught him off-guard like you have a tenancy to do.]

[...These kids are so rambunctious. Shepard can't help but grin a little as she watches them.]

"Not until the TV's kicked", huh? I'd say it's pretty crazy as it is.

[Yeah that was the other thing bothering Kanji now that he thought about it, when the lady spoke up again. So he very politely--]

Who are you anyway?

[Hey, he was being polite! He didn't even "Who the hell are you anyway." It's an improvement!]

Alia Shepard. [She points a thumb at Yu for a sec.] Yu there felt like bringing me along.

[She also helped him when he was possessed by his costume, but that's something up to the bowlcut to disclose.]

[He nods at that, trying not to smirk as well at the actions of his own team. Rise, gf, you have NO idea how much he was waiting for that moment you noticed.]

She helped protect Nanako last month when most of us were... indisposed, and she's her roommate. [Because obviously this was more important than OH HI I WENT CRAZY TOO.

His grip on the two girls on either side of him may have tightened slightly for just a brief moment at the thought.]

[Nanako looked up at her brother, almost able to see the gloomy cloud settling over him again. They couldn't have that right now... she needed to lighten the mood somehow.]

Y-yeah, and onii-chan and Shepard-san are friends...

[She paused, trying to think of a good way to say why their friends other than protecting her, and almost failing.]

[Almost.]

Shepard-san can punch onii-chan flat.

...To be fair, Toudou-san wore me down before she arrived.
