Summary: Shion wakes up, and decides to explore a little because that's totally a good idea.

[It was like a waking nightmare, and it felt completely surreal. Waking up in the tower, reading the letters that had been left there for her. She almost didn't know what to make of it. There was no way something like that could have happened to the Elsa... And her friends.

It didn't take her too long to push past the shock. She knew she had to get up and get out (and get her blood moving before she froze to death). She found her clothes and her weapon in the trunk at the end of her bed, and as soon as she was properly dressed, she set off to find out what had really happened.

After finding it, she rode the elevator down, and when the doors opened at Floor 21, she exited to the stairs. She wasn't sure why. Some instinct drew her out, and downward. Past the restaurant, and very carefully down the crumbling outdoor ramp. It was possibly somewhere in the bloodied hand print room that echoed with tortured screams that she began to wonder if her instincts were really something she could trust anymore, as she picked up the pace. She raced down the next few floors, as fast as she could without injuring herself, until finally she reached the 14th floor.

She was tired, cold, frightened, and confused. The media room seemed safe enough, and electronics were a somewhat familiar sight. So, looking shaken, she sank to her knees just off the stairs.]

What is this place...?

[Searching for Earth..it sounded like they were from the future. chaos braced himself. This would be painful to hear, but she had to hear it.]

Shion..before I came here, I was helping KOS-MOS save the Elsa from burning up in Second Miltia's atmosphere. We had just destroyed Proto Merkabah.

What? chaos, how is that possible? So much has happened since then...

[It really feels like it had been even longer than just a little over a year since that had happened. So many things had transpired.]

The people running this Tower seem to have the ability to pull people from alternate universes as well as the past and future. So, you are from my future and I am from your past. If you doubt me, KOS-MOS is here, and she is from my point of time as well.

[He wasn't going to say anything about Wilhelm and Allen. He didn't know what she knew about Wilhelm if she was from the future, and Allen..it was best just to stay quiet about Allen until it needed to be brought up.]

KOS-MOS is here too... I almost can't believe it. I really... I wasn't sure if I would see any of you again!

[She smiles, but after a moment, it falls slightly.]

What about Jin..?

[chaos smiled.] You will. After all, we're here..and while I'm not sure what will happen in the future, you'll see us again there too.

[As long as Anima doesn't activate and KOS-MOS doesn't get destroyed. However, the probability of those things happening seems rather low. At least, to chaos. The smile fell when she mentioned Jin.]

I'm sorry. Jin isn't here..at least, right now. The Administrators might decide to throw him in here later, but for right now, he is not here.

[She closed her eyes for a breath. She had already known the answer, but she had to ask. She had to hear it for some reason. On one hand she had hoped for a real chance to reconcile with her brother. On the other, she really didn't wish the experience of this tower on anyone, so maybe it was for the best.]

[While chaos would have loved to say that she would see Jin again, he had no idea what happened in the future. If he said that, it could have just acted as a knife instead of a band-aid. So, he altered that statement a little bit.]

Don't worry. He may come by here. However..you have to understand that it may not be the same Jin you remember. He may come from the past, like me, or from an alternate universe. However, until that time, you'll have to survive. How much do you know about this Tower?

[Like Allen.]

Not very much. I read the letters I was given, and I've... seen some of the floors while getting to this one.

[chaos nodded.]

Then I shall tell you what I know about this Tower then. First, your world is not destroyed. If mine was, then..I would have a way to know about it. So your world is probably fine.

As for who runs this Tower, a few Administrators run it. I know of only two-a man named Dax, who seems nice and polite, and an old, child-like person named Ruana who sees the experiments as games that she performs on the residents. The Administrators torture and experiment on the residents sometimes. Not even children are spared. Monsters also roam the halls at night. It is a very dangerous place.

There are children here too?

[It sounded pretty horrible really...]

No one's found a way to leave? Not even KOS-MOS?

Yes, there are. I have even spoken to some of them. And no..no one has found a way to leave. Not even KOS-MOS or Wilhelm. However, I am sure that the moment a way to leave is found, they shall know, so we just have to wait.

I just wonder if there's anything I can do to help them...

If there is, they will let you know. They're not they type to keep quiet if something needs to be done. However, until then, you can help by keeping yourself alive and healthy. You could also help those around you..but that would be helping me out more than it would be helping them out.

[She nodded. She knew making herself sick wouldn't do anyone any good. Especially not those who cared about her.]

That's what I want to do. Help everyone here, if I can.

[chaos smiled.]

I'm happy to hear that. It'd probably be best if you started by standing up. You could get around in that position all day, but I don't think it would work very well.

[The last comments were made as a joke, an attempt to calm her down and cheer her up.]

[She smiles, shaking her head. It was kind of nice to see him that way. He seemed so melancholy all through the times leading up to the end of their journeys together.

But, she did stand.]

[chaos stood up with her. She seemed to have cheered up for the moment, which was good. She'd need every ounce of cheer she could find in this place.]

Yes?

...Nevermind. I guess I'm just happy to see you again, that's all.

It is nice to see you again..especially since knowing you're from the future lets me know that everything will be alright for a little while longer.

Yeah...

[Oh right, the future... WELL, hopefully they made it to Lost Jerusalem, so it wasn't actually bad, right?]

[It probably wouldn't be. Not that this chaos would know.]

By the way, Shion, do you have any warmer clothes? Or a really heavy jacket? It's getting cold in this Tower, and I doubt that the temperature will rise until January.

The only other clothing in my trunk was my old Vector uniform. It's really not that much warmer...

[chaos nodded, thinking.]

Alright then. I'll give you my bedsheets and blankets then. The cold doesn't bother me, so I shall be alright. And if you ever feel too chilly, let me know. I may be able to warm you up. I have enough power for that, at least.

Oh, don't mention it. I'm the one who should be saying that, to be honest. This place is pretty dangerous. If you need any help, let me know. We'll all have to help each other out if we want to survive.
