It was pure self-indulgence, you couldn't get enough of the drama

Characters: Revolver Ocelot (AU), OPEN
Setting: Starting at floor 38, then off to floor 40
Format: I'll match.
Summary: Ocelot gets used to her new surroundings.
Warnings: Nothing yet, possible violence.

She had never experienced anything quite like this. Being kidnapped and brought to some other world under the pretense of being "saved" was something that would be almost curious had she not been trapped here, in some vicious hellhole where death seemed to lurk at every corner. Fortunately for her, being a lifelong soldier gave her a small advantage. She was carefully aware of every footfall, every sound that she was making. Here, she hadn't seen any sign of monsters, but it didn't mean that they weren't out there, lurking just beyond her sight.

Not even for a moment could Ocelot let her guard drop in the event that some creature was out there. She kept her gun at her side, alert of any new noises, even as she took a cautious glance through the windows and the fog below.

"I haven't seen one." Enoch glanced again about the room, as if it held answers he hadn't found yet somehow. "Jason certainly isn't giving us very much to work with..."

"If we can make a kiln - if there is one, it's advanced enough that I can't recognize it. The heat of it itself might make for good heat, come to think of it, while it burns."

Enoch was thinking to himself, possibly aloud for the sake of not alienating the other person in the room. He looked up at Ocelot. "You didn't recognize a kiln in the workshop level, did you?"

Enoch nodded. If she was going to look for one, that left him to find a means to light a fire. Or to at least bring some wood in to dry. The snowfall outside can't have helped any of the wood.

"I'll gather fuel for a fire. It will be useful whether you find one or not."

"Thank you. My name is Enoch. I...tend to keep moving, but my room is 3-18."

"The same to you, Ocelot."

She hadn't given her room number, but then, it was he who was seeking information she would be finding. He was sure if he needed her he could find her name on the plates by the doors.
