intro
Characters: Jin Uzuki (AU2
wasjustascratch) and OPEN
Setting: Room 1-16, Floor 12, Floor 3 library
Format: starting prose but with change
Summary: Jin is new in the tower and explores
Warnings: Angry sister alert?
Room 1-16
Waking in this room, unable to move. For a moment, Jin thought he was dead again but once he died again, he couldn’t come back… could he? It reminded him of when Wihelm had first appeared to him and offered this chance to him, the chance to become a Testament and help him, help Shion. He’d leapt at it. But Wilhelm wasn’t here. He confirmed that when he found his body under his control and sat up, looking confused over his garment and the collar. A collar he attempted to remove before eyeing the letters.
Letter that ended up in a crumbled mess on the floor before burning with from a fire ether. He typically didn’t use fire ethers but this was fitting. So very fitting. He couldn’t believe it. How could he still live if the universe was destroyed? It was ridiculous. Save someone more worth saving. Like Shion…
Going to his trunk, he changed quickly into a black suit and long jacket sans the gloves. A moment later, he quickly hung his katana in his belt after a quick inspection to ensure that it wasn’t damaged. And then he left. For now he was just a regular man exploring the tower, not a Testament.
Floor 12
Jin found himself simply standing on this floor, looking at the stars as they die, watching color vanish and lights explode from dying planets. Studying the phenomenon. He didn’t expect the Lower Domains collapse to be anything like that. Imagining it as death in an instant, everything and everyone ceasing to exist in the same moment. Not even the time to wonder what was happening.
Floor 3
Well now, this was a place he could be comfortable. He’d often browsed through his grandfathers old collection of printed books. Jin had, oddly, always found the past far more interesting that anything his own time had to offer. His family found it strange. He didn’t change anything for them but he didn’t let himself become lost in the past, that was the difference they never seemed to comprehend.
Now he was comfortably seated in the library with several books around him and one opened on his lap, already about a third of the way through it.

"I guess the Jin you know wasn't quite so careless as I had been. You're right though, I did. He made me an offer I couldn't refuse." Shion was in danger. He had to save her.
no subject
After all, he had managed to be friends with the Allen here. It may be possible to be friends with this Jin too.
no subject
He smiled, just a bit. He can't help but feel a pang of regret in his chest at the idea of being friends with chaos. It sounded as though they had been so in the universe that chaos knew.
"I wouldn't object."
no subject
chaos returned the smile. "I am glad to hear that. I know it may be rather awkward..but hopefully we can be good friends. I'll help you out whenever I can..if you'll even need my help."
no subject
Caring for Shion when she was unconscious was one of the only things he could do for her after Miltia.
"I'm sure that I will." HELP ME HIDE FROM SHION. "And you can call on me if you need anything, of course."
no subject
"I will. Hopefully I won't have to call on you too often, but I will if I have to."
no subject
"As will I." Perhaps not asking help for him personally. He'd place Shion ahead in priorities.
no subject
"I am glad to hear that. Now..as for helping you, I suppose I could start by telling you about this Tower. How much do you know about it already?"
no subject
"Very little. Only that those that brought us here claim to have saved us."
no subject
This Tower is called Animus. As far as I know, it is run by four people: Dax, who seems like a kind man and acts as PR, Riki, who is in charge of the records and is very secretive, Jason, who is responsible fore the current temperature drop, and Ruana, who acts childlike, but is thousands of years old and seems to want friends.
She and Jason both put the residents through horrible experiments and tortures. Not even children are spared. I do not know why Jason does it, but Ruana seems to think that it is all a game for people to have fun with.
Monsters roam the hallways at night. You should not have any problems with them, but being aware of them is better than not being aware. And that, sadly, is all I know."
no subject
He can't help but imagine little Shion, as she was on Old Miltia, getting stuck here. He knows that she's not that young here in the tower but the thought gets in there.
"We can't allow them to hurt people senselessly. What we can do though... I have no idea."
And that was something Jin didn't like most of all. A lack of power of their part.
no subject
chaos sighed. "However..I have gotten an idea that may help. I shall have to wait until next month to see if that idea will hold any water though. So..until then, we shall just have to hold out as best we can."
While helping others, of course. But for chaos, that went without saying.
no subject
"If you need any help, I will make myself available."
no subject
"I am sorry..I don't like talking around it and hiding it any more than you do. But..if the Administrators are monitoring us, then speaking openly about it will only give them an edge over us, even on an unfinished plan. And there are no lemons around, and I am not quite familiar with the chemicals in the research lab, so I cannot send secret messages to people. I do not enjoy this at all though."
chaos sighed and nodded. "Thank you..and the same goes for you as well."
no subject
That's a rather disturbing thought, actually. Even thoughts having a danger to them. Although, if they weren't safe, then there was no safe way of doing anything.
"You're welcome, chaos."
no subject
After all, if they could read minds, they would have stopped that group from even planning their attack on the drones. And they would have nipped his idea in the bud as well. chaos smiled at the welcome, but said nothing more about it.
no subject
If only they had been able to. Alas, it was no meant to be.
Wilhelm probably knew.no subject
"However, if the other person could hear you and respond, if their response was easy to see through, even with codes, the Administrators would know about what you were planning. It really is quite a bother."

After all, chaos had evaded Wilhelm, and even though his friends had been killed, some had survived. He could survive this with the other residents too. It wasn't like he was giving up..just thinking over the situation.
no subject
"And that will take time, learning things here."
no subject
"A little bit of time, but I have been here a little while. I have been able to find out quite a few things, and the things I don't know shan't remain hidden for long. Even if I make a small mistake here and there, I'll find out a way to get by them."
no subject
Maybe Jin and Allen could resist. This wasn't their Wilhelm after all.
no subject
If they wanted to resist, chaos would gladly help them in that area as well.
no subject
Hopefully soon. Not that it would matter much for Jin, so close to the end as he was. If everything went back to normal when they escaped, there would be maybe an hour or two before Shion activated Zarathustra.
