Characters: Vanellope and anyone who's willing to talk to a brat with dirty hair!
Setting: First floor cafeteria.
Format: Either or! I'll be starting with action, but I'll follow your lead if you want something else.
Summary: Vanellope has discovered that she has to eat oatmeal and she is not amused.
Warnings: May be vaguely spoilerish if you haven't seen Wreck-It Ralph yet. Also, Vanellope gives inappropriate nicknames.

_{[This day was already turning out to be way weirder than Vanellope wanted to deal with. The last thing she remembered-- those creepy bugs coming out of the ground, and a crash, and Ralph yelling, and then--

...waking up here, and finding that weird note. Luckily the words were all simple enough for her to understand. Unluckily... the words were all simple enough for her to understand. No way could Sugar Rush have been destroyed! Glitches couldn't leave their game, right? And... and...

But those bugs, A small, nagging voice in the back of her mind whispered. Remember those bugs?

She didn't want to deal with it.

Another thing she didn't want to deal with? The jumpsuits. Uh, hello? Totally not her style! Her hoodie was much better racer material, thank you. She'd changed clothes and grabbed a handful of candy from her trunk ASAP.

Exploring the tower was something she definitely needed to do. She found herself at the bottom floor cafeteria more quickly than she would have thought - idly bringing a piece of licorice up to her lips to chew on, she passes through the doors.

A moment later, just after swallowing, she gags. Both hands fly up to her mouth and she makes a dash for the nearest trash can, jumping up to empty her stomach into it.]}

What--?!

_{[When the vomiting subsides, she hops back down onto the floor and eyes the licorice suspiciously.]}

...bad licorice.

_{[With that, she pops a mint into her mouth. A moment later, she has to jump back up to the edge of the trash can. This is not okay. She's sure she could have some fun with it if it didn't make her stomach hurt so bad... but it does hurt. And it's not just one or two candies. She's trying it out with everything she's got, and the result's the same every time. Finally, she collapses on the ground next to the trash can, her face a little green.]}

This really stinks!

[She doesn't even have the energy to make some snarky comment. She just shakes her head.]

Yes, they've somehow arranged it so anyone who doesn't eat oatmeal at least ones gets sick. I'm really not sure why. But it might help your stomach anyway.

What kind of stupid rule is that?

[Grumble, grumble. Oatmeal is way too healthy for a kid from Sugar Rush, thank you. She's so upset that - just for a moment - she glitches, her next two words a little garbled.]

And how would they make that happen? Has someone been messing with this place's code?

[...if so, that would make sense, she thinks. Someone's already done it once - she can remember King Candy talking about it shortly before the crash. So maybe she's still in Sugar Rush after all, just... some even weirder unfinished bonus level than Diet Cola Mountain. But where are all the carts? And the candy? And why do all the other characters here look different from everyone she knows?

This is giving her a headache. She makes a face, furrowing her brows and wrinkling her nose.]

[She squints just a little at that glitching.]

We think it might be possible because of the collars.

[She pauses.]

I'm sorry, this may seem like a strange question, but are you a human?

Human? 'Course I am! Do I look like I'm a talking sourball or an oreo or a devil dog or something?

_{[She jumps up a little and spreads her arms wide. Head, check. Arms, check. Legs, check. Yeah, she's looking pretty human today.]}

[She smiles warmly, BUT she'll keep an eye out for more glitches, because that wasn't very human-like... And now she's curious.]

So then, Miss Are-You-Human-Or-Not, what's the deal with these collars?

[She tugs on hers, wrinkling her nose again when it doesn't seem to come loose at all.]

And how come yours is a different color?

Well, I don't know too much about them yet. But I was told that there is a group of people who brought us here, and they're the ones who put these on us. Apparently, the color corresponds to the day you're supposed to have your collar checked by the staff.

[It's actually a pretty terrible situation! But, she's trying to make light of it. Hopefully nothing too bad will happen to the poor kid.]

[The collars sound like something out of King Candy's fungeon.]

I'm sorry, I haven't seen anyone like that. But you know, people are arriving all the time. Even if he isn't here right now, he might be soon.

[She droops a little, and a few moments pass before she gets herself together, shakes her head, and forces a grin.]

Y-yeah, he'll show up! And when I do I'll give him the biggest scolding for worrying me, hah! Maybe I'll even make him take a bath to get rid of his dump-stench!

Well, I think the catch is being stuck in the tower. I've heard strange rumors about the administrators, and some of the things that go on here.

Administrators? So they're in charge of this place?

[What... like Mister Litwak? The arcade owner seemed nice enough. No way would he mess with a game's code like this.]

Have you ever seen 'em? What kind of rumors?

No, I haven't seen them yet. Apparently, it's difficult to contact them unless they want to be contacted, especially since there are quite a few people here who are angry about having been kidnapped.

I've been told many things. They can restrict powers with these collars, so people who would normally be able to stop them are rendered powerless when an administrator comes. I've also been told that this entire tower is some sort of experiment.

But, many of us are still working on trying to figure things out.

It is very wrong.

Not that we've found. Right now, a lot of us are just trying to keep warm. But once we figure out a solution for the cold, I'm sure everyone will be looking for the way out again.

[She shoves her hands into the front pocket of her hoodie. Every game has some little blip in the code - Sugar Rush had it. Just look at her, after all. And Diet Cola Mountain. And as far as she knows, this place is made of code too. It's just a matter of glitching around and seeing what parts of the tower react, she thinks.]
