Setting: First floor cafeteria.
Format: Either or! I'll be starting with action, but I'll follow your lead if you want something else.
Summary: Vanellope has discovered that she has to eat oatmeal and she is not amused.
Warnings: May be vaguely spoilerish if you haven't seen Wreck-It Ralph yet. Also, Vanellope gives inappropriate nicknames.

<sub>[This day was already turning out to be way weirder than Vanellope wanted to deal with. The last thing she remembered-- those creepy bugs coming out of the ground, and a crash, and Ralph yelling, and then--

...waking up here, and finding that weird note. Luckily the words were all simple enough for her to understand. Unluckily... the words were all simple enough for her to understand. No way could Sugar Rush have been destroyed! Glitches couldn't leave their game, right? And... and...

But those bugs, A small, nagging voice in the back of her mind whispered. Remember those bugs?

She didn't want to deal with it.

Another thing she didn't want to deal with? The jumpsuits. Uh, hello? Totally not her style! Her hoodie was much better racer material, thank you. She'd changed clothes and grabbed a handful of candy from her trunk ASAP.

Exploring the tower was something she definitely needed to do. She found herself at the bottom floor cafeteria more quickly than she would have thought - idly bringing a piece of licorice up to her lips to chew on, she passes through the doors.

A moment later, just after swallowing, she gags. Both hands fly up to her mouth and she makes a dash for the nearest trash can, jumping up to empty her stomach into it.]</sub>

What--?!

_{[When the vomiting subsides, she hops back down onto the floor and eyes the licorice suspiciously.]}

...bad licorice.

_{[With that, she pops a mint into her mouth. A moment later, she has to jump back up to the edge of the trash can. This is not okay. She's sure she could have some fun with it if it didn't make her stomach hurt so bad... but it does hurt. And it's not just one or two candies. She's trying it out with everything she's got, and the result's the same every time. Finally, she collapses on the ground next to the trash can, her face a little green.]}

This really stinks!

[That brings back some rather unpleasant memories, so she goes quiet and fidgets for a few moments.]

Sorry... are you okay? At least, we can get you something to eat that'll stay down first... and maybe do something about all the junk stuck in your hair.

[Kazumi is just grimacing looking at those sticky sweets in her hair]

...?!

[She's not even going to answer the "Are you okay?" - she's just going to bring her hands up and shield her hair protectively.]

This isn't junk, it's decoration!

Eh?! You mean you put it there?

Uh, yeah! Looks pretty good on me, don't'cha think?

I, uh... I guess it's pretty colorful? [It's kind of cute but it... also kind of looks like she fell in a garbage can full of candy. Having just been puking into one doesn't help either.]

Oh, right, here!

[Kazumi proffers the towels so she can wipe her face if she wants after that; kind of got distracted talking before]

[She takes the towels and wipes off her face.]

Well, let's get you some oatmeal first so you stop upsetting your stomach with other things. After you eat that, you can eat whatever you want... though there isn't really much food around right now.

Why is that? Are the people who work in there just really bad at cooking or something?

[starofpleiades]

Well, not exactly. Every month there's a different menu, and this month the only thing on the menu is water and nutrition bars.

...they don't taste very good.

Ewwww...

[She wrinkled her nose. Water and nutrition bars? Where were the gummies? The chocolate? The candy?

She was already not liking this place...]

Yeah, it's pretty bad but it's better than nothing... there was a month where we were given no food at all, and had to hunt around for our own or starve...

WHAT?!

Hunt for what?! We're in a tower! What'd they do, hide all the food somewhere?!

Um, well, some floors have wild animals on them, and there's also a couple were we can grow and gather things...

Most of them are just dangerous though.

Well that sucks. And I thought the Nesquik-sand back home was bad!

Is there any candy 'round here, at least? Even some sour gummies would be good!

[Kazumi shudders at the mention of "candy", remembering what happened in October]

N-no, not really...

[Vanellope's shoulders slumped.]

Aww man...

Well, there's a few sweet things, like berries if you search the forest! Those are a bit hard to find with the snow though... it's pretty lean for everyone here right now.
