[ 02 ] ✿✿ [ Semi-open ◦ Backdated ]
Characters: Nunnally vi Britannia, Lelouch vi Britannia, and anyone else who was invited to a birthday party. Alternatively, anyone who would slip into this lounge in particular.
Setting: Floor 38, backdated to the afternoon of December 5th.
Format: Tagger's choice. Free for all, make your own threads, do your own thang.
Summary: Someone has a birthday today. You should show up to spank him since Nunnally can't.
Warnings: Teenager shenanigans, will tag future stuff.
Not that it would be much of a party in the first place. This month made it difficult to acquire treats, although there may be something special for the birthday boy a little later. Nunnally's made it her goal to invite people to join that she thinks would be there, but since the lounge is public, there's no telling just who might be here. Really, it's more of a gathering of people than an actual birthday party. Minimal decorations are hung up, but in a tower that didn't really provide much for them, preparations are hard to come by. No matter any of that: anyone who wished to attend could find a small group of people mingling amongst themselves with the intent of trying to have a good time despite other incidents in the tower. In fact, a couple of them just might be completely oblivious to what's going on.

That would be the case if he didn't know Nunnally was the one behind it. Truth be told he was surprised that she would even celebrate it for him after knowing what had happened back home as well as all the unaired mess that his Shadow also did in its wake.
But enough about that, have a teenager just sitting in one corner of the room.

Happy birthday... nii-san...

Did you hunt them yourself?
no subject
I did. I hunted and skinned them. These will keep you warm, nii-san.

[Well, that's the very least he can do for this... tool of his.]
no subject
Is there anything else I can do for you, nii-san?
no subject
['As in, relax and do nothing.']

[He nods though as he has to obey his big brother. Yet there's something that's been gnawing at him...]
Nii-san. ... what am I to you?
no subject
[And a murderer, and a tool. All that was left unsaid as he tried to keep up the pretense that he still viewed him as one of his own.]

I AM THE LATEST EQ, IT IS ME.... late to my own logs
You can knit? [ Nope, there's more important things to discuss than his birthday. ]

[Deadpan answer as he continued to do the action, yep.]

It's awfully troubling to turn down an invitation by a girl with as open and sincere a face as Nunnally's.
So when Archer shows up, he has his arms folded and he's sticking to the edge of the room, scowling darkly at the "party."
But he's there. ]

...Now, isn't this interesting...
no subject
[And he musters his best sarcasm.]
Isn't it? I'd be really interested in knowing what you're doing here, too.
[But he has a sneaking suspicion...]

Sure you would've known when someone is celebrating the day they are born?
no subject
Yes, but that's if they're celebrating. If they're only hanging around making a pitiful nuisance of themselves, I can't tell at all.
no subject
[Point for you, etc. etc. not.]
Though, I never thought you'd be the type for any kinds of celebration.
[After all, he had the impression that the man is as dry as a stick.]

Archer visibly suppresses a scowl.]
I was invited by a girl who seemed to think it important. Should I have turned her down?
no subject
...She asked you to come.
[No, it's cool. It's cool. He's not mad or anything.]

spams you tonight....
Welcome to the party, Archer. I admit it isn't much of one, but at least you can meet my brother.
drowns in tags and dies.
[ He doesn't exactly look surprised. He didn't expect a few things at this party--Lelouch's presence, Nunnally being in a wheelchair--but they make sense enough now that he sees them. ]
You should warn for him. "Beware of insufferable kid at this party."
maybe I should actually tag you back here too that could be something I could do
You wouldn't be too happy about celebrating your birthday in this cold tower, would you? We're trying to make the best of it, but there's only so much we can do.
MAYBE...
[ But he relents, because it's kind of upsetting to see her look sad! Damn. ]
It's bad timing. There was better food available last month, wasn't there? Well, next month you'll probably be able to make him something more, so just say it's a belated present then.
