Summary: After what happened here, Catarina is taking her guilt and anger out on monsters and anything in her path
Warnings: Gore, usual succubus shenanigans

[It started fairly innocently. The first floor was as clean as it usually was, until the stairs were encountered. Once there, it was obvious someone had fought a monster and had a few aggression issues to take out. It was a bloody affair with bits and pieces scattered in quite a few places, but other than that, it wasn't that bad.]

[The following floors had worse. It looked like someone had started to go out of their way to find monsters, the aggression becoming worse and worse. As the carnage started to get worse, there started to be the sound of a woman laughing maniacally. Close to the sixth floor was the source, one Catarina Amanto covered in blood, guts, and possibly little else, knife in her hand and eyes wild. She was laughing still, looking around for her next victim.]

[Jack winced a little, but didn't exactly pull away.]

Just for reference, are you going to take out your anger on me in the fun way or the staby way?

[Catarina paused at that, opening her mouth and pulling away]

Would you find either one fun?

[Jack snickered.]

Well, both could very well be fun, but the staby one might involve a sword. And not the usual one, I mean.

[She lifted her knife up so be could see it] You'd come back. I could carve you up and you would just come back.

Pretty much, yes.

[He looks nonplussed.]

But again, are you in the mood to kill someone or are you in the mood to fight something? There's a difference, you know?

[She blinked once, pulling away]

.... I just want the feeling to stop. Fuck me, fight me, make it stop.

[andajarofdirt]

Oh. One of those.

[He lets out a dramatic sigh.]

I think we might have to do both, yeah? It's okay, love, Captain Jack will make you feel better.

[divinitysoiled]

Then draw whichever sword we will fight with first and do it. Make my heart proud so hard I can hear nothing else.

[Grinning, he bows at her, before dutifully unsheathing his sword. No, not that one, the one hanging form his belt.]

Goes without saying that none of us plays fair, aye, sweetheart?

[Catarina saluted him with her knife, grinning madly]

I wouldn't have it any other way.

[Jack laughs at that.]

Good.

[And then swings at her.]

[Catarina dodged the swing easily, spinning smoothly into a high roundhouse kick]

[Jack either stumbled or rolled, it was hard to say, but he definitely avoided that one.]

Flexibility is definitely one of your better virtues, darling.

[Yes, yes, he went there. Also trying to kick at her ankles to trip her over, because he's classy that way.]

Of course it is. I've had plenty of practice.

[She went there too. Her feet kicked out from under her, she hit the ground on one shoulder, already rolling herself up back to her feet just enough to tackle him low]

So would you say you've mastered the art?

[Tackle him low, all it'll do is make him chuckle and throw out a knee to the gut.]

A few hundred years is enough to master such a thing, wouldn't you say?

[She grunted as he kneed her, then twisted with all her demonic strength to throw him to the ground]

[Ow. Rather than cry out at the extra strength of that throw, he bounces and rolls on the ground with a laugh.]

Who needs hundreds of years when you can use a bottle of rum and a good tongue?

For a temporary mastery. I'm more interesting in keeping a permanent one.

[Catarina quickly moved to pin him, smiling widly]

Try to pin him down, he'll just press his sword to her gut now, grinning up at her.]

Darling of mine, sweetest love, you know better than to think anything has any kind of permanence. Why would to be so silly if you are so old?

Talent certainly does. Why bother to keep doing something if you wouldn't make it better than it already was?

[Catarina froze for a moment, then leaned in for a quick kiss before leaping off]

[Watch him roll back to his feet in a nimble way.]

Why bother to keep doing something at all?

Because it's fun. And then with talent you can make it better, of course.

[Like this fight. Boy, she liked this. Catarina let him come to her this time, a smirk on her lips]

Talent is overrated. I much prefer improvisation.

[He's going to walk a half circle around her, steps slow and measured, before diving in with a down-and-left swipe of his sword.]

Of course you do. That is the nature of you in particular.

[Time to hop backwards over the blade, then in to aim a particularly demonic punch to his stomach]

[...hey, no fair, he was using that air in his lungs!]

I thought you liked the nature of me.
