Setting: Floor 19 (research library)
Format: Either or.
Summary: Ken's cranky and looking for his friend. To yell at him.
Warnings: Consentual blood-sucking most likely.

Okay, so Ken had been in worse situations. He'd been hungry and cold before, but at least he wasn't injured and he wasn't alone. He was more alone now than he was used to, but there was Aya, and if he had chosen who he was stuck with, he probably would've chosen the vampire.

That didn't mean he didn't do things that rubbed Ken's fur wrong, and refusing to feed and take care of himself was first on that list. There was a short list of places he knew Aya would end up--the library topped that list, so Ken made his way there and sniffed him out. He wouldn't be able to sneak up on Aya, even if he did have his face in a book, but he wasn't exactly trying to.

"I'll be fine. If you put it off much longer, you'll end up attacking someone, and then I have to talk you out of a black pit of angst which you make really hard. It's better for everyone if you just get it over with."

Sometimes it's hard to believe Ken spent his first six months or so with Weiss not talking at all, isn't it?

The worst part about all of this was that Ken was right. Aya hated to admit to that but it was true. Frowning more, he glared at him for that, almost wishing he hadn't taught Ken to speak like this.

"So you're here to shove your neck in my face until I bite it?"

"Or my wrist, if you feel better about that." But basically, yes. Reap what you have sowed, Aya.

"Why did I teach you to talk again?" It was mostly said out of irritation though since he wasn't actually going to win this.

"Technically, you just reminded me. And I learned a lot of words from you. But I would've picked it up again eventually anyway." Or maybe just because you really do like him.

"So are you going to quit being stupid about this?" Seriously stop stealing his gig.

Rolling his eyes, Aya got to his feet as fast as his body would take him. Even weak like this, he still moved faster than any human eye could follow, his hands latching to Ken to pull his head back. Oh God did he smell good too...

"Don't call me stupid."

Good thing Ken wasn't human. "Then stop being stupid. Seriously, I've got that covered."

His instincts were screaming at him to fight, but he stamped the reaction down--but his pupils dilated, pulse quickened, adrenaline still rushed through him. He couldn't help that.

Aya's fangs were teasing his lip at this point, so eager to sink into warm flesh. Pressing himself close to Ken as he picked up on that urge to fight. It excited the predator in him, made him want him more.

"People don't fight for that role..." Leaning in, he buried his face against his pulse to breathe him in more. He smelled like a wolf. Wild, free, the call of nature there in his flesh...

Ken started to growl involuntarily, his other shape trying to surge out of him. He knew the instincts of a predator with prey--how Aya was feeling right now. He'd felt it too, more than once. He knew how exciting it was.

He'd done this for Aya before, but the anticipation, the moments before, were always the worst.

"Just let me have what I'm good at, then."

"Shut up," Aya snarled at him right before his lips parted and he sank his fangs into Ken's neck. Groaning, he held him close in an iron grasp, eyes fluttering shut. The scent of blood filled the air and he greedily took that first swallow. For just a moment his mind forgot all about how much he hated this and he sank into the sensation of how good it was. The blood was hot to the taste with a touch of wild to it. This wasn't human blood which made the flavor intoxicating with the strength he could taste from it.

Another groan and he took another swallow, his hand releasing Ken's hair to cradle his head instead.

Well that was sudden--usually there was a lot more self-doubt and bickering involved in this mess. Ken yelped at the initial pain, entire body tensing in preparation to struggle because it hurt, his first and only thought was to get away from the source of the pain and it wasn't much of a thought at that.

But then instead of struggling, Ken relaxed as the pain edged away, replaced by a warm, loose-limbed pleasure.

Stepping off of the staircase, Reno had spotted his new roommate and started heading over, hands in pockets and an easy going manner.

"Hey stranger, wh-" Reno broke off, his eyes widened a bit when he realized what they were doing. "Shiva's tits- the hell are ya doing?"

Aya had picked up on the scent of another person but couldn't manage to pull away from Ken's neck just yet. He already had him so relaxed in his arms now that he didn't want to waste the blood he was pulling from him. However, when the person came over, he glared at him over Ken's shoulder, somehow managed to give him a dangerous growl despite the fact that he was feeding.

Those eyes were an eery purple currently, glowing a bit as his full vampiric nature kicked in to tell this person that his prey was his.

Shion was next to Reno huddled in his scarf that Xion had made him, he saw his roommate and the other boy and rushed over away from Reno's side. "Stop that!"

This was really unsafe, what on earth was he doing? Guess who has never heard of vampires. He put his arm on the arm of the man biting his roommate. "Let go of him!"

Well this was awkward. Ken wasn't quite far enough under to be completely unaware of his surroundings, but he was out of it enough to not really care. Or to be able to place who else had arrived aside from an odd sense of familiarity.

As long as those people stayed away, Aya could ignore them and keep feeding. As long as they stayed away then they weren't worth him paying them much mind. Unfortunately, one moved over and actually touched him.

Fangs pulling from Ken's neck, he let him go and snarled, hand lashing out at the silver-haired boy. There was still blood on his mouth and his eyes were still glowing, a sure sign his mind currently wasn't in the room while he reached to grab for this new source of blood who had literally walked right up to him.

When Reno saw the strange... man... thing with glowing eyes he hurried forward and grabbed Shion, pulling him away from the situation.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YA DOING?!" He yelled, half at Shion and half at Aya.

Shion stumbled back as he was hit feeling himself being pulled towards the man with glowing eyes, but then he was being pulled backwards and Reno was screaming at him.

"I'm sorry! I was trying to stop him." He tried to find his feet again.

The second Aya let go of him, Ken dropped like a ton of bricks, smacking his head soundly against the floor.

On the bright side, this had the bonus effect of snapping him out of his trance with a curse and an animalistic snarl of his own--he was only dizzy for a brief moment.

On the not-so-bright side, now he was fully aware of the situation of a pissed off, full-on vampire mode Aya and his two roommates facing off. He really didn't like the idea of his teammate getting his undead ass killed again over a really bad misunderstanding, or sitting around as Aya felt bad about everything for the next two months. He surged to his feet, grateful for the fact that he could take quite a beating before he'd have to stay down, and threw himself between Aya and Shion.

"AYA! Calm the fuck down!"

This bastard was just getting in his way. Snarling violently, he reached for him instead, wanting at that blood hiding under his skin. It was just there waiting for him, begging him to take it and drag it from that warm, warm body into his. Aya was so cold currently but that would give him warmth for a time...

The scent of the wolf moving caught his attention and Ken's voice shook his senses. He stopped right before he actually jumped and stared at the brunette in front of him. What was he doing there? Hadn't he been biting him?

All at once, the situation hit him and the glowing vanished in an instant as Aya stumbled back until he landed on his chair. Eyes wide, he covered his mouth in horror as he stared at the two he'd just been about to rip apart to get blood. Oh God, he might have killed them because of the state he'd been in.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Reno's drawl disappeared almost instantly, and his voice was almost deadly calm, even as his rage rose. He had Shion behind him now, his own body between him and Aya.

His eyes flicked over to Ken. "You all right?"

Shion felt bad that Reno had once again had to save him and stayed behind him trying to remember how not to freak out. But he peaked around once Aya stopped attacking and saw him stumble back. "I don't think he knew what he was doing..." He said quietly to Reno his eyes flickering over to Ken concerned for his roommate.

Didn't know what he was doing? Well yeah, when he attacked Shion, definitely. That's what you got when interrupting a feeding vampire.

"Perfectly fine, thanks." The blood was drying on his neck, no more was coming out. Ugh, he hated that tacky feeling. And the smell had to be driving Aya up the wall. He knew they were just concerned, which was touching, but yeah--it wasn't like Aya'd attacked him.

"I realize that looked really bad to walk in on, but I wasn't in any danger."

The scent of Ken's blood wasn't helping this and he kept his hand over his mouth as a reminder that he needed to steady himself. He wasn't that monster, the thing that tore apart the innocent just to feed on them. He'd sworn that he would never be that way. Closing his eyes a moment, he swallowed the blood still in his mouth, running his tongue over his teeth. Aya shivered a little while he took deep breaths. Honestly, he didn't even need the air but breathing was a habit he couldn't break. It made him feel more human.

Opening his eyes again, he lowered his hand and looked down at it. He'd almost ripped them apart with this very hand.

"I'm sorry," he said quietly, his voice almost inaudible. "I'm so sorry..."

Eyes narrowed at Aya, still unsure if he presented a danger. Ken seemed to be all right, Aya wasn't attacking Shion anymore, but he had his hand on the handle of his EMR, just in case. "What," he said, in his most professional voice, "just happened?"
