☆ 002 : WARM-UP ☆ "All of us contain Music & Truth, but most of us can't get it out."
Characters: Rise Kujikawa and YOU!
Setting: Floor Twenty-Eight, the Music Room, or prettymuch anywhere else you want.
Format: Prose and Action both A-OK; you pick and I'll follow your lead!
Summary: Rise does her best to get in a little vocal practise for the (possible) upcoming Gas Chamber, Tower Edition show. Make a song request, pick up an instrument and join in, just listen...that part's all up to you. :]
Warnings: Event-related things, perhaps...or maybe she just has the regular flu. :3 Otherwise nothing.
Rise stood behind the electronic keyboard, shoulders relaxed, arms by her sides. Breathing in slowly, she hummed a low note (try to find the note where you feel maximum vibration in your lower abdomen) as she exhaled, one hand pressed to her midriff. After repeating that a few times, she shivered and huffed out a sigh instead, breaking the rhythm. But well, at least it was easy to make sure she was doing her breathing exercises right, since thanks to the cold, she could see every breath that left her mouth.
The cold did make it pretty hard to play the piano well, though--not that she was AMAZING at it even under normal conditions, but she was far from terrible, on the upper side of average at the very least. A singer who couldn't read music at all or play an instrument at least a little would be an embarrassment to her agency, and Rise was a quick study anyways.
After rubbing some circulation back into her fingers, she got to work on playing--and singing--some scales.
(It's nothing too interesting at first, but if you wait for a while, she might start practising an actual song or two...or maybe not. She might just start coughing instead...)

For a while, he simply watched, and only decided to speak up once she had taken a pause to rub her hands.
"You're astonishingly dedicated to keep at it in these kinds of conditions."

Reeling her jaw in, Rise gave him a bright smile as she went back to her (largely vain) attempt to warm her trembling hands. "Well, if I'm gonna join your band for real, I've gotta be at the top of my game! I wanna to be good enough to pass any kind of audition you guys throw my way, just in case!"

When Rise's own smile returned, he eased up a bit, though he still felt a bit awkward. But that was basically every day of the week, and the freezing cold wasn't helping him feel better. "I wouldn't worry that much if I were you. If Michel invited you, you must be good, so I doubt there'll be any audition. I didn't even have to audition, Michel just sort of decided it for me."

She hesitated, because it was a little embarrassing to own up to your fangirling, even (or maybe especially) if you were more or less in the same business, but the way Jun's smile had vanished made her feel like she kinda had to.
"...Um...sorry for staring like that," she said, her smile rather sheepish now. "It's just, at the time I'm from back home, you guys are way famous, and I'm actually a pretty big fan."
And then, the beaming smile and excitement were back. "Getting the chance to perform as a member of Gas Chamber is unbelievable! You guys are all so cool!"

"I'm flattered really, I just...heh, I don't think I'll ever really get used to being 'famous' or anything. We've met a few people that apparently listen to us in the future, and it's all kind of bewildering to think about it. To think that we actually make it, and all. I never would have guessed it myself."

She paused a second then, what Jun had said before fully catching up with her. "...But you know, about me joining your band here... Unless Yu-senpai played some tracks off one of my CDs for him, I don't think Michel-sama has ever heard me sing."
