Silent dormitory rooms are lined with bodies--not dead, just sleeping. Throughout the tower it is pitch black and silent. At the base of the tower, countless shining eyes, watching.

23:45:00
The tower hums to life. Lights blink on in one by one; only the dormitory rooms remain dark. A small army of blank-faced humanoids appear and spend the next ten minutes taking various positions around the tower.

23:59:00
An order given. The dormitory room lights blink on.

00:00:00
You are awake.

00:00:30
You can move.

Those thirty seconds had been very odd. Sleep paralysis, maybe? No matter. He sits up once it ends and immediately goes fumbling around for the nightstand and his glasses.

"Cécile? Don't tell me you've rearranged the room again," he whines aloud when his first attempt comes up with no nightstand at all. It must be on the other side. For now, the rest of the room goes ignored.

Though is this even a bed he's familiar with? When did he fall asleep? Why wouldn't they have just left him in the lab?

America fumbled for his glasses as soon as he was able to move, scattering the papers on his nightstand onto the floor. He didn't recognize the others in the room, so he cast a suspicious glance at all of them (though at least the kid didn't look that dangerous) while he reached for the papers.

"What the hell's going on?"

last to wake up in the room. . .

Not being able to move hadn't completely alarmed Romano. He was used to just sitting in bed, staring at the ceiling for a while upon waking up. So he stared... until it hit him that that was not his ceiling and this was probably NOT his room.

When he could move, he sat up quickly, turning to see that he was not alone in the room. There were two unfamiliar people; a boy, another man; and then there was America who seemed to have just woken up as well.

"America! Where the hell are we?" Because somehow this is America's fault...

Romeo watched the adults warily, he didn't know who Cecile was and from what he could remember from doctor Casella's lessons America was a big country a long long way away. So that didn't make sense. He took a deap breath, he had to keep his spirits up! He had to be brave until he worked out where he was and how to get back home to his family. Silently he punched the air once and then jumped out of bed frowning when he saw what he was wearing, this was not his clothes!

Lloyd found the nightstand's new location eventually. Glasses get! By then, he was well aware of the other people in the room. They were being loud, at least the two young men were. The little boy was noted, too, but that one was awfully quiet.

"Hmm?" Strange people, strange room. Oh. Oh dear. "This seems rather strange for a kidnapping..."

"I didn't do anything," America said to the other nation (Spain? No, the guy who hung out with Spain, who was that... Whatever), reading the note he'd picked up off the floor. There was a brief flash of uncertainty across his face, half-instinctive fear, but it was quickly replaced with anger.

"Hey, what--There's no way this is what happened!" He waved the offending note around in a dramatic, unhappy manner.

[identity profile] rompicoglioni.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
"Huh? What are you talking about? What did that note say?"

He hasn't even noticed his own note yet, still intent on finding the responsible party for this situation and make sure they know they're bastards. And he'll demand to be taken back home, of course. He eyed the other bespectacled man (did he have blue hair?), and wondered if maybe he had more to do with this than the self-proclaimed 'hero'. "Hmph."

[identity profile] spiritsup.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
Romeo's eyes widened at the blue haired man's words, a kidnapping? Who would kidnap them, and anyways Romeo was the only one who was a kid the others were too old to be kidnapped! As the two loud men talked and shouted Romeo looked over to the nightstand and saw the piece of paper.

"Your world has been des...destroyed," he read slowly, concentrating on the letters and sounding out hard words, "I saved you. Let's all be happy here." He finished reading and his brain took in what he had just read, no... that couldn't be true. He looked over to the adults with wide eyes.

The blue-haired man wondered briefly why everyone was looking at, well, the blue-haired man. It wasn't as if he sounded like some two-bit British villain out of a movie or anyth-- oh. Not that that thought ever crossed Lloyd's mind. He picked the note up as everyone else had. He had missed it the first time, when fumbling around for his glasses.

His smile faltered for a second, but only just.

"Destroyed? Isn't that a little overdramatic?"

"You guys got one, too?" America looked at the other two in the room, frowning at the look on the kid's face--what kind of guys kidnapped a kid and told them that, anyway? "Well there's no way it's true!"

Because he would have been dead, if his people were.

Romano's eyes narrowed at the words that were read and repeated across the room. "Y0yeah, that can't be possible, damnit, and--" He reached up to scratch an itch that he'd been feeling on his neck only to be blocked by some kind of obstruction. With a frustrated expression, he tugged at the thing, huffing when it wouldn't budge. "What the hell is this thing on my neck?"

And then he finally noticed the collars around the necks of the others in the room. "You all have them too!" Different colors, strange design, and even with Romano's strength as a nation, could not be removed.

Romeo felt a little better that the adults in the room did not believe the note. He reached out to pick up the other note but it had so many words on it and he sighed. Before he had time to attempt to read one of the men starting complaining again, Romeo brought his hands to his neck and felt the collar there.

He pulled at it but it wouldn't come off. He took a shaking breath and tried to think of what Alfedo would do in this situation. He looked around the room, "Do you think there are others here?" He wondered allowed, because surely if you were going to save people from the end of the world you would save more than four.

"If the world had been destroyed, I can't imagine where this would be. Hm? Thing?"

Lloyd set the note back down and touched the collar around his own neck. He wouldn't try to pry it off, not yet. Certainly not with his bare hands. He moved on to examining the catsuit he'd been put in. "So we wake up with a new set of clothes and collars. Maybe it's a game."

He finally slid off of the bed. His first destination was to cross the room to what must be a door. The scientist doesn't open it immediately, instead putting an ear to it.

Let's see...

"Well maybe you guys aren't pulling hard enough." After all, who had more strength than him? He tested it lightly first, and when it didn't give way, tugged hard enough it looked like he might leave an indent on his neck for weeks. Finally his hand slipped free and he took the corner of his bed off, sending it flying across the room and bouncing sharply off a wall.

"F--man, that hurt!"

Kid in the room, he wasn't about to curse.

At the brilliant display of American strength and intelligence, Romano cradled his forehead in his hand and sighed. "Idiota."

When it was apparent that the letters and collars weren't going to be explained anytime soon, Romano stood from the bed, frowning at how the white catsuit hugged his body in all the wrong places. He grabbed the papers on his own nightstand, seeing the letter about the others had seen before and another two beside it. The former was useless to him, so he read the others instead.

One read about the basics of the tower. It mentioned things about where they were to sleep, where to find food, and something about a 'network'. He scoffed at it, as if he'd obey all these weird rules after being kidnapped and lied to. The other letter merely mentioned something about a job he was expected to perform. And like hell he was going to do what they told him to.

"I think this is all a load of bull." The papers were left on his bed, slightly crumbled, as he moved towards the door where the other man was. "I'm going to look around, maybe find the stronzo responsible for this." Hopefully the man would get the clue that he wanted past that door.

Romeo shrunk into himself a little more as one of the men managed to break the bed by trying to pull the collar off. His hands snaked to his neck and he started running his hands round the collar wondering if there was a catch or buckle that stopped them just pulling it off.

He bit his lip when the other man called the first man an idiot, he hoped they were not going to fight. This was scary enough without adults fighting. He took the other paper and sat on his bed reading slowly. He looked up at the door as the man went to leave, he wanted to see where they were as well but he wanted to finish reading first, so that he understood more.
