Silent dormitory rooms are lined with bodies--not dead, just sleeping. Throughout the tower it is pitch black and silent. At the base of the tower, countless shining eyes, watching.

23:45:00
The tower hums to life. Lights blink on in one by one; only the dormitory rooms remain dark. A small army of blank-faced humanoids appear and spend the next ten minutes taking various positions around the tower.

23:59:00
An order given. The dormitory room lights blink on.

00:00:00
You are awake.

00:00:30
You can move.

[Lithuania bolts out of bed as soon as his body starts responding, looking around in a panic, still not entirely sure if he's awake or dreaming.]

What... Poland?

Those thirty seconds might be the longest thirty seconds of Fletcher's life. Once he's finally able to move, he sits up with a gasp and looks around the strange room.

Not his bedroom, and not anywhere else he's seen before. The other people in the room are unfamiliar, too. He swallows nervously, but doesn't speak up. What if they're upset that he's intruded?

Canada had went through the stages of panic and denial in record time. The paralysis, the room, the note she found once she shoved on her glasses. The dread set in and she pushed the blankets back, stumbling out of bed.

"None of this makes any sense..." She had a moment to spy Norway before she pushed open the door slowly and peered outside with all the caution war had bestowed her with.

Where was she? Had she fainted? This wasn't any Pokemon Center she recognized.. In fact, this wasn't any place she recognized period.

After thirty seconds, she sits up with a jolt, panting with cold sweat trickling down her neck.

"H.. Hello?"

ROOM 1-02

For thirty seconds Romeo is terrified, unable to move, he doesn't think because he is too scared, it is like a nightmare but he is sure that he is awake. Awake and trapped and unable to move.

Then all of a sudden it is over; Romeo sat up with a bolt and looked around. He is not in his room; his brothers aren't here. He is not alone though he looked over and saw adults. He shrank into the bed he was in a little, wondering where he was and what had happened.

[identity profile] askemadam.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
Norway, however, took a bit longer to get up and read the note. Once she had, she sat there for a moment to it over. Outwardly, nothing showed, except for maybe a too-deep breath and her eyes closing for longer than a moment. But she soon noticed Canada peeking out of the room.

With an odd amount of ease, she walked over behind Canada. "You."

Those thirty seconds had been very odd. Sleep paralysis, maybe? No matter. He sits up once it ends and immediately goes fumbling around for the nightstand and his glasses.

"Cécile? Don't tell me you've rearranged the room again," he whines aloud when his first attempt comes up with no nightstand at all. It must be on the other side. For now, the rest of the room goes ignored.

Though is this even a bed he's familiar with? When did he fall asleep? Why wouldn't they have just left him in the lab?

[identity profile] pineandmaple.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
Canada didn't see anyone else out there yet, but no guards or someone keeping them here. Of course there were other methods--

Oh that startled noise was horribly undignified. Still her heart stopped beating a thousand miles a minutes when she saw it was in fact someone she knew. At least in passing. Her face composed into a worried smile.

"Norway, right?"

ROOM 1-05

[identity profile] nightmaresound.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, how frightening.

For an amount of time Oichi does not recognize, she's stuck. Her muscles are frozen, and she cannot see. She is awake, but not mobile, and the world seems ever so strange; she did not fall asleep here, she is not wearing what she ought to be. Did someone move her? Take her somewhere else? There is a panic in her, something sharp and painful.

It passes though, as all things do, and Oichi sits up slowly. The first thing she notices besides the others there across from her is the strange cloth clinging to her body. She tugs at that and looks around more, folding her legs beside her. All of this room is alien to her. So completely foreign; the mere construction of the walls is something she is not used to.

The scariness of it passes after a moment of her looking around, whipping her head back and forth, and soon it becomes okay. It's odd, but it's okay.

"... oh, my..." She murmurs, sliding off of the bed. Oichi is eerily calm and unaware of the note.

[identity profile] askemadam.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
Norway paused for a moment, not completely recognizing Canada just yet. In her time, at least, Canada is still just a part of England's empire. Luckily, this soon comes back to her due to the pigtails.

"... Canada," she takes a moment to glance around, "guess ya don't have any idea either."
marvelously: (But I think they're maybe racist)

It's a good thing someone in that room is calm.

Because from the moment she wakes up, Mary's heart is beating out of control, only she can't move. Oh God, why was this happening to her? Was she in Hell again? Did Shazam do something? Without moving, she couldn't even yell the magic words!

And then suddenly, she can move again. The instant her body allows her, Mary sits upright immediately, and whips her hair head back and forth to take in the unfamiliar sight.

Then she shrieks and falls over the edge of her bed, and onto the floor in a heap of blankets and sheets.

[identity profile] nightmaresound.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
Oichi is still looking around as she wanders a bit away from her bed, curiously tilting her head this way and that way as she steps close to Mary. She sits on the ground and picks the blanket away from her face, and asks: "What is this place...? Ichi doesn't know..."

[identity profile] pineandmaple.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
Canada shook her head, patiently waiting through the moments it took anyone to recognize her. She let herself be inwardly pleased that Norway required no prompting before she looked back at the slit in the door.

"None at all. What was that note even supposed to mean?"

America fumbled for his glasses as soon as he was able to move, scattering the papers on his nightstand onto the floor. He didn't recognize the others in the room, so he cast a suspicious glance at all of them (though at least the kid didn't look that dangerous) while he reached for the papers.

"What the hell's going on?"

/claims floor for Canada--Imean

Canada pressed her hands to the glass, biting her lip as she strained to make out landmarks through the smog...Or is it clouds. How high up are they in this place? It seems like a tower or a skyscraper. Trapped in a tower, huh? Like the fairytale.

"Let down your hair?" She laughed a bit bitterly before she moved away from the glass. Seeing the world around was useless when it was all featureless.

At least this girl didn't look too scary. And if she didn't know where she was either- Mary lets out a quick breath of relief, and starts pulling the blankets off of the rest of her body and shoving them back on the bed.

"G-Golly, I don't know either! I think... we've been kidnapped!"

Thirty seconds in, and Shoutarou can finally move. This results in a flailing, angry crash off the bed and into the the floor. He notices that this is not his detective agency.

"What--OW--Where the hell am I?!"

He's kind of missed the fact that there are others in the room.

[identity profile] nightmaresound.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
She hums, thinking that over. "Ohh, how terrible... how scary..."

Oichi keeps herself seated on the ground, and sways a bit. As she speaks she's helped to her feet by what appears to be a smoky arm; the hand of it takes hers delicately and pulls her up. She isn't wary of Mary right now, even if she's a foreigner.

"The person responsible... ought to be put to death... yes, such a thing will happen... Ichi will make sure of it..."

America had stopped to check his chest before he started moving around, and so he's in proper clothing--including his bomber jacket, which made him feel a bit more confident even while he explored what he was sure would be a great set for a sci-fi horror flick. Spotting a woman--and then noting she felt like a nation--made him both more and less confident at once.

"Hey, is this your place?"

last to wake up in the room. . .

Not being able to move hadn't completely alarmed Romano. He was used to just sitting in bed, staring at the ceiling for a while upon waking up. So he stared... until it hit him that that was not his ceiling and this was probably NOT his room.

When he could move, he sat up quickly, turning to see that he was not alone in the room. There were two unfamiliar people; a boy, another man; and then there was America who seemed to have just woken up as well.

"America! Where the hell are we?" Because somehow this is America's fault...
