Silent dormitory rooms are lined with bodies--not dead, just sleeping. Throughout the tower it is pitch black and silent. At the base of the tower, countless shining eyes, watching.

23:45:00
The tower hums to life. Lights blink on in one by one; only the dormitory rooms remain dark. A small army of blank-faced humanoids appear and spend the next ten minutes taking various positions around the tower.

23:59:00
An order given. The dormitory room lights blink on.

00:00:00
You are awake.

00:00:30
You can move.

Canada didn't see anyone else out there yet, but no guards or someone keeping them here. Of course there were other methods--

Oh that startled noise was horribly undignified. Still her heart stopped beating a thousand miles a minutes when she saw it was in fact someone she knew. At least in passing. Her face composed into a worried smile.

"Norway, right?"

[identity profile] askemadam.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
Norway paused for a moment, not completely recognizing Canada just yet. In her time, at least, Canada is still just a part of England's empire. Luckily, this soon comes back to her due to the pigtails.

"... Canada," she takes a moment to glance around, "guess ya don't have any idea either."

[identity profile] pineandmaple.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
Canada shook her head, patiently waiting through the moments it took anyone to recognize her. She let herself be inwardly pleased that Norway required no prompting before she looked back at the slit in the door.

"None at all. What was that note even supposed to mean?"

[identity profile] askemadam.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
Norway runs a hand through her own hair, momentarily looking down to be confused over the clothes she was wearing.

"Dunno. If our world's gone, we should be too." Which is the only thing keeping her from being actually a little worried about her sisters.

"Think the others are here?"

[identity profile] pineandmaple.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
Canada puzzled over it for a minute. She was dimly aware of her changed wardrobe and that creeped her out a little, but she had more important problems.

"We shouldn't be here ourselves, however, there's probably a good chance others are here if we are. I'd hope so. I don't want to be saved all alone."

[identity profile] askemadam.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
"If there was anythin' to be saved from."

Though she really doesn't understand any of this, she'd rather not believe her people were all dead.

"Seems like we should search, then."

[identity profile] pineandmaple.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
"I wish they'd left us a weapon. Though I suppose that defeats the purpose of saving us."

She could only try to be positive. Thoughts passed through her mind though and she bit her lip to keep the words from slipping out. Her silent nod toward the door was all she'd let herself do.

[identity profile] askemadam.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
Norway stared at her for a second more, maybe wondering what she wanted to say, before walking out the door with no hesitation. She didn't wait for Canada, though expected her to follow.

[identity profile] pineandmaple.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
Canada glanced back at the two others before pressing the door open. Norway seemed to have no fear and Canada took strength from that, looking around the hall.

[identity profile] askemadam.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
Norway walked for a bit, not making any particular acknowledgement of Canada until, "Looks like they're all rooms. Must have a lot of us, if they're filled."

[identity profile] pineandmaple.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
"Do you think they are all filled?" There was no reason to believe they weren't to be honest. Their room had been full.

[identity profile] askemadam.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
She shrugged. "Possible. But ya think there'd be more people comin' out if that was the case."

[identity profile] pineandmaple.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
"Perhaps we did not all awake at once? It seems like asking for chaos if we all woke up at once."

[identity profile] askemadam.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
She seemed to frown a little at that.

"Ya mean how we couldn't move?" She assumed, at least, that Canada experienced the same. There was no reason for her to be the only one.

[identity profile] pineandmaple.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah like that. Or just people naturally waking up later?...They can't just wake us all up at once right?"

[identity profile] askemadam.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 07:02 am (UTC)(link)
She shrugged at that, agreeing.

Crossing her arms, "S'pose there's no easy way to get out."

[identity profile] princesspowaful.livejournal.com 2011-06-03 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Molly had woken up and didn't notice that for 30 seconds she couldn't move. Instead she had tried to stay as still as possible in hopes of going back to sleep. When she heard the two others get up, she just listened. It was a bit out of character for her and she knew it, but she didn't know where she was and she didn't recognize their voices.

As they moved into the hallway, Molly moved to the door to listen. At this point, she couldn't hold herself back from jumping into the conversation, "I'm strong, I can break out," she said proudly to the two older girls.

She may be tiny (and young) but she wasn't lying.

[identity profile] pineandmaple.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
Canada turned when the young voice interrupted her thoughts. The girl was small, but looks were sometimes deceiving. Either way, the girl probably could not succeed where two nations could not.

"We don't know if there is a way out quite yet."

[identity profile] askemadam.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 07:47 am (UTC)(link)
Norway also turned, vaguely recalling a young girl in their room.

"The hall could go on forever." Norway wasn't particularly serious at this point, really.

[identity profile] princesspowaful.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 02:27 pm (UTC)(link)
"If you break enough walls you'll find an exit eventually!" She said a bit proudly, thinking that if anyone could get out of here it would be her.

[identity profile] pineandmaple.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Canada smiled at that. Logic of a child of course but still.

"True but we don't know what's out there or what lies between these walls and freedom. It's safer to explore for now."
