Silent dormitory rooms are lined with bodies--not dead, just sleeping. Throughout the tower it is pitch black and silent. At the base of the tower, countless shining eyes, watching.

23:45:00
The tower hums to life. Lights blink on in one by one; only the dormitory rooms remain dark. A small army of blank-faced humanoids appear and spend the next ten minutes taking various positions around the tower.

23:59:00
An order given. The dormitory room lights blink on.

00:00:00
You are awake.

00:00:30
You can move.

"I see."

Well, the chances of this woman having any information that may prove useful were very low. She didn't seem all that talkative anyway. Resisting the urge to sigh in frustration again, he answers her.

"No. I only woke up here a short while ago."

[identity profile] modersvea.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 06:58 am (UTC)(link)
She nods and then turns to look at him. Asking cannot hurt. "Have you seen a man w'th blond hair and violet eyes, 'bout th's" she indicates Finland's height with one hand by bringing it up to about the level of her chin "s'ze?"

[identity profile] cantgetlaidin.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 12:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Blond hair, violet eyes, reasonably short. It sounded as though she was describing one of his own allies. But why would this woman be looking for Finland? Had they somehow met in the tower and gotten separated?

"I'm afraid I haven't," He replied carefully. He considered for a moment, then decided he could afford to be blunt given the current situation. "Er, you wouldn't happen to mean F-- Tino, would you?"

[identity profile] modersvea.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 01:03 pm (UTC)(link)
She blinks, surprised, and then nods. "Y's." How does this man know her wife? "You know h'm?"

[identity profile] cantgetlaidin.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 01:28 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yes. We work together." He said vaguely, frowning again at the woman. Although he wasn't legally a part of the Axis, Finland had aligned himself with him against Russia. Working together seemed to cover it.

"How do you know him?"

[identity profile] modersvea.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 01:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, that man did call him "Finland", or wanted to call him that. How could he know her territory, even work together with him, yet not know about her? He did not exactly... seem Finnish, even though that was a slightly weird thing to say.

"W' are married." She watched him carefully, intense azure eyes boring into him.

[identity profile] cantgetlaidin.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 02:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Germany raised a skeptical eyebrow. Finland had never mentioned a woman before, let alone a wife. Of course, he had heard of Sweden claiming he and Finland were--.

"Married." He repeated, taking a closer look at her. Come to think of it, this woman looked sort of like Sweden. The same intense eyes, hair colour, speech pattern-- not that he and the neutral nation had talked much.

"Tell me your name, Frau."

[identity profile] modersvea.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 02:39 pm (UTC)(link)
She pushes away from the glass at that, tension building up slowly as she considers his choice of words. While she is used to men that do not know her and do not consider her to be a of a higher standing than them being rude, she does not appreciate it, and will never accept it.

"I will not tolerate that tone."

[identity profile] cantgetlaidin.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 02:46 pm (UTC)(link)
After years of commanding and barking at soldiers, he didn't even realize the harsh tone of his voice. Still, he didn't appreciate being scolded like a child, especially right now.

"I apologize, but given my current situation my patience is wearing very thin." He replies coolly, crossing his arms and looking down at her.

[identity profile] modersvea.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 05:01 pm (UTC)(link)
But he is a child, at least compared to her... Not that she would say anything even if she knew his thoughts. What she knows is what he said, and really, his "apology" if you can even call it that did not make anything any better. Well, she can be just as curt, if this man does not think highly of being polite. It's easier anyway.

"My name's Sweden. Yours?"

[identity profile] cantgetlaidin.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Surprises flickers across his face. No, this had to be some odd coincidence. Sweden is very much a man. Though, if he was female, there's no doubt he'd look exactly like the woman standing before him.

"--Germany." He says, staring at her in disbelief.

[identity profile] modersvea.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
That's a curious name. Very strange. ...If a nation by the name "Germany" is here, does that mean- "'s Austria h're?"

[identity profile] cantgetlaidin.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
"I haven't seen him, no."

He clears his throat awkwardly, not quite sure how to phrase himself, "The Sweden I know is a man. How is it that... er..."

[identity profile] modersvea.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 06:55 pm (UTC)(link)
She has no idea, either. But she knows that Germany is not the only person who thinks that she should be male - and this explains why he knew her wife, but not her.

Now how to explain it. Explain something that she does not understand and has only witnessed before. "D'nmark said th' same."

[identity profile] cantgetlaidin.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
So Denmark was here too? How many more of his kind were trapped here?

"How is this even possible?" He frowns, "Are any of the others female? From... where you came from, I mean."

[identity profile] modersvea.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
"'bout half of us." Does that mean that everyone in this ....nation's ....place... is male? "Denmark, Russ'a, 'stonia, Latvia..." She has no clue what Poland is, seriously not, but she isn't the only one from what others have told her.

[identity profile] cantgetlaidin.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
"They are all male as far as I know. There aren't many women." He begins to list them off, counting on his fingers, "Hungary, Ukraine, Belarus, Monaco... Belgium."

He pauses awkwardly. The mention of Belgium brings up one of many recent bad memories. "As I said, there aren't many women."
