WHAT: Kanaya wakes up, she is not at all fond of her circumstances. And so the Tower receives a glowing alien girl conspicuously and shiveringly sneaking through the hallway.
HOW: Action

[ thirty seconds of sleep paralysis is a hell of an introduction to a new setting. by the time it's worn off, kanaya has found plenty of time to begin panicking. it doesn't look like any memory she's ever had, so the most reasonable explanation is that it must be someone else's. it's a dream bubble, right? it has to be. that doesn't explain the collar. something is wrong here. who put her in this ugly jumpsuit? who would even make such an ugly outfit?

once she's on her feet, she spares a moment to wonder if she should make the bed before deciding that there are bigger problems at hand, and ends up missing her introduction letters in the process. she elects to sneak out into the hallway instead, only to find it's cold. unreasonably cold, especially in this miserable outfit. her best hope is to keep moving, see if the bubble doesn't change if she does, stopping at each corner to peek around it. you never know what you might encounter in these things. ]

[Just to add to the feeling of surrealness have a tiny barefooted human waving at you as he passes.] Hello Kanaya!

[Not even noticing the different clothes, mostly because his head hurts, he sounds funny because his nose is all blocked and he keeps sneezing.] Ken [A pause to rub his nose] Ken is calling a meeting soon, if you've got spare warm things you can share can you bring them? [And another sneeze...]

[ there is a small human child who apparently knows her. okay, that happens in dream bubbles, there are a lot of hers floating about, much as she'd really rather not have to think about that. he's making weird noises and she's wondering if she should be concerned, she hasn't encountered that before. this ken fellow will be another mystery.

warm things would be nice to have, he is right about that. ]

Another meeting tomorrow or the next day! [His repetition was followed by another batch of sneezing. He tilts his head at her] Are you okay Kanaya? Are you ill too?

[glowsferatu]

[ her brows knit together and she clasps her hands in front of her apologetically, cringing slightly. ] I don't...know what any of that means.

What are those sounds you keep making?

[myblueskies]

[Oh... Romeo finally realises...] You're another Kanaya! Sorry I got muddled! [He sneezes again and rubs his nose.] They're sneezes, do trolls not get sneezes?

[glowsferatu]

Yeah, I probably am. Uh...sorry.

[ she starts rubbing her arms. ] I don't recall ever having a sneeze, no. I've also never been anywhere quite this cold, either.

It's not always this cold. The bad people made it cold. [He shrugged] They do bad things. [He didn't mind at all that this was a different Kanaya, he was positive she would be as nice as the one he knew.]

[ well, she could at least try. but the results may be somewhat mixed. ]

Which bad people would these be?

The ones that brought us here.

Is that the only descriptor we have for them, or is there more we may know of?

They got names, Ruana is the boss and then Jason is really bad and likes science, Riku is bad too and Dax is nicer but still a bad person. I don't think Zo is bad, but he gots to do what the others say.

...Okay. [ most of that means nothing to her now, but maybe when it becomes relevant later she'll remember that he told her all of this. ]

And which one is Ken?

Ken isn't a bad person! [His tone is very defensive.] He's my friend and he is the leader of a group for kids here! So we can look after each other.

[glowsferatu]

[ a leader, hmm? well, if there are enough kids here to comprise a group, then it may be wise to consult with their leader. if everything this child says about this setting is true, this ken might need some assistance. ]

In that case, I think I'll need to meet him.

[Romeo grinned] You can come to the meeting! The other you will be there as well! And everyone is really nice!

[glowsferatu]

O-other me? [ well that's an intimidating thought. ]

Yes! I hope she is still here! But sometimes there is two people who are the same here. She's really nice! I am sure you will be friends!

[glowsferatu]

[ really nice. she's probably better at dealing with people than kanaya is. this is an unmitigated disaster, there is no way she can compete with herself. ]

Well, I...wouldn't want her to feel obligated if she's not inclined. I'm sure she's doing just fine without having to worry about me running around.

No! I'm sure she would love to meet you! There's lots of people with other thems in the tower so she wont be scared or anything!

[glowsferatu]

Oh, so she wouldn't... [ well that makes one of them, and only goes even further to indicate to kanaya that she's the better of the two. ]

It will be okay Kanaya! You don't got to be worried.

[glowsferatu]

Right, of course I don't. [ she doesn't really believe him, but there's no point arguing it. ]

I don't believe I'd caught your own name yet.

Oh! I'm Romeo! It's nice to meet you!

[glowsferatu]

Of course, you as well. [ she forces a smile for his sake, there's no point in being rude to him, even if she hates basically everything about this situation. ] Have you, uh...been here long?

[He nodded though he kept smiling, because he had to help her keep her spirits up if she was new.] A long long long time.
