Character: Labrys and you!
Setting: Dormitory floor three, near room 3-07
Format: Action, but I'll match.
Summary: Kirijo-made or not, Some mechanisms just plain don't work well in extended periods of cold weather.
Warnings: None yet.
[Running diagnostic.exe...
Plume of Dusk intact and functioning. Movement capabilities at 68%. Optical sensors at 72%.]
[Labrys looked down at her hand, flexing silver fingers--instead of the smooth whirring of well cared-for mechanisms, there was the quiet creaking of joints in protest. In fact, she noted all her motions took an abnormal amount of effort. By now it was even at the point where her axe had to be left in her trunk; fixing it to her back made her even slower.]
[Tactile sensors at 56%. Speech functions at 82%. Combat efficiency projected at 20% of maximum output. Overview: Hardware possibly compromised. Diagnosis: inconclusive.]
[Slumping back against the nearest wall, the android sank to the floor. Was this what exhaustion felt like? There needed to be an unnecessary amount of effort expended just to move; calculations put the specific amount somewhere in the realm of 32% more than usual, with an error margin of .5% either way. Maybe she should just try to make it back to her room. Power down into sleep mode for a while, maybe that would help it.]
[...She'd have to get up first. From the uncharacteristically weary look on her face, it was evident that wouldn't happen immediately.]

Excuse me.
[ He kneels down. ]
Are you in need of assistance?

[She spoke with a thick Brooklyn accent, though there was a mild stutter to it that mystified even Labrys. Just another on the long list of problems going on today.]
I'm just havin' some trouble moving, s'all.

[ Don't mind Captain obvious. meanwhile, he extends a hand to help her stand. ]
You are an artificial lifeform, or rather an android, is that correct?
no subject
[She stood with Data's help, wincing slightly at the creaking of metallic joints. Boy, that didn't sound good.]
Cold weather can do that? I ain't really seen any winters before.

[ The creaking worries him too, as worried as an emotionless android should be. Better find a way to fix that. ]
Do you have an internal thermostat?
no subject
I'm not turnin' up anything, so I don't think so.

[ A pauses as he considers what can can be done. ]
If this tower is indeed going through a winter, it would be wise trying to make one out of the materials found in this tower. In the meantime, priority should be to unfreeze your currently freezing components.

How d'you think we should do that? Start a fire, maybe?

[ He takes out his phaser. ]
Would I hit the wall on maximum stun settings, the ensuing heat would simulate that of a fire camp for an approximate duration of 30 minutes. This may not be as effective as a real fire camp, but that would spare you to go down there.
