⚙ 002;

Character: Labrys and you!
Setting: Dormitory floor three, near room 3-07
Format: Action, but I'll match.
Summary: Kirijo-made or not, Some mechanisms just plain don't work well in extended periods of cold weather.
Warnings: None yet.

[Running diagnostic.exe...

Plume of Dusk intact and functioning. Movement capabilities at 68%. Optical sensors at 72%.
]

[Labrys looked down at her hand, flexing silver fingers--instead of the smooth whirring of well cared-for mechanisms, there was the quiet creaking of joints in protest. In fact, she noted all her motions took an abnormal amount of effort. By now it was even at the point where her axe had to be left in her trunk; fixing it to her back made her even slower.]

[Tactile sensors at 56%. Speech functions at 82%. Combat efficiency projected at 20% of maximum output. Overview: Hardware possibly compromised. Diagnosis: inconclusive.]

[Slumping back against the nearest wall, the android sank to the floor. Was this what exhaustion felt like? There needed to be an unnecessary amount of effort expended just to move; calculations put the specific amount somewhere in the realm of 32% more than usual, with an error margin of .5% either way. Maybe she should just try to make it back to her room. Power down into sleep mode for a while, maybe that would help it.]

[...She'd have to get up first. From the uncharacteristically weary look on her face, it was evident that wouldn't happen immediately.]

i'm sorry.

[After four days of strict bedrest and cold medication at his Dusknoir's insistence, John had finally managed to get over his cold, but something still wasn't quite right. The music he'd started hearing shortly after falling sick had only gotten louder, so much so that it was getting hard to hear much of anything else. But hey, at least he felt better physically now, and that meant he could go for a walk.]

[Maybe that would clear his head. Yes. Going to see how many dorm floors there were above his own and Rose's would surely help. And so he wanders up to the third floor, his Dusknoir floating behind him in his vaguely-threatening, protective sort of way.]

[And that's when he spots her.]

[Don't mind this weird kid staring at you, Labrys. He doesn't mean any harm, he's just trying to figure out if you're actually a robot or not.]
ghostytrainer: (dave will you teach me to "make love"?)

oh good. hopefully it stays that way.

[Staaaaarreeee.......]

[Just...stare....]

[But eventually.]

ARE YOU REALLY A ROBOT? OR IS THAT JUST COSPLAY?

[This doesn't answer her question at all, but he couldn't really hear that. Nor can he hear his own voice, so he has no idea how loud he's shouting right now.]
ghostytrainer: (ahurpa durpa.)

WHAT?

[This conversation is going to go everywhere, fast. Breakneck speeds, really.]

YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO SPEAK UP I CAN'T HEAR YOU BECAUSE OF THE MUSIC.
ghostytrainer: (well you see i made myself in a lab.)

[Who really can say for sure here? He turns around to see what she's pointing to. Oh, of course. Duh. What else would she be asking about.]

OH HIM? THIS IS ELLIOT. HE'S MY DUSKNOIR, WHICH IS A TYPE OF POKEMON. I DUNNO IF THAT'S A THING IN YOUR UNIVERSE OR NOT, SEEMS LIKE IT ISN'T IN MOST PEOPLE'S. BUT BASICALLY THEY'RE TRAINABLE MONSTERS. I KNOW HE LOOKS KINDA SCARY, BUT DON'T WORRY HE WON'T HURT YOU. HE JUST WON'T GO BACK IN HIS BALL BECAUSE HE'S A PARANOID WORRYWART, ISN'T THAT RIGHT BIG GUY?

[Elliot say nothing to that, but seems to move in a way reminiscent of sighing. Master John, there's really no need to shout...]
ghostytrainer: (how do i shot wind?)

[personal profile] ghostytrainer 2012-12-15 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
[Elliot stares back at her, not so much as blinking.]

SO YEAH. ARE YOU FEELING ALRIGHT THOUGH? YOU DON'T LOOK SO GOOD. CAN ROBOTS GET SICK? LIKE IS THAT A THING THAT CAN HAPPEN? THERE SEEMS TO BE SOME KIND OF FLU GOING AROUND.
ghostytrainer: (ahurpa durpa.)

WHAT? YOU THINK PUMPKINS ARE WRONG FOR WARFARE? WELL YEAH, I GUESS YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT THAT. UNLESS THEY WERE ACTUALLY BOMBS OR SOMETHING? BUT IT'S GOOD THAT YOU'RE NOT SICK. IF I HEARD THAT PART RIGHT.

["ain't sick" is probably the only thing he heard correctly, yup. Good job, John.]
ghostytrainer: (whoops! my bad!)

ERR... [He scratches his cheek.] MAYBE WE SHOULD TRY THIS AGAIN WHEN THE MUSIC GOES AWAY. YES/NO?

[Thumbs up, thumbs down?]

SORRY. I PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE REALIZED THIS WOULD HAPPEN BUT IT'S NOT EVERY DAY YOU SEE A REAL ROBOT AND THAT'S KIND OF AWESOME.
