some sort of meeting

Setting: 38th floor lounge

Summary: Group meeting to see who’s sick and needs to be yelled at.
Warnings: Is yelling at both Shikis even a valid warning

[ It’s been cold lately and Sion has been doing her best not to really show that she’s feeling sick or anything related to the cold. But it’s just a little hard to do that when you’re wearing clothes more suited for a warmer climate. It wasn’t just about her right now though she was more worried about Satsuki along with those two idiots named Shiki or well one of them was still named Shiki.

So what better thing to do than calls a group meeting in one of the lounges to see how everyone was holding up, or needed to be yelled at for not taking care of their bodies. Plus there was the whole factor of there being two Shikis in the tower and not everyone might know that already or someone mistaking one for the other. ]

[ ..................... Oh. ]

Really? [ A remark not meant to be replied, but she had to express her disbelief somehow. ] This entire time...

[ This meant only one of them considered her to be their friend and that the other Shiki, the one who hadn't been feeling well, had been imposed on by her. ]

Different events? [ To take the pressure off of her own neglectful personality, Satsuki steered the conversation back around on the other Shiki (Because it seemed strange to call him by another name). ] What do you mean by that?

[ Quit giving her that look, you guys. ]

[atlasia]

[ It's ok Sacchin at least now both Shikis have noticed you. ]

For starters he's never met me up until he was brought to the tower. So the events of when I arrived in Japan most likely never happened.

[ Sion just motions at Satsujinki to explain the rest since it's his deal. ]

[He already told Satsuki that he had killed her so hopefully could recall that and put it in place in her memories.]

I left Japan not long after you were bitten, Yumizuka, and have been in Europe for a few years. I've spent my time there removing all the Dead Apostle Ancestors from existence. I'm not quite done yet but....they won't be a bother for much longer.

[He still has quite a few to go but with the way things were, the power balance was tipping back into the hands of humans, which meant they'd probably keep to themselves to build up their strength for a while. Shiki also left out anything involving the Church and the Mage's Association because, well, he felt Yumizuka didn't know.

To people more in the know about his eyes, like Sion, it was obvious why he was wearing bandages. But as far as he was aware, Yumizuka didn't even know about his eyes and he preferred to keep it that way.]

[yumizuka]

[ Yay at being noticed. A part of her should be content with that, but the thought of Shiki killing people in a foreign country bothered her in a way that it shouldn't. ]

Is there an explanation for this strange incident? [ Meaning the different events, of course, but she always had trouble with expressing her words. ] To think the admins of this tower are capable of this occurrence makes them look powerful.

[ A sigh. ] Sion, a moment of your time please?

[atlasia]

I don't mind explaining anything else if you're confused right now. [ Or at least that's what Sion thought Satsuki wanted to talk about. Since anyone would be confused right now about there being two of the same person in the room. ]

[concept_killer]

[Shiki himself stepped away, figuring Satsuki wanted a little privacy. Better to let them have it.]

[yumizuka]

[ Good boy.

Closing the distance between her friend and herself, Satsuki glanced nervously back at Satsujinki instead of facing Sion herself. ]

Sion, what are we going to do about having two of them here? [ The thought bothered her more than she cared to admit mostly due to her own embarrassment. ] You have an advantage with him not knowing about you, but what happens if something causes them to team up against us?

[atlasia]

If they do decide to take that course of action then we will just have to defend ourselves. I have all of my equipment stored in my room if needed I will use it.

[ Though she couldn't really bring herself to hurt them even if she tried. Curse you power of friendship. ]

That is the worst case outcome and I highly doubt we will ever encounter such a thing.

[yumizuka]

[ He just admitted to hunting down Dead Apostles. A life where Shiki suffered so much bothers her, but she can't readily admit that to her friend. Instead, her attention turned back to her. ]

There's a low percentage of them working against us, right? So we're going to team up with them and take on whatever this place throws at us. It'd be alright to tell them everything in that case, yeah?

[atlasia]

It's a low number but we should come up with a backup plan in case. [ Backup plans are always needed ok. ]

For now we should tell them at the very least what they need to know in order to make sure we can all survive here. Everything else should be on a need to know basis.

[yumizuka]

[ So there would be little point in getting close to either of them. Feeling satisfied with that answer, the relief slips back into the features of her face. Muscles relaxed and a hint of a smile show her comfort. ]

Can you explain why there's two of them in this place? If our world was destroyed, how could there be another one?

[atlasia]

From what I have gathered from other people there might be different worlds and things might not be really destroyed.

[ She's been taking it all with a grain of salt though, there wasn't any proof besides the fact there were two Shikis here along with other people claiming that they knew different people or various people arrived every so often in the tower. It wasn't enough to be 100% in any theory. ]

[yumizuka]

I feel stupid for not figuring it out sooner. [ She admitted under her breath to her friend. ] To think there are two different Tohno-kuns here...

I have to think of a way to apologize. That can come after our meeting, don't you think?

[ If Sion couldn't confirm the destroyed world bit, then Satsuki easily believed her. All of her faith in this tower found itself placed in her ability. ]

[atlasia]

I mistook him for Shiki when I ran in to him at first. [ It was a little embarrassing but she wanted to at least show that Satsuki wasn't the only one who mistook them. ] It's not something to feel stupid about.

As for an apology it can wait until we can settle things.

[yumizuka]

[ Forcing the other Shiki to rest in bed while thinking he thought of her as a friend. Terrible it had been to impose on him, but not the most humiliating thing she's ever done here. ]

Thank you. [ It had only been a brief conversation, but it helped steel her mind for anything else the Shiki duo might have to say. ] Sorry for interrupting your meeting with this. I just don't know how to handle more than one of the same person. That's an impossible thing for anyone, isn't it?

[atlasia]

It's fine, I should have seen something like this happening in the first place.

[ Now they could get to other important things at least. ]

[yumizuka]

[ She's too normal of a girl to be caught in this sort of shenanigans. Shuffling nervously back towards Satsujinki, this time Sacchin's gaze will remain down and interested in the floor beneath her. ]

Thank you for waiting, Toh-er-just thank you. [ Is it alright to still call him that? So many confusing things to consider now. ]

Satsujinki will be fine. It almost has Satsuki in it so we'll have that in common.

I wish I knew what you two were....keeping a secret.

[yumizuka]

[ Oh no, don't say embarrassing things of that nature. Blushing furiously, she's hesitant to comment further on that. Instead, she'd stand there staring at the ground. ]

Secrets are meant to be kept, aren't they?

[concept_killer]

[A shame Shiki can't see it or he'd comment on it.]

Sometimes they can get in the way at the most inopportune moment.

[yumizuka]

[ If he would just take them off every now and again... ]

They can? [ She's never thought of it like that before. ] I don't think this secret will get in the way. If it does, I'll tell you about it.

[ Quickly, she thought of a different topic to talk about. ] Um, how do you feel about there being another you? Is it weird..?

[concept_killer]

[If Satsuki says so. No sense in questioning it too much without sounding paranoid.]

I knew about these kind of things thanks to some people I've met.

[Finding Zelretch had been a pain (he was the only one who knew where Arc was) but when you get to know the guy, you come to learn about parallel dimensions and complete and utter bullshit like that.]

[yumizuka]

Really?

[ So it'd be up to her to suggest something completely absurd. ] We should come up with a secret greeting so we know we're talking to each other and not a lookalike!

[concept_killer]

[That sounds like a really awful idea, Satsuki. Shiki gives a blank faced stare in reply. Never mind the bandages, his face is blank, okay!!!]

[yumizuka]

[ ... ] What's with that look?

[ Why is no one else as concerned with doppelgangers floating around!! ]
