Wait for the end of the world or wind up accidentally triggering it...
Characters: Felix and anyone that isn't Felix
Setting: Room 3-12 > Dorm Floor 3 > Floor 1
Format: The post is brackets, but I will follow you!
Summary: Felix just took the final step in his quest to save his world from definite destruction even though it also may destroy the world. Then he woke up here. Oops...
Warnings: Nothing at the moment.
Room 3-12
[The strangeness of everything had vanished in one instant.
Felix had no idea why he was no longer on Mars Lighthouse. He remembered the light from the beacon firing and then...here he was in this strange room in these strange clothes with a strange collar.
Yes, that surprise was all gone due to the shock at the paper he was now staring at in horror in his hand. Even the fact that a second piece of paper was there had faded from his thoughts.]
...Wh-What...?
[Destroyed? But...everyone had been so sure this would be better for Weyard. It really did spell out its immediate doom? And why had The Wise One apparently spared only him? Was this his punishment? He had already destroyed his parents. Now Jenna was gone too, and so were all his friends. Isaac, Garet, Sheba, Piers, Kraden, all of them... Then again, if this was all his fault, he probably deserved to be the only one "saved".
He hangs his head as he crumples up the piece of paper. Well now what?]
Dorm Floor 3
[Felix had finally gotten past his initial shock and grief and had decided it would be best to investigate this place. One of his first discoveries was the trunk at the foot of his bed, so he was now clad once more in his usual clothes. He has also put the Tisiphone Edge at his side (he was really lucky that sword could fit in that thing), as well at three items that granted him more Psynergy, and the Mythril Bag he had still been hold while Mars Lighthouse destroyed Weyard. He figured it had been given to him as a reminder of what he had done, so he may as well carry it with him.
He had also found he couldn't take off the collar, but he would worry about that later. It probably wasn't worth worrying about right now with everything else going on.
He was now checking out the hallway of this floor. It almost looked like a huge inn with all the rooms. Where were all these people from, anyway? Were there other places that had suffered the same fate as Weyard? Alchemy hadn't destroyed multiple places, had it?
Still, it probably wouldn't hurt to talk to any of the people around here. There probably wasn't any point in hiding who he was after all. If they knew, they should know him by sight. The Wise One seemed like the kind of guy to do something like that. That flying rock really was evil...]
Floor 1
[He had finally wandered enough to figure out how to get to the cafeteria. This place...something just seemed off about the whole thing. As much as he wanted to explore everything, another part of him told him to try to research it before he wandered into a place that would trap him. He was obviously the only Adept here, after all. If something required Psynergy he didn't have, he would be stuck.
Felix had come here since he honestly just assumed he should be hungry. He still felt pretty numb. Everything....everything was gone. Except for him and nine Djinn, but if they all acted like Echo, they didn't sound like the best company right now. He'd keep them set, thanks.
He now had his apparently mandatory bowl of oatmeal. It was odd, but then again what hadn't been since he woke up? Felix sat at a table, looking almost blankly into the bowl as his thoughts about home washed over him. He had failed everyone. He couldn't protect any of them.
Very periodically, he takes a small spoonful and eats it. He doesn't quite seem to register the food isn't all that great or even that he's necessarily eating. It was almost like part of him involuntarily knew he needed to eat something while he was lost in his memories and the reality of the current situation.]

Floor 1
Hi.
If that didn't garner a response, he'd wave his hand in front of Felix's face.]
no subject
He probably would have continued to stare at his oatmeal if he hadn't spoke. Felix lifted his head a bit to look at his new company.]
... Hello. Did you need something?
no subject
no subject
no subject
[Names are sort of a big deal for Zett anyway.]
no subject
It's Felix. And who are you?
no subject
no subject
Wait, a horrible torture tower? What do you mean?
no subject
So... welcome, I guess?
no subject
They might kill us? Is that why we were really brought here? They just use people who have nothing to lose?
no subject
Floor 1
Today she is wandering around the cafeteria however but not for any particular reason except for interaction with people. She has figured out that at this time of the month a number of new people tend to arrive in the Tower and these new people are always to be found eating oatmeal in the cafeteria. It is something that unfortunately has to be done after all. Seeing an unfamiliar face sitting by himself she walks over to the table and gestures a hand to a space on the bench beside him.]
Greetings. May I take this seat?
no subject
He looks at her to respond, though hesitates for a moment. She looked...a bit different. Almost like the people of Prox. But without the scales. And the skin tone most people had instead of anything but that. Finally, he give a tiny nod.]
That's fine. I'm not expecting anyone...
["Because I ended up killing them all," he adds in his mind.]
no subject
As he answers she will bow her head low in thanks and takes a seat down next to him.]
Thank you, Little One. [A pause] You have only just arrived in this Tower, have you not?
no subject
Uh, yeah. How did you know? Have you been here for a while?
[Since usually people in villages knew he wasn't from there because everyone seemed to know everyone else in those towns.]
no subject
Yes, I have been here for quite a while and I have never seen you around the Tower before. You are also eating oatmeal. People rarely chose to eat it after their first arrival.
no subject
So that's why there was more food? And just how long have you been in this place?
[He's also curious about the "why", but one step at a time.]
no subject
Yes. The new people arriving at the Tower have to eat it once they arrive. No one is quite sure why. I've been here for around...
[She has to think about it for a moment. Time works differently to someone who is five thousand years old and still very young.] ...it must be four months now.
Dorm Floor Three
[As if Felix's day couldn't get any worse. As he passed room 3-09, a little girl poked her head out through the doorway before scrambling into the hallway properly.]
You look depressed. What happened, didja just get here or somethin'?
no subject
...His friends... Better answer honestly at the rate this was going.]
That's right. I assume you're a resident here?
no subject
[She shrugs a little. Without someone calling "Arcade's closed!" all the time, she sometimes had trouble marking the passage of time. It hasn't even been a month yet - but it sure feels like she's been here for ages. She's got a short attention span and all.
...which was part of why she was now skipping around Felix to get a better look at him.]
Hey, how come your hair's so long?
no subject
[He doesn't get to finish his inquiry after her own, however.]
Err, what? Because I haven't cut it, obviously.
no subject
[I'm so sorry, Felix.]
no subject
Because I haven't had any reason to.
no subject
[She shot him her biggest grin ever - though what she was going to cut it with, she wasn't quite sure... oh god, she's looking at the Tisiphone Edge. Great. Just great.]
You've got a cutting thing and everything right there!
no subject
There's no need for that.
[And he places the hand on the hilt of his sword.]
This is a very powerful blade. You can't use it for a simple haircut.
no subject
[She skips around him again and looks up at him with big, wide eyes.]
...what is it for? Do you cut up evil bad guys and stuff with it? Are you sure I can't just hold it for a little bit?
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?
no subject
That's right. It's to defend against monsters or anyone else attacking. It has some very strong powers, too, so it shouldn't be used by someone without experience.
no subject
...how can someone get experience?
no subject
You'd need to start with very weak monsters or practice targets. You should also find a weapon that's easy to wield without any special releases.
no subject
There's probably a lot of 'em though, or else everyone'd just be EATEN! Yanno, monster chow?
[...she says, with a wide smile on her face.]
Where'm I gonna find something like that? Are you sure I can't just borrow yours, mister?
Dormitory floor
When he runs into Felix, he doesn't show much sign of recognition, beyond a sidelook to acknowledge his presence. This place is crawling with aliens, a thing Darkleer has puzzled over for a while. But he supposes it's better than if it were crawling with trolls. Would not be nearly as peaceful and quiet, after all. The thought brings a meanspirited smile to his lips.]
no subject
...Then again, Agatio had tried to kill him...
The smile catches Felix's attention and he stops, frowning cautiously. He'd seen plenty of smiles like that, and rarely did it mean anything that would please him.]
What are you so pleased about? Are you a guardian here?
no subject
Hardly.
[He resists the urge to roll his eyes.]
If you must absolutely know, merely musing on idle thoughts.
no subject
If only he could get a definite answer on that. Sadly, he wouldn't be seeing anyone capable of giving him one ever again.]
Fine. If you aren't a guardian, then who are you?
no subject
[He sounds almost resigned at that. You weird ass aliens and your weird ass manners will be the death of him.
Only not really.]As for who I am, that is hardly something you should concern yourself with.
no subject
How am I supposed to know which manners to mind when I don't know who you are or where I am?
no subject
Hn.
[He scoffs a little, as if this is entirely Felix's fault and not something outside his control.]
You are somewhere I reckon you'd soon want not to be.
no subject
Is that a threat? Or are you referring to the circumstances behind my being here?
no subject
Darkleer is just a professional hermit, okay.]It is a threat insomuch as it needs to be, should your behavior demand it.
[In other words, if you call his bluff, he'll do his darn best to make you regret it. 8|]
But it should, in theory, be a simple observation in regards to the state of this Tower and the circumstances not so much behind you, as around you.
no subject
Just gonna...place his hand over the hilt of his sword juuuust in case this turns ugly. He still glances around the hallway however.]
It looks like a large inn. Is that supposed to mean something?
no subject
[Darkleer scoffs, after a moment.]
Your paranoia is very irritating.
no subject
He scowls in response, but removes his hand from over the hilt of his sword before responding.]
I just woke up here even though I've never seen this place before, and that wasn't even the worst part. I believe being cautious is wise in such a case.
no subject
[Darkleer arches an eyebrow.]
Merely that I find it irritating.
