Judgment 1: Arrival

Characters: Eiki and open!
Setting: Room 1-17, Cafeteria, wandering around
Format: Either
Summary:Eiki tries to get her barrings.
Warnings:None

Not being able to move after waking was startling, not quite frightening, but startling. Mostly due to the fact she hadn't remembered going to sleep. She didn't have time to sleep much and she had not used the Cleansed Crystal Mirror enough to require any. The other thing of quick note was that she was in an unfamiliar space and laying down. This was not her court room, something very suspicious was going on.

She didn't try and move for a while, the paralysis had probably past quite a bit before she went to move, but she had been busy thinking. She didn't have enough of a picture to make a decision yet, on what to do or what to assume. She would have to learn more first. The best place to start was of course the room she had awoken in. Bed, some sort of chest, simple provisions and a letter. The letter was a start, but not satisfactory.

"If I were to believe that at face value I would be considered a fool," she aid as she placed the letter down.

No, her world could not be destroyed, it wasn't something that could really be "destroyed". End perhaps, but not randomly. They would have known ahead of time of any potential changes.

Next was to check the trunk, she was relieved to find her clothes in there as well as some of her tools. She would be keeping those with her at all time now. With a quick change she decided to see if anyone else was around, or at least exploring every other door in her area in case there were more answerers to be found.

She was aware of some sort of requirement of eating oatmeal as ones first meal, but it seemed a bit strange. She wasn't particularly interested in it, and she couldn't say it was particularly appetizing to look at. She sat staring at it as if judging it intently while a hand absently went to her throat every so often to fiddle with the collar there.

"Hardly a meal one would want to be greeted with first thing."

Rosa nods.

"Hopefully you will adjust well to life here. Or, at least, survive life here.]

"The question is...how long exactly? A month? Two months? A year?"

She stares at the other woman in surprise. How could she say so casually that she could wasted sixty years of her life in the Tower? Clearly this woman was more than human.

"I see...I must say you are very lucky. Most of us would not have that time."

"A cycle?"

What sort of cycle was sixty years?

"Are you talking about something concerning ancient calendars?"

"I do not know about that. Human lifespans have been getting longer and longer. If someone were born toward the end of one cycle, they could possibly survive the next sixty year cycle and live a few years into the third cycle."

"That's a reasonable argument. Then, what of the non-human things? The plants, the animals, the...supernatural creatures."

"I see..."

She now has to take a second to think. Beatrice the Witch had lived a thousand years. How much had the Witch forgotten? And given her tendency to treat gruesome murders as games, how long would it take for Rosa's family to vanish out of the Witch's memory?

And how long would the Witch remember her time as the human Beatrice, when Rosa had befriended her...

Not that it matters much to Rosa now.

"What about you? Have you put in any effort or..."
