Characters: Miles Edgeworth and you!
Setting: Dorms or Floors 48 or 47!
Format: Prose but will match!
Summary: Miles Edgeworth and you!
Warnings: Does being in one of those horrible white bodysuits count?
Room 4-16
[To say this is ‘Not Miles Edgeworth’s Day’ would be a pretty bad understatement. Waking up in some unknown room in some hideous tight suit and not being able to move for the first half a minute of waking
However, there is one fact that the prosecutor cannot deny - that he was no longer at home and someone had brought him to this strange place. Who has and why, he does not know, but he is going to find out...
Residents of 4-16, you have a roommate now. He's sitting on his bed, still staring at the letters and trying to think things through. He hasn't noticed you yet. You might want to yell at him or tap him on the shoulder]
Around the Dorms
[Now having found his suit in his trunk and now being dressed in ared suit with a noticeably large and frilly cravat more decent and respectable clothing, Miles Edgeworth starts wandering around the dorm area, trying to find anyone who can give him relevant information about the tower. ]
Excuse me. [If you turn around, you may see a young man in his mid-twenties, giving you this rather cold glare.SPOILERS. It's not intentional]
Floor 48
[Those who knows Edgeworth very well will know that he has a great fear of elevators, thanks to a traumatic incident he experienced as a child. Back home, he always used the stairs to get to his office, even though it was on the 12th floor.
And while Edgeworth knows that at some point, he has to overcome that fear, he has decided to test how long it will take to go all the way down to the cafeteria...
He did not expect to stumble across a graveyard, though, let alone a ceiling which looks very convincingly like the sky (or at least Edgeworth thinks it is possibly a very convincing simulation. As to why there is one, though). Just....what is this room?
You can find him exploring this floor, occasionally looking at a gravestone. He does not seem to recognise any of the names, though]
Floor 47
[A floor full of sheets and curtains. How bizarre. Why on earth is there a room full of them? Also, why does Edgeworth feel he is not alone in the room?
Suddenly, something moves behind the nearest curtain, making the prosecutor nearly jump.
Was that just his imagination just now? Or was that a face he saw behind the curtain?
Someone on the same floor might want to approach the guy and tell him this floor isn't safe]

Not to that horrible collar around his neck..
Just what in the world is going on?!

[ The girl steels herself, her hands clenched as she tries to stop herself from recalling the events of that incident. But she tries to smile nonetheless, not only for her sake, but for his as well. ]
I think... the admins here... they stopped time back home? I don't know how it works, but I think it's like wham or abracadabra! You know, magic. Kind of how they took away my spirit channeling.

Also, Maya will hear the slight growling of someone's stomach. Guess who hasn't been to the cafeteria yet?]
no subject
[ Don't be such an idiot, Edgeworth. And the girl will just puff her cheeks and close her hands into tight balled fists, staring the prosecutor down until...
She hears that growl. ]
Have you not eaten yet?
no subject
As for the empty stomach..] Oh.....I haven't yet, no. [Edgeworth was planning to but is trying to gather up the courage to use the elevator. :( The number of floors the tower has and therefore the time it might take for the lift to get to the bottom isn't helping either.
Ugh. He might as well go now. As far as the prosecutor is concerned, he is a grown man and he should act like one.]

[ Okay, Maya's going to feel bad for watching him eat the oatmeal, because, yuck, but it's better than starving to death... ]
I'll even lead the way!

[Ugh. Does that mean he has to go down that blasted elevator? Down....48 floors?! Had the floors he visited earlier were not full of horrible and creepy things that he would rather not see again, Edgeworth would have taken the stairs straight away. However, even he realises that doing so would probably not be the best decision.
Damn it, he is a grown man! Grown-up men don't get frightened of elevators. He cannot be haunted by his past forever.
However, as Edgeworth is Edgeworth, he really does not want to let anyone see him start shaking or fainting in the elevator, even if it is someone like Maya, who at least knows about his traumatic past. It was humiliating enough when she saw him react badly to that earthquake in the Detention Centre two years ago...]
Er.....you go on ahead, Maya. I'll follow you down there soon. There are.....things I have to attend to first. [Liar.]

... Yeaaah. This isn't the first time that's happened, but Maya will just ask before heading down: ]
We could always take the stairs, if you want.
[ WAY TO BE SUBTLE.. ]

Now this just makes him look more pathetic. Great.
An irrational part of Edgeworth's mind makes him want to head straight for the stairs. However, as his experiences on Floor 47 weren't exactly pleasant, he knows that it might not be a good idea. Besides, doing that will only prove Maya's point.]
Th-the elevator will be fine, Maya. [And just to prove his point, the prosecutor just heads straight towards the elevator, his fists clenched his lips forming a thin line in a desperate attempt to hide any fear.]

So far. ]
Remember: elevators can't hurt you!
[ UNLESS. You know. The admins do something to it, but Maya's not going to say anything about that. ]

When Maya goes in, Edgeworth hesitates for a few seconds and then slowly steps inside. While he is trying his hardest to look calm and composed, the colour has completely drained from his face and he is already shaking.]

[ Okay, she's just going to press the button on the elevator before Edgeworth decides to change his mind and panic even more. ]
And don't worry, it won't break down! I promise.

When the young girl presses the button, Edgeworth's eyes widen. However, he stops himself from saying anything in protest because, deep down, he knows that if she hadn't, he would have taken a long time to do it himself.
Therefore, the prosecutor decides to take a look at the floor indicator in order to find something to distract himself and prevent those horrible memories from rising to the surface of his mind...
While Edgeworth is trying to put on a brave, he cannot prevent himself from shaking and he can already feel beads of sweat on his forehead...
God, this ride better be over soon.]
no subject
Though by the time she's done humming, the elevator soon stops. ]
Oh, we're here!
Wow, this was difficult to write. XD
He tried to keep control of himself, he really tried. Logically, Edgeworth knew that the chance of something horrible happening was very low. The lift was unlikely to stop. Nobody in the lift was going to die. However, the shaking and sweating would not stop. Frequently, he kept making quick glances at Maya in order to make sure that she was okay, even though the rational part of his mind told him that there was no reason why she was going to die. After all, how would someone enter the lift like that? Teleportation?
By the time the elevator stopped, Edgeworth had not quite fallen to his knees but his legs were shaking and he was trying to hold onto the side for support.
.......Worst first day in Animus ever.]
