Summary: Oz gets his Indiana Jones hat on and... wanders aimlessly

floor 22/25;
[Several days in this place plus multiple explanations concerning how elevators work and Oz still finds himself having a bit of trouble with them, but soon enough he's heading off to poke around a little more in his daily attempt to get some answers. ...Slowly. Even though familiarizing himself with the surroundings and gathering information are his top goals, forty floors is a lot to cover! After finding out just how long traversing even one floor could take on his first day, he had mentally broken the rest down into bite-sized Adventure Chunks, and today it's time to head to the 21st floor. Possibly not the best place to start; in the end, it and the few floors directly above don't yield anything particularly interesting at first glance, and the only ones he actually stops at are 22 and 25.

Anyone in floor 22 can find him staring at what appears to be a sprawling Victorian-era urban landscape with some measure of quiet contemplation. On the other hand, those moseying through 25 will find him gaping from the stairs like this is the best thing he's ever seen.]

Oh, that's really lovely! [...Really suspicious, actually. After just a few of the things he's seen, he's not foolish enough to step off of the staircase yet. Instead, he flags down the nearest person, be they on the staircase or the floor itself.] Excuse me, is it safe to spend time on this floor?

floor 3;
[After his shenanigans on the higher floors come to an end, he takes the elevator to the bottom level and works his way up to the third. He's already passed through this library a few times and took the time out once to look for anything potentially useful, even if that search had turned out to be fruitless. This time, he's come to look around for different reasons— something to keep his mind occupied being chief among them. He had expected to walk out with a few interesting reads to whittle away some hours with. What he hadn't expected to find was the entire Holy Knight series just sitting there in the center of a shelf, begging to be checked out.

SO fine library patrons, you can catch Oz making an impromptu juggling act of himself in the fiction section, trying to balance a good eight or so volumes and still seemingly determined to pick up more. Beware all ye who wander too close, lest the potential book avalanche become a reality...]

[Tohko followed the boy to his bed and carefully put the books on it. However, she didn't drop them. The clothes may have looked a little old-fashioned, but Tohko was never one to be up-to-date on that sort of thing. She thought they looked nice. However, when she saw the book, she smiled and took it from him when he held it out to her.]

Ah, thank you very much! I promise, I'll take good care of it, and I'll give it back to you as soon as I'm done.

[She'll just have to make sure she doesn't eat it.]

[Yes please don't eat his books, Tohko...]

You can take your time reading it. That's the one I've read the most, so it isn't like I'll be needing to revisit it any time soon. Now you know where I'm staying, so you can return it whenever you'd like!

[She'll try her best not to..even if the story is delicious..]

Ah, alright then! It shouldn't take me too long to finish, so I'll just pop in here and return it when I'm done.

[And then ask for the next volume..]

[He'd be all right with sharing! Voracious readers unite...

That said, he glances back at his pile o' books with his hands on his hips, looking quite satisfied.] All right, I'll look forward to your visit! [...] Oh! I can't believe my manners, my name is Oz! Oz Vessalius.

Oh, that's alright! Don't worry about it! It's nice to meet you, Oz. I'm Tohko Amano, the book girl..and are you a fan of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz?

Nice to meet you, too! [The look that follows is just a little confused, but mostly curious.]

Is that a book? I've never heard of it before.

It is a book! And it's a really wonderful story as well! It's surprising that you don't have it in your universe! If you want, I can run to the library and grab you a copy.

I would hate to trouble you so much all at once! [One hand is waved in a somewhat dismissive gesture.]

But how does this sound? I'll stop by the library again in three days and we can exchange books and have a nice meal.

That does sound nice..but really, grabbing that book for you wouldn't be a bother!

I would have to think of more creative excuses to visit you later on if you keep bringing the books to me, though.

[Tohko couldn't help but chuckle a little at that.]

Well, I would like to see those creative excuses!

[A sigh! Gosh, there's just no winning here today.]

You're not going to make this easy for me, are you? Fine, fine, let's have the book and I'll visit again soon with an absolutely excellent excuse.

[Tohko chuckled and patted the kid on the head.]

Alright then! I'll be right back!

[Tohko will then rush out of the room, take the elevator, visit the library, and then come back holding a copy of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. As she caught her breath, she handed Oz the book.]

Here you are! Hopefully you'll enjoy it.

[He accepts it with a bright smile.]

Oh, you're welcome! I'm glad I could help you out, and thank you for the book! I'm sure I'll like it!

[She then nodded and waved, holding onto said book.]

I'll see you in a few days then! Hopefully you can think of a good excuse soon!

[That last part was a bit of a joke. Smiling and waving, Tohko left the room and took the elevator down to the library..reading the first volume of Holy Knight all the while.]
