[Open] Arrival of a Grand Master
Characters: Iroh and whoever comes across him.
Setting: Room 5-04 and the hallways.
Format: Either or
Summary: Iroh arrives and goes to see what's up.
Warnings: None so far.
Room 5-04
It was strange to wake up in a room like this, stranger still for him not to recognize...anything. Looking around, Iroh wondered if he was having some kind of very unusual dream. Had it been a plant he'd ingested? No, he didn't think so. At least he couldn't recall having consumed anything like that. Recently. Stroking his chin, he pondered the situation when he happened to notice his attire.
"Oh..."
True it showed off that his very muscular body but it was very immodest! Not at all the sort of thing a man of sixty-four should be wearing. Blinking, he poked at it a bit before getting off the bed and shuffling over to the trunk at the end of the bed. Perhaps the nice kidnappers had managed to find him some clothes?
Well, he could hope!
Hallways
After finding himself some proper clothes in his trunk and getting a little bit adjusted to this place, well as much as one could, Iroh went to explore the area. It wouldn't hurt to get to know his surroundings, even if he couldn't understand them. Everything was just so...advanced! As fascinating as it all was, he had no idea how to deal with it.
Ah well, there was little he could do about that. The best thing to do was find a nice hot cup of tea to help him think.
Now if he could just find the way down to the food area...

"Oh, it's alright! You're not interrupting me. And thank you..but I'll be alright. I was just testing this out to see if it would work. It's not that good..but I'll keep trying to write."
no subject
He doubted the fact but it couldn't hurt to at least try. Besides, he wanted to give her some hope that there was still a way. True, he had no idea who this was but she seemed like she might need it.
no subject
"Maybe..I could prop the book on my knees and try to hold it down as I wrote. But even if that doesn't work, I'll keep trying! Thank you for the advice.."
Tohko then scratched her head as she thought for a moment. She couldn't recall seeing a person like this before, and while she would usually just shake off the possibility of this being a new resident, the timing did seem to match.
"Pardon..but are you a new resident?"
no subject
He laughed softly, pleased to see her smiling. Iroh had no idea what could have caused her to be injured but if just saying this could bring some light to her face then that was more than enough for him in the end. Of course, he paused a moment later at the question, settling for a warm smile.
"I am. I just arrived."
no subject
Tohko smiled and nodded at his reply, closing her notebook.
"Ah, alright then. I hadn't seen you around before, and since new residents always come during the beginning of each month, I thought you might be one. If you want, I could tell you what I know about the Tower. That way, you'll know what you're up against!"
no subject
Iroh's smile brightened and he gave a nice bow of his head. Just to show her how grateful he was for her willingness to help him.
no subject
"I'm not sure how blessed you are..but you don't have to thank me! I'm just happy to help out. Let's see..this Tower is called Animus. As far as I know, four people run it: Dax, who is a humane person, Riki, who is a secretive man that manages the records, Ruana, who is an immortal, childlike girl who sees her experiments on the residents as nothing more than fun games, and Jason, a man who likes to torture and experiment on the residents. They will lie to you, so take everything they say with a grain of salt.
Also, your world isn't destroyed! There are several people here who wouldn't be able to exist if their universes were destroyed, so don't worry. Your universe is alright.
If you haven't been to the cafeteria yet, make sure you eat the oatmeal when you go. I know it tastes terrible, but if you don't, you'll throw up whatever else you try to eat until you finish it. However, you can add things to it to improve the taste, and once you finish it, you can eat whatever you want.
Monsters roam the hallways at night. I'm not sure how good at fighting you are, but if you need some help, there are plenty of people here who would be more than happy to help out. Death is also not permanent here. If you die, you'll just wake up the next morning. However, I'm sure that if you die too many times, you'll get punished, so please be careful."
Tohko then nodded to herself as she finished her infodump. "That should be everything."
no subject
"That is quite a bit."
no subject
"It is a lot to take in..and I'm sorry if I went too fast! People move so quickly in the Tower sometimes that if I don't manage to get it all out in one go, they won't hear something important before they move on. However...it's strange, but you'll get used to everything pretty quickly..even if the Administrators are rather cruel."
no subject
"I was simply a little startled by how much there is!"
no subject
"Ah, alright then. And while that is a lot of information, there's still a lot about this Tower and the Administrators that we still don't know. But I'm sure, eventually, we'll know it all."
no subject
That made Iroh blink because really that had been so much already! To think that there was even more that was yet known... Amazing really.
no subject
"There is..but we keep finding it out pretty slowly because the Administrators either lie, don't tell us, or only give us partial hints. But I'm sure we'll find out everything one of these days."
no subject
He knew liars, knew their partial truths, their trickery. It was a harsh thing to be under but at least he could work with it. Keep in mind that these Administrators always lie and he stood a chance of being alright.
no subject
"I'm sorry to hear that. Really, I am. Hopefully they'll stop twisting around the truth someday too."
