[Open] Arrival of a Grand Master
Characters: Iroh and whoever comes across him.
Setting: Room 5-04 and the hallways.
Format: Either or
Summary: Iroh arrives and goes to see what's up.
Warnings: None so far.
Room 5-04
It was strange to wake up in a room like this, stranger still for him not to recognize...anything. Looking around, Iroh wondered if he was having some kind of very unusual dream. Had it been a plant he'd ingested? No, he didn't think so. At least he couldn't recall having consumed anything like that. Recently. Stroking his chin, he pondered the situation when he happened to notice his attire.
"Oh..."
True it showed off that his very muscular body but it was very immodest! Not at all the sort of thing a man of sixty-four should be wearing. Blinking, he poked at it a bit before getting off the bed and shuffling over to the trunk at the end of the bed. Perhaps the nice kidnappers had managed to find him some clothes?
Well, he could hope!
Hallways
After finding himself some proper clothes in his trunk and getting a little bit adjusted to this place, well as much as one could, Iroh went to explore the area. It wouldn't hurt to get to know his surroundings, even if he couldn't understand them. Everything was just so...advanced! As fascinating as it all was, he had no idea how to deal with it.
Ah well, there was little he could do about that. The best thing to do was find a nice hot cup of tea to help him think.
Now if he could just find the way down to the food area...

"The winds of chance blew me here so I decided to go have tea." After all, when confused and distressed what better cure was there than tea? At least, that was his experience with things. Not all would agree with him.
"I believe you dropped your brush."
no subject
"So this place has snapped you up as well..." She thought that over carefully, wrapping one arm around her waist and tapped her chin, looking thoughtful. It could have been better, but then again, it could have been worse. Maybe he could be useful here.
Tea was his weak spot. Suddenly she found a use for that basket of foods she had gotten a few weeks ago other than eating.
"Oh, hmm, tea. I don't think they have any in the kitchens right now. I have some jasmine in my room."
no subject
Just a minor one. Really.
"Jasmine sounds most refreshing now."
no subject
Her encounter with the oatmeal still stood out in her mind.
no subject
So many confusing things in this place!
"No?"
no subject
"Well, Uncle. The kitchen is on the bottom floor. As amusing as the idea of you getting sick all over my room is, I'd rather not clean up after you. Go get some oatmeal and I'll make us some tea. We can talk then."
no subject
She was crazy!
Literally!
"The bottom floor?" He looked into the box with the utmost...concern.
no subject
She paused, considering her next words carefully. Iroh could make life here difficult for her, but on the other hand he could be an asset. "I don't know how you got out of prison, much less to this place, and I know how you feel about me, but you'd be smart to listen. You need me." Well, maybe he did, maybe he didn't. She wasn't known for her honesty, but she didn't seem like she was lying.
"I'll tell you all about the spirits that brought us here." She added, in one of her semi-persuading tones.
Azula may be crazy, but she wasn't stupid. This place had her on edge at the best of times, and every day that passed without a way out only made her more resolute to find one. The broader her network was, the better. Getting on Iroh's good side couldn't be a bad move at this point.

Still, there was...something more?
This was worth exploring.
"Bottom floor..." He stared at the buttons wondering which he was supposed to push for that bottom floor thing. He didn't even know what floor this was!

Maybe she could get her grooming done before he came back, but she wasn't going to hold out hope for that. "Oh, and be careful of the monsters."
no subject
Of course this was after he pushed the button so the doors were closing already. Well that was troubling. Naturally he could take care of himself but it wasn't often people had to warn you of monsters.
Stranger still that Azula would at all.
Yes, very strange indeed.
no subject
If he died on the way down, she would just say "I told you, be careful of the monsters." If something went wrong, find a way to blame someone else, after all.
If he did come back, he would find her behind the door of 1-11, her name listed on the wall beside it.
