Summary: Amberley's poking around and trying to gather information, all while playing it as safe as possible.
Warnings: The thread with Tohko has gracious amounts of talk of murder and other grimdarkness that comes with the verse.

Cafeteria: [ Amberley's got a big plate of something unidentifiable in front of her and she is grossed out. Is this the kind of stuff that the Imperial Guard eats on a daily basis? Maybe her expensive lifestyle had caught up to her, but she hardly doubted she could stomach what was in front of her.

Then again, if she didn't eat at all, she would grow weak. In a new place, this was unthinkable. So very slowly, Amberley tries to make her way through the meal. ]

Library: [ What better way is there to gain knowledge than through reading? Amberley's draped on a chair with a huge stack of books, reading at a pretty good pace. Occasionally, she'll nod and hum to herself, but other than that, she's completely lost in her reading. ]

Well, it shouldn't be too hard to find her..and she probably won't mind teaching you. She's been teaching me ever since I got to the Tower, after all.

She must be a kind person.

Well..she is a little kind..but she's also rather protective of others.

Nothing wrong with that.

[Tohko sighed.]

There is if she thinks that she has to fight all alone without any help from me or her friends.

But she can't stop her friends from helping, now can she?

[tohko_amano]

[At that, Tohko chuckled.]

That's true. Just because she doesn't want me to help her in a fight doesn't mean that I'll listen and run away. I just wish she'd let people help out instead of having to force themselves in.

[hegantha]

Everyone has their flaws. Best to just accept it, really.

[tohko_amano]

Well, that's true..but it's hard to just accept it when it means that she's trying to force you to give up the idea of fighting with her.

Why is she teaching you if she wants you to give it up?

[tohko_amano]

Well..she wants to make sure I can defend myself..but when it comes to other people helping her out on the battlefield, she doesn't like it.

[hegantha]

She just sounds prideful. Nothing wrong with that. And if you want to help her, you can just go against her wishes.

[tohko_amano]

Well, I'm not saying I won't. It'd just be nice if she wasn't so against me fighting beside her.

[Tohko sighed.]

I'm probably not making much sense, am I?

[hegantha]

I think you worry too much.

[tohko_amano]

[At that, Tohko chuckled a little.]

Maybe..but I suppose it's better than not worrying enough and missing something important.

[hegantha]

If that's the way you choose to look at it, then sure, that's probably true. But try to relax sometimes too, alright?

Don't worry, I do! I can always manage to take a few moments to read a book or something similar.
