Yosuke's Room - for Naoto Shirogane

[There's a message left for Naoto under her door, scrawled in a too-rushed-to-be-neat handwriting she might actually recognized from agonizing study sessions in the Junes food court. It reads:

Hey, we need to talk. Meet me in my room - nothing weird, I just need to talk to you about some stuff. See you later.

[As for the messenger himself, he's sitting on the edge of his bed, legs swinging nervously - not for fear of subject matter, but he always has a hard time talking to Naoto (without devolving into teasing her about something within five minutes). Still, his resolve is steeled. After all, he worked up the guts to deliver the message, right! He can do this!]

Media Floor - Open - Tags from Yosuke and Naoto

[After their talk, the two of them can be found in his usual place. What's unusual about the situation? He's got Naoto playing a fighting game with him, and it doesn't seem like he's going easy on her. It's not like he can, she's Naoto Shirogane! Five minutes with a controller and he's sure she'll be an expert]

Alright, my super gauge is full! No way you're getting out of this one!

[His voice is full of teasing - better enjoy it while it lasts, Yosuke. Approach the two?]


Cafeteria/Kitchen - Open - Tags from Yosuke OR Naoto

[All good things must come to an end eventually, and the two have parted ways. However, they're both human! Sooner or later, you can catch Yosuke or Naoto in the kitchen making themselves something to eat. Yes, MAKING something to eat! Whichever one you catch, dare you interrupt the approaching disaster waiting to happen?]

She found the note strange for a number of reasons. After all, she could count on one hand the amount of times Yosuke has asked to speak to her in private. Was this a serious request? Did he legitimately have something he wanted to discuss with her?

Only one way to find out.

Knock, knock Yosuke.]

[He swallows hard, trying to get rid of his nerves. They're stupid nerves anyways - he just wants to talk! What's there to even be nervous about? Stupid nerves.]

[Oh, right, he should answer her]

It's open! Come on in, it's just me right now. The roomies are out.

[detecting]

[She enters the room quietly, closing the door behind her.]

Is everything alright? I came as soon as I saw your note.

[Of course. Kyoko is just going to casually lean over the back of the couch the two are sitting on, arms folded over the top of it. She watches, but only for the minute or so that it remains entertaining. There's a piece of melon pan in her mouth, which she's taking bites out of and probably getting crumbs all over.]

Yo. Didn't think I'd be seeing you around here.

[The words are more for Naoto than Yosuke. Still, she glances at Yosuke with a mischievous grin on her face and casually reaches over in an attempt to tug his headphones off. If she's successful, she'll put them on herself.]

[He only spares Kyoko a glance when she approaches - he's used to her having a knack for running into him, and all things considered he's not too surprised to see her here. Besides, he can't let himself get distracted! He's got a war to wi-]

[And there go his headphones. He's too stunned that anyone would even try to take them to react quick enough. It's only once she's got them on that he realizes he should be getting indignant, and soon enough the game is forgotten as he turns to face her]

Kyoko! Give those back, come on! I don't care how good they look on you!

[Kyoko has excellent timing. She's able to dodge the attack and land a finishing blow of her own.

Game Over.

She places the controller on her lap, offering her a small smile.]

Hello, Kyoko-san. It's good to see you again.

[ One of the two faces are familiar to super idol Sayaka, which is why she can approach with a confident smile on her face, and then leans over the couch to watch the screen better. She'll wait until the match is over before she speaks up. ]

Quite the fan of fighting games, isn't that right, Hanamura-kun?

[He notices someone watching them, but Yosuke's so absorbed in the match he doesn't have the time to look. After all, as expected, Naoto's picked up on this quick - he can't let his guard down for an instant! Still, he risks a glance and can't help but smile when he sees it's Sayaka, and in that instant he jumps when he should have ducked and it's all over.]

[Man... oh well, he'll get her in the next one]

Well, they're a lot of fun! And I used to be good at them once, when I was a lot younger. Now I get beaten by my friends who are just starting.

[See Naoto? He can be a gracious winner sometimes. At the very least he's still smiling]

Speaking of which, have you met Naoto before? Naoto, meet my new favorite idol!

[Either Sayaka had bad timing or Naoto was actually starting to get the hang of this whole fighting game thing. Yosuke certainly hasn't been going easy on her. Either way, a win is a win.]

New favorite idol? [She gives Yosuke a small, amused smile. One that clearly says "Does Rise know that you have a new favorite?" She smiles a bit, nodding in greeting.]

Naoto Shirogane. It's a pleasure to meet you.

[...and wherever she is, Rise is suddenly feeling kinda irritated for some reason but she was right, Sayaka-chan is indeed a worthy rival...]

Uh... you guys wanna tell me what exactly you're making?

[Yosuke'd been too busy picking out their selection of ingredients to notice the big guy approaching, but Kanji gets a smile once he does notice]

Well the omelet I tried last time went pretty well, so I was thinking we'd try another one. I'm pretty sure the two of us can manage it, but the help would-

[... wait a second. He looks up at Kanji, realizing something for the first time]

Wait, can I know you're all creative, but can you cook, Kanji?

[And he gets an even bigger smile from Naoto.]

We would certainly benefit from your assistance.

[Anything is better than the synthesized stuff on the Land of the Steel. So for V/V, peeking over Yosuke's shoulder, interrupting is the opposite of what she wants to do.]

[He recognizes the voice straight away, but it's the words that make him double take. For his second real attempt at cooking - and one that's largely improvisation - it's not what he expected to hear. He can feel himself blushing, but he tries to play it off with a smile]

You really think so? I just... made an omelet last time, so I thought I'd build on it and add stuff.

[She started off really bad, but maybe she got okay at it by the time she left...?]

[America was going to ask what they were doing but he is instead captivated by what's going on on the screen. At first he thinks it's some sort of show--he's seen people watch things in the room before--but after a little bit of observation he realizes a bunch of buttons are getting pressed.

Therefore, eventually, he has to ask about the controllers.]

[Yosuke risks a quick glance at the source of the voice, but finds himself double taking once he sees that it's a little kid. And one that he's fairly certain he recognizes, at that! His hand is quick on the pause button so Naoto doesn't get too much of an advantage, and he pats the couch next to him to invite the kid over]

We'll show you! Ready for your first lesson in video games, squirt?

If he was able to teach me, I'm sure you'll be able to pick it up in no time at all.

[Oh my god video games! Ryoji's standing behind the two, watching excitedly. And ignoring the fact that Naoto looks way too much like someone else he knows.]

[She hasn't been here half as long as Naoto-kun or Yosuke-senpai, but it's still been long enough for her to know that you have to take full advantage of the little pockets of normalcy here in the Tower. So when she sees two of her favourite people in any world together, she can't help all but bouncing over to join them and basically draping herself halfway over the back of the couch.]

[On the one hand, Rise! Yaaaaay! He's never not happy to see a friend! On the other hand, it's not like Naoto needs a cheering section, but oh well. He grins and scoots over because it's only a matter of time before she makes herself comfortable, so why fight it?]

Just some crappy generic fighting game, but it's a fun way to pass the time! Want to give it a shot? I don't mind sitting out a round.
