Yearly Check Up [Open!]
Who: Yosuke Hanamura, Naoto Shirogane, and eventually YOU!
What: Yosuke decides it's time for a chat. Shenanigans eventually ensue!
When: Jan eventually 9
Where: Yosuke's Room and eventually the Media Floor
Warnings: To Be Determined eventually
Yosuke's Room - for Naoto Shirogane
[There's a message left for Naoto under her door, scrawled in a too-rushed-to-be-neat handwriting she might actually recognized from agonizing study sessions in the Junes food court. It reads:
Hey, we need to talk. Meet me in my room - nothing weird, I just need to talk to you about some stuff. See you later.
- Yosuke]
[As for the messenger himself, he's sitting on the edge of his bed, legs swinging nervously - not for fear of subject matter, but he always has a hard time talking to Naoto (without devolving into teasing her about something within five minutes). Still, his resolve is steeled. After all, he worked up the guts to deliver the message, right! He can do this!]
[Probably!]
Media Floor - Open - Tags from Yosuke and Naoto
[After their talk, the two of them can be found in his usual place. What's unusual about the situation? He's got Naoto playing a fighting game with him, and it doesn't seem like he's going easy on her. It's not like he can, she's Naoto Shirogane! Five minutes with a controller and he's sure she'll be an expert]
Alright, my super gauge is full! No way you're getting out of this one!
[His voice is full of teasing - better enjoy it while it lasts, Yosuke. Approach the two?]
Cafeteria/Kitchen - Open - Tags from Yosuke OR Naoto
[All good things must come to an end eventually, and the two have parted ways. However, they're both human! Sooner or later, you can catch Yosuke or Naoto in the kitchen making themselves something to eat. Yes, MAKING something to eat! Whichever one you catch, dare you interrupt the approaching disaster waiting to happen?]
[It might be a good idea. For the good of humanity. Just saying]

Would you care to join us? I'm sure there's an extra controller around somewhere.
no subject
[Though her rounds will end with the kitchen anyway, but that's besides the point. Her serious expression doesn't last long, though, as she perks up at the invitation.]
Sure, I still got some time. You sure you got room for another person though? These kinda games are usually only good for two players.
[But she's going to walk around the couch and try and take a seat between the two of them anyway, seeming genuinely happy for once.]
no subject
Well, there's an easy answer - loser rotates out. It's the way these things are normally done.
So you better win, alright? And don't think I'll go easy when it's my turn!
no subject
[and no it has nothing to do with the fact that she had no friends growing up why on earth would you think that.]
no subject
[She's getting all fired up now!!]
Guess I'm not the only one here that's like that, huh? I only got to go to the arcades at night, so this is my first time getting to play with others like this.
[Same with the Tower, really...she hasn't really ever been able to socialize normally like this.]
no subject
[... his life can actually be kinda cool sometimes. Now, to put his foot in his mouth!]
So you're used to just playing with yourself?
[And as soon as the words are out of his mouth, he realizes it did not come out as planned]
Crap, I didn't mean it that way!
no subject
... I was always too busy to take part in frivolous recreational activities.
[She says frivolous, but something about her tone makes it sound like she doesn't find this to be "frivolous" at all. In fact, it almost sounds like the exact opposite.
But then Yosuke is once more tactful as ever. She looks at him out of the corner of her eye with a frown. She lets out a sigh of exasperation.]
no subject
[She flashes Naoto a grin and a wink. She remembers a little about Naoto, but nothing more than basic facts: not enough to have expected this serious girl to be so sensitive deep down. Or to find herself relating to her, if only a little. It's a little nostalgic.
And then Yosuke breaks the serious atmosphere. She might not have thought much of it if he didn't decide to correct himself--really, it took her a second to see what was wrong with that statement,--but as it is she glares at him, tone suddenly rising.]
Oi--! Just what the Hell are you trying to imply!?
[See, Yosuke! She can get flustered!]
no subject
I wasn't trying to imply anything! It just came out wrong! Come on Naoto, tell her about how I say stupid stuff all the time!
no subject
And that makes it acceptable?
no subject
That's cause you keep opening that stupid mouth of yours! Maybe I oughta break your jaw and fix that problem!
[THIS FACE SAYS SHE ACTUALLY MIGHT, but probably not because she's soft and he probably knows that actually, BUT SHE WANTS YOU TO THINK SHE WILL.]
no subject
Cut it out! You had this mouth for a while, don't forget! And Naoto, you're not helping!
no subject
[But Kyoko's not getting out of this scott free either.]
However, threatening physical violence is hardly the way to resolve this issue.
[jeeze, why is she suddenly both of your mothers?!]
no subject
There's a reason I gave it back, y'know!
[She'll (very reluctantly) let go of his cheeks when Naoto scolds her, falling back and crossing her arms.]
...tch. Isn't that the fasted way to get things done though? Cause like, people like him never listen otherwise, y'know.
[But really she's just sulking now.]
no subject
People like him usually fail to listen either way. [yes, Yosuke. Naoto is teasing you. This is a thing that's happening.]
no subject
What was that, Naoto? I wasn't listening.
no subject
Yeah, I'm starting to see what you mean.
[She tugs a box of pocky out of her pocket, glancing at the two of them.]
Want one?
