Summary: Despite his guilt over destroying the world, Felix is back to checking this place out

Floor 3

[Felix had already come across this floor, and he even figured out how to do simple text on the terminals. Today, however, he was more interested in the books. You can probably find him browsing the shelves with an ever growing frown. From time to time, he'll grab a book and skim it, but he usually puts it back a few minutes later.

Were anyone to pay attention to the titles, they may notice that there doesn't seem to be a ton of rhyme or reason to the ones he picks up. Is he just grabbing the ones that look interesting?]

Floor 4

[Anyone on this floor may spot him wandering around the perimeter of the room, trying to see whatever he can. He doesn't seem overly concerned with seeing the tower itself, but more the surrounding area. Maybe he's trying to figure out where he really is? He's being pretty persistent about it despite the fact that he shouldn't be noticing anything familiar.]

Floor 10

This is it...

[Felix seems to be very glad he found this floor. He had already heard about it, after all. It certainly looked promising, though the entire concept didn't make a lot of sense to him. How could an aquarium with large animals even fit in this tower? Much less without glass.

Just then, something leaped out of the water ahead of him. He looks at it in anticipation, but his face falls just a bit when he sees how large it is. Definitely impressive, but not what he was looking for.]

What was that thing, any...?

[Just then, a blue-grey fin skirts the top of the water off to his side, and Felix's head snaps toward it. Could it be...?

The animals head surfaces for a bit, stares at Felix, and then proceeds to sink back under the water to get back to its very important swimming. He heads toward the edge of the water and gets down on his knees, looking at it at the spot where he had last seen it. He looks the closest to happy he has since he woke up here and found out he killed everyone.]

They do have dolphins here!

[Ryuho is not in the library looking for anything in particular. He actually just hopes that looking over enough subjects might spark some kind of memory.]

Oh, excuse me.

[He says, almost running into the other person when he turns the corner, he's been looking through a book on music and not entirely paying attention.]

[Whereas while Felix would like information on this place, he'll flip through anything that strikes him as interesting.]

Don't worry about it.

[Though now he's curious, if that book had this guy so enraptured...]

What are you reading?

A book on music.

[He pauses] A lot of it seems familiar.

[Felix wasn't a musician by any means, but he knew enough to know that was strange. He knew music pretty much stayed within areas of common travel from his own journeys.]

It does? Is this place connected to a place you're familiar with?

I don't know. I don't remember home, that's why I was browsing.

You don't remember anything about it? Did you hit your head?

I don't remember. My arms were injured the last I remembered.

And you aren't sure how that even happened? Was anyone else around?

I have been told that Kazuma was there, but I don't remember that either.

[As usual, Tohko continued with her library duties. It was a bit harder with only one arm free, but she wasn't going to give up. She saw a young man browsing the shelves as she walked by and smiled at him.]

Good morning! Need help finding anything?

[Oh huh, someone worked in here? Then again, with this many books, it made sense.]

Uh, good morning. I was looking for any history books you might have.

[Those tended to have useful tidbits when he grabbed them in people's houses, after all!]

[Tohko sighed and scratched her head.]

I'm sorry..the Administrators pulled all the history books that we might have had about this place. However, if you are a new resident, I can tell you what I know.

[Well that certainly sounded suspicious. He knits his brow a bit.]

They did? Then do you have any idea of where this place is? Or how long it's been here?

[Again, Tohko sighed.]

I don't know exactly where it is, but I do know that the Tower is at least a thousand years old, if not more.

[He glances around. He had been in some ancient towers he had thought looked all right for their ages, but if this on was really that old...]

How do you know that much if there isn't any history? It doesn't appear to be that old.

I know it doesn't look that old, but one of the Administrators says she's been here for about that long, so the Tower has to be about that old, if she was in it.

[...Okay, things not computing with that sentence.]

Are you saying she's lived for that long? How do you know you can trust her?

She says she has..and while I can't trust her with everything, she told that bit of information to so many people on the network that I don't think she's lying about it.

[All right, for now he'll just operate under the assumption that it's remotely possible, he wants to focus on the important points.]

If we assume that's true, why would she tell us that much while hiding the rest of the history?

[At that, Tohko sighed.]

Because the past is painful to her. She doesn't want to remember it.

*There is an armored man(with some rather strange armor, at that) sitting against one of the walls, leaning slightly to his left because of a piece of armor high on his right leg. He's watching Felix, and as the other nears, he speaks.*

The fog never clears.

[Felix turns to him, and though he does note that, he has more important things to ask about at the moment.]

It doesn't?

[He's actually heard of that before but...he's not sure if it's the same place. Is it...?]

Wouldn't that make this place more suspicious to anyone outside?

There aren't people outside. The fog protects this tower from invasion by monsters outside... All the natives live beneath the earth.

[SUDDENLY OZ. God knows where he came from, but he's standing close enough to Felix to have seen that dolphin.]

See! It's pretty amazing, isn't it?

[Felix certainly doesn't, since the surprise nearly makes him lose his balance. As much as he likes seeing dolphins, he's pretty sure he wouldn't like toppling forward into a pool full of unfamiliar aquatic animals, so he manages to catch himself.]

Yes, it's incredible! Are there a lot of fish in here?

[They look like they'd be a total blast to swim with! Except maybe the absolutely mammoth ones... Those are a little freaky to behold, let alone be near.]

A ton! It's incredible, I don't know how they've managed to fit so many in one place without the entire floor collapsing.

Probably the same way they've done anything else in this tower. [He has no idea what that is, but still.]

[Just gonna...casually run his fingers over the surface of the water.] I wonder if there's any way to call certain ones.

Certain ones? [He stands on his toes, looking interested.] Can you call any of them?

[...HE'S NOT JUST INTERESTED IN THE DOLPHINS WHAT ARE YOU IMPLYING?]

I'm not sure. I would be surprised if you could for most of them, but some of these seem...more intelligent than others.

[playing favorites already huh huh]

Do they? Which ones? [he stands on his toes to peer into the glass-less tank, eyeing every fish that passes by. ...they all seem the same to him, sadly.]
