Summary: America now believes he's been in the Tower for 250 years. He is a little different now.
Warnings: America is very fickle while evented and may attempt to hurt your character if you make him mad/for amusement; a lot of these options are him doing just that

A; staircases (let me know what floor you land on if you land on a floor)
[America is bored. This happens a lot, actually--he's worn through all manner of entertainment in two hundred and fifty years, played until his toys wore out and broke, and his search for distraction and games has come down to making his own fun. This isn't something he didn't do at home (oh, but he can hardly remember any home but the Tower anymore...), but now it's taken on a bit more sinister bent.

People are always fun to talk to and play with. Getting reactions out of people is always fun. People falling is funny.

Pushing people down the stairs, then, is a good way to get all of that at once! Unless you're someone he likes, someone England likes, a frequent playmate, or someone he's learned is likely to kill him without blinking, you're about to get shoved pretty hard.

If you are one of those people, help him/stop him/roll your eyes at him?]


B; Floor Thirty-Four
[America isn't on the floor himself--rather, he's looking out at it. He's thrown a very old-looking stuffed toy onto the floor, however, and he's watching and listening carefully for people to come by. When they do, and they're not someone he likes or has learned not to mess with, then the crocodile tears start.]

H-hey! Hey, can you help me? My toy... [He points mournfully at the stuffed animal.] The wind blew it all the way over there!

[He knows some people can get out and back without succumbing to the urge to fall off and some can't. It's a good sort of guessing game to play!]

C; Floor Thirty
[America isn't actively doing anything this time--he's instead sitting on the staircase eating some food he's taken from the cafeteria. Specifically he's sitting just above floor thirty, just above where the staircase would vanish if it decides to drop someone into the monster-infested floor he's watching. He likes guessing if the person can get back in time or not, you see. Of course, if you'd like to hang out with him, he's always up for conversation!]

[America frowns a bit, looking down at the stairs.] Hey, you should hold on! [Hold on to the central spiral, that is, because at least that stays where it is when the staircase drops.]

[redwhiteandhero]

[Years at Hogwarts have honed his tricky-stair instincts, so fortunately that is his first reaction. Unfortunately, stairs completely falling out from under him is a new one, and he's left clinging onto the center spiral like a doofus.]

What the crap?

[colonial]

The stairs fall out! See, didn't you know?[America hops up, but he doesn't have a lot of options, given a lack of any ability to fly. He stretches out his hand as far as it can go, but he's hardly got a long reach.]

Can you reach me?

[redwhiteandhero]

[No offense kid, but how the heck is a babby supposed to help, even if he could reach? Al's just gonna... attempt to shimmy up the pole like a thing that shimmies up poles. Badly.]

I'm still gettin' used to this place. It's freakin' huge.

[colonial]

You can't be still getting used to it, it's been almost forever. [America continues reaching for Alfred, though--even if he's being really unhelpful if he can get a hold of the bigger him he could just yank him over.]

[redwhiteandhero]

[That's the thing, he hasn't gotten used to the idea of buffalo-heaving babbies yet either.]

Like a month... swear it took me half a year before I stopped getting lost in the castle.

[colonial]

A month? [It takes America a moment to realize what that means--the Tower did something to Al to make him think it hadn't been hundreds of years.] Oh.

[He smiles, a bit oddly--if he ignores it it's okay. If he forgets anything bad is happening then nothing bad is happening. He just needs to distract himself.]

Can you use magic to get over here?

[redwhiteandhero]

[Alfred's face scrunches up a bit. Sure feels stupid hanging onto a pole.] If I can get my wand out, yeah, I gotta broom. [Getting his hands free without falling gonna be easier said than done, though.]

[colonial]

I still think you should try to reach me. [America paces the edge of the staircase, trying to determine the closest point to Alfred. He stops at that point once he's decided where it is.] Unless you wanna slide down and fight a bunch've monsters!

[redwhiteandhero]

If I did, I'd have my wand. [He lets go of the pole with one arm and... no, he is not reaching out to have a baby grab his hand. It is stupid. Instead he's gonna try and reach into his pocket, but he's slipping...]

[colonial]

[America squeaks, genuine emotion and distress blossoming in his chest. He wobbles on the edge as he tries to reach Alfred on his own.]

You're sliding!

[redwhiteandhero]

[Honestly it wasn't that far of a drop-- he was about to just let go and take his chances with the monsters. It would be good practice, right? But the kid seems upset now, really upset, and the last thing he wants to do is scare the little guy. With a bit of a desperate sigh he reaches out toward America's hand, hoping he's not just going to end up dragging both of them in.]

[colonial]

[America can feel the relief as he grabs Alfred's hand--America isn't really that heavy, not compared to a lot of things he throws around for fun, so he tugs Alfred over to the intact staircase without issue.]

Why'd you take so long? [In the back of his mind he knows it's because the Tower is making Al think he's only been here a month and he didn't tell Al about his strength until later. But he can't acknowledge that, can't let the Tower do things to make him unhappy. Nothing was wrong.]

[redwhiteandhero]

Did you just... lift me over here?

[colonial]

I wasn't gonna drop you! [America seems quite insistent about that.] Dropping you wouldn't've been fun!

[redwhiteandhero]

I was scared I was gonna drop you, buddy. I'm like five times your size.

[colonial]

[America lifts Alfred up again, over his head this time.] It's not like you're a real big tree! [This is about as close as he feels like getting to telling Alfred about his strength again--he puts Al down higher up on the stairs and offers him some of the food again.]

[redwhiteandhero]

[Alfred flails a little as he's lifted up. He sure as hell wasn't expecting that.] You're a crazy little dude sometimes, you know that? [He reaches out to accept the offering of food.]

[colonial]

[America smiles a bit as he hands the food over, sitting back down now that no one he likes is in danger of falling into the monster floor. It's a bit of an abrupt change, like at some point America developed some switch in his brain that let him turn on happiness whenever he wanted.]

Even most big countries can't pick up stuff as much as I can! It's my super power!

[redwhiteandhero]

So bein' a country's pretty cool, huh? You get powers and stuff?

[colonial]

I dunno if everybody does. [He hasn't heard of France being able to do anything cool, for example.] But some of us do!

[redwhiteandhero]

I'm gonna move to America someday, y'know. After I'm an auror, and the war's over, maybe... [He pauses, and his face falls somewhat.] After we get out of here, I mean.

[colonial]

[America drinks the juice he brought up.] It'd be really weird if we went home now. [After so long he's not sure he'd even remember how things worked there. Maybe it would come back to him?] Anyway, isn't it all gone?

[That wasn't what he used to believe, but now the whole situation is so distant to him that he's been able to consider it might be true for a while now, as far as he can remember.]

[redwhiteandhero]

But that can't really be true, can it? I mean... at Christmas I even got a care package and all. There's a way to get back there-- they're just messin' with us.

[colonial]

It can be true now and not true if we go back. [America nods as if that makes any sense at all.]
