WHOOPS.
Characters: Merrill and
towerofanimus
Setting: Various places in the tower! She is wandering.
Format: Starting in action, but I can match!
Summary: Merrill is confused and new and exploring. And also running into people, oops.
Warnings: Iiii don't think there will be any?
[Merrill was not expecting anything like this when she woke up. The paralysis bothered her a little, but the moment she could move, she went instantly into explorer mode. Where was Hawke? Did something happen? Were they caught after everything that went down in Kirkwall? She wasn't sure. The first thing she went to was the trunk at the end of her bed-- in it were some things she had from home. She made sure to read the letters too, and... she was pretty alarmed!
She changed into her white armor, instantly more comfortable in that than what she had woken up in. She took out the staff, and put on her rings and the amulet as well-- she didn't know where she was, so she had to be prepared.
... She grabbed the ball of twine, too. It would allow her to find her way back to the room later.
So! Now that she's here and wandering and exploring, she's also somewhat clumsy. Merrill isn't really watching where she's going, so-- anyone want an elf girl to run into them?]

[He is side-eying her so hard right now.]

When we got together. Shouldn't you know these things, Fenris? You were there the whole time.

It was only a matter of time before you followed the other mage into madness, then. I hope you realize there's nothing here you can blow up.

Are you sure you haven't gone mad? Hawke was never with Anders. I would have known if she was.
no subject
This tower may be driving us both mad. Perhaps it will turn out she was with Varric.

[Anyone who would turn down Isabela is clearly not into humans.]
Ah. I don't understand this. The tower has its own dark sorceries, ones that make yours look harmless. Almost harmless.
no subject
What sort of sorcery are you talking about?
no subject
Capturing us, collaring us--
[His face twists in bitterness before he regains control of himself and moves on.]
Telling us our worlds are destroyed, even sending some people back to what looks like their world in ruins. Changing our memories.
And there is something they call a network that lets people in a few different parts of the tower communicate.
no subject
At the mention of the network though, she perks. A way to communicate in different places in the tower? That sounds like the eluvian, although-- she'd be cautious about it. She doesn't want a repeat of what happened with Keeper Marethari to happen to anyone, and she's in a place that she doesn't know. Even if she is curious, it's best to stay cautious.]
A network? Something like that seems useful-- the tower seems rather big, so a way for people to communicate when they're in different places seems convenient. [A pause.] Fenris, do you think Thedas was really destroyed?
no subject
I don't trust it. And neither should you.
[He looks like he's considering saying something more, but checks himself and addresses the next question.]
It's a likely enough outcome of the mage uprisings, isn't it? But...no. I don't think so. Likely or not, Hawke would not allow it.
no subject
[Although-- when he addresses the question of Thedas...] I agree-- even if it were a result of the mage uprisings, I don't think Hawke would have allowed it. She would have fought for Thedas.
no subject
She would have fought, and won.
no subject
Exactly. Hawke wouldn't have accepted a defeat.
