Setting: Workshop.
Format: Starting with Action, but I'll match you.
Summary: Nearly fifty years later and Eridan still sucks at this sewing thing.
Warnings: Heavy handed sexual innuendo, attempts to make your characters uncomfortable, lewd bad jokes, Eridan being as trigger-happy with that gun as ever. Also Eridan being the troll-equivalent of a vampire, so expect him to glow if startled and shamelessly ask if he can bite your characters.

[There's a jadeblood sitting on a workbench, struggling with thread, needle and a really long, red coat. He's grumbling at it, squinting between each stitch and occasionally growling ferally at it. Sunglasses stuck on his hair, which is still black and green, Eridan seems to be slightly absorbed with his task. The short sleeve tshirt he's wearing is not very well suited for the cold, at least not without his coat, but he doesn't seem to mind. He's no longer wearing his sign on it, as it's just plain black with a small detail in yellow lines near the hem. His sign is now on his pants, black as well, stitched in jade along the lower part of his right leg. Shame the whole thing is dirty and slightly stained by blood and things you probably don't want to know the origin of. Rifle is, as always, resting by his side, an easy snatch away.]

Every fuckin' time, I swear...

[He shakes the whole thing in frustration, as he's once again, stabbed the underside of a claw with that needle. You'd think he'd be better at this, given how long he's been here. But nope. Some things just never change.]

Mm, maybe not. After all, our tastes are all too different to be called bad or good on the same level.

[chronomancer]

[Meanwhile, Rei didn't quite understand, even after all these years, the concept of having just one moirail. If she had to speak about very, very best friends who could compliment her perfectly, then she had several for different occasions. This was why she slipped up every now and then.]

Is Jade...is she still here?

[The girl was human, so Rei didn't know if she had gone away already.]

[Eridan laughs.]

Of course she is.

[He grins. If she weren't around he wouldn't be anywhere near sane right now.]

[terreifying]

[Rei sighs in relief.]

Have you tried asking her how many years it's been? She'd have a good sense of time too, wouldn't she?

[chronomancer]

Don't.

[Oh wow, hi there, icy undertone.]

It'll upset her.

[terreifying]

I understand. I won't.

[She can make do with one less subject if it means not upsetting a friend.]

You should probably go bug Dave instead, though.

Okay. After you're done sewing, then.

[Dave. So another human was still alive inside this Tower. Another human connected to time, it seems.]

[Yeah, like he hasn't noticed or anything.]

[terreifying]

Not much. Just the wonky time.

[By messing with her time, the administrators had messed with her memories, her identity. That was what worried her.]

I remember a time when almost all of the humans were gone, you know.

[chronomancer]

[Eridan whistles at that.]

Must've been here for fucking ever, then, 'cause humans are like roaches most of the time.

[terreifying]

They stopped bringing new people in. And those who were in here either got old or became...not human.

[Cyborgs, outright artificial intelligences, magical beasts...those sorts of things.]

[chronomancer]

Huuuuh, if your present's my future that's pretty bleak, hon.

[terreifying]

It's not that bad. I still have a lot of friends!

[It's just that she didn't have as many as she used to have.]

[chronomancer]

[terreifying]

Evil people who still haven't learned a lesson about destroying stuff.

One or two. They're still annoying, though.

[Thankfully, they could keep everything down to just tension.]

Well, things would be boring without them, right? Plus, gotta admire tenacity.

The cleanup is a bitch.

[Especially if they, you know, wrecked an entire floor.]

It tends to be.

[Eridan grins.]

Sometimes it's an unavoidable part of the fun, though.
