They've called her down and forgot why they wanted to
Characters: Ryoji, now in Nyx Avatar form, and you!
Setting: Some variations, take your pick
Format: I'll match your choice
Summary: Five years since Nyx was called down and the damn humans still won't die! So she's reduced to trolling.
Warnings: Likely violence and discussions about death.
[Staircases by the dormitories]
Someone that looks like Ryoji is standing on one of the floor landings, looking up to see how many flights are visible. He appears to be lost in thought, and his form appears to be shimmering a little, going transparent and then visible, and transparent again. Despite this, Ryoji doesn't seem to be afraid or panicked. He just keeps looking up and up, like he's seeing something that isn't there...
And then, suddenly, two pairs of enormous, feathery wings erupt from his back, his hands (now raised) are covered in long white gloves, and then, when he turns... his face...
It's a white mask, something that you may have seen in plays back in the Greek times. There's a wide smile and holes for the eyes... but there are not eyes to see, just dark, consuming blackness.
Persona users will be happy to see that Ryoji's still staying his normal size, but the rest of him is still extremely unsettling.
[Floor 47/other monster floors]
Ryoji, now revealed to be Nyx, spends a lot of time on the more dangerous floors. Who really knows why? Perhaps to be with her own kind, perhaps to look for a way to control them, or perhaps to destroy them, find something to end if this world won't. Nyx can be seen on the forty-seventh floor, whispering at the curtains, and then nodding, seeming to understand. If she hears anything from the nearby staircase, she'll be off to investigate, exploring some of the other monster-infested areas.
[Cafeteria]
Nyx usually avoids this place until the evening, when she's so bored that even the monsters seem monotonous. She then takes a seat in a far corner, watching as everyone comes and goes, occasionally tormenting them. She'll whisper something too quiet to be heard yet still unsettling, or she'll invade your mind, discover who you've seen die before your very eyes, maybe project a nightmare of that to you or to another. Or maybe she'll just stay silent, but give you the strangest urge to go leap from the Tower's ledge.

Floor 47, placeholder because con things call to me
Death wait he isn't Fuukasomeone there is what made him do so....Oh. Well this didn't remind him of something he's seen a long, long time ago (Yu it's only been nine years it isn't that long). When was it again, when he'd forged a mental connection with the leader of Strega? Well, he'd seen something akin to it at least.
He is getting too old for this shit.]
She cancelled again? [Yes. Yes he is making that
somewhat seriousjoke. Shh.]Have fun!
As usual, more pressing matters needed to be attended to. So she is rescheduling.
[And leaving Nyx all alone. Again. If she would have wanted that, she would have just stayed on the moon.]
I did and then had the problem of falling from the face of RP whoops
Perhaps it won't take as long this time.
[Sigh. The "sister plz" and "I apologize for my younger sibling" is growing a little too loud for his liking, though he knows the whole not wanting to be alone thing.]
You mean like I did? orz
[Basically, Nyx is saying that she doesn't buy your pathetic human optimism. She's still alone, and after spending years in the Tower, she's finding that something about it severely bothers her.]
Yeah, pretty much.
Would you like some company? [He ain't no
aliengod and he is doing his best not to let Izanagi become any more active than he has become after the past decade, but still... at least he offers because he know how much it bothers anyone to be this alone for so long.];;
[Cafeteria, because I am horrible]
[She shook the memory away, hesitantly approaching the ancient thing.]
It's not like you to be around here.
yes, yes you are.
But no, she just watches the memory like a movie, blankly observing as Ryoji pleads with everyone to kill him, up until the very end.
When the memory disappears, she shrugs, regarding Nanako with the same wide grin.]
I am free to go wherever I wish. It is at least one thing my power can accomplish.
8D
Yeah, considering there's not much else you can do while you're stuck here with the rest of us.

I can still do many things. My initial duty, however, is still unachievable. For now.

[Talking back to Nyx probably wasn't one of her better ideas, but she didn't like her. Not. One. Bit.]
As long as you're here, onii-chan and I will make sure you don't do anything, even if the stupid admins let you.

47;
And then he sees the unnatural wings and he wonders briefly, very briefly, if this is perhaps something that the sheets had been hiding. That thought passes quickly, though. There are plenty of abnormal-looking residents in the tower, after all.]
—Excuse me. [A partial apology in case this person had been doing something, and a precursor to his usual "you shouldn't move the curtains" warning.]

She stands there, examining the other for a moment, before speaking.]
And why do you wish to speak with me, Oz?
no subject
Ah, um— Sorry! This is pretty rude of me, but I don't seem to remember seeing you before. ["How do you know my name", in essence.]
no subject
[If Oz looks away from the bizarre face for a moment, he may notice that the clothing of this figure's look exactly like Ryoji's, besides the white gloves.
no subject
I think I would remember a face like that. [If this is his roommate and not some trick of the tower, it's still not a Ryoji he's ever met before. Between his steel-trap memory and the vague things he had heard when Ryoji first woke up, he's already starting to piece things together.] May I have a name to go with it?

Cafeteria
So he observed and stay cautious. Until hunger called and drove him toward the cafeteria for food. If anything dangerous was going to happen, he need to have all the energy he can get.
One step into the room and he paused, his gaze slowly scanning the room. Something inside of him was reacting. The incomplete fragment of Death, sealed inside him, sensed something more complete in this room. It's enough for Minato to feel it.
no subject
Well, if she can't kill his body, perhaps she'll just kill his mind. She projects a strange desire into Minato, trying to take hold of his thoughts and steer them towards death.
no subject
Behind his caution and curiosities was Minato's deeper worries. The knowledge of what he have seen back in his ruined world, when he's the only living being alive and walking. Even deeper and buried than that was his sense of responsibilities, and his fear of letting down everyone when they needed him.
Simply put, failure.
Despite everything, the young leader keeps on walking instead of letting his fears chained him. Even if it's very hard to do.
Very hard sometimes.
no subject
And wouldn't it be so much easier if Minato did just... give up? No more fear, no more responsibilities crushing him, suffocating his spirit. No more need to keep walking on, despite all the sadness.
And it's not failure. Minato's not seeing it through to the end, seeing if he wins or loses. He's just... stopping in the middle. It would be so much easier. So much more peaceful...
Nyx continues to put those little whispers of doubt and death into his mind. Wouldn't that be nice? To have Minato desire death, be unable to die... become just as twisted as Nyx had. Excellent.

He's learning to open himself up to his friends, more than he did before his transfer. Reaching out, being with people he cares about, things he used to keep himself distant from. But SEES changed that.
His friends was the driving force behind his actions and was his silent hope in the tower. If his world wasn't destroyed, he would just get back there and continue on... If only his world wasn't destroyed and he saw their corpses.
Some small part of him wondered if he'll die and them once his ration of food ran out. But of course, Minato ended up being brought back before that could happen. Back to the tower where death was not permenant.
Minato shook his head. Such dark thoughts before he can even start getting his food.

Cafeteria (Because, of course, this one needs more angst in his life.)
They might not really be that hard for him to kill anymore, but he's finding that letting them get close before the kill gives him at least a little thrill which is more than most things nowadays.
And so, he doesn't really notice the figure in the corner that he probably passes far closer to than he should. It's just one more shadow in a tower full of them.]
Angst for everyone!
So, as punishment, she'll attempt to prod Lancer's mind, discover something to use in her revenge.]
Sorry for the TL;DR! I dunno how well you know his cannon.
But after a few moments of prodding, images start to flicker at the corners of his mind. A time--long, long ago. A man--his best friend, the closest thing he had to a brother. A gift--once lost and now returned by the tower. A celebration--
And the pursuit that would come to define his whole life.
He'd had no choice but to follow the geis she'd laid on him. His honor and his lord's life had depended on it. It had been Lancer's own curse that had caused her to fall in love with him, anyway. They had all agreed. Oscar had agreed.
And they had all mourned because they knew there was only one way this could end.
Fionn mac Cumhaill, his oath-sworn master and lord, lost to anger and pain would kill his most loyal knight over something he couldn't control.
Lancer accepted this, but it didn't mean he hadn't feared for his friends. Those who stood beside him even when his master sent the Fianna after him. Those who protected him when Fionn himself came for him.
And he feared for Oscar who was Fionn's grandson, but still chose to stand by Lancer instead of by his own blood.
What kept Fionn from turning his anger on Oscar as well?]
I know nothing, so this is much appreciated! ^^
[Nyx speaks now, watching Lancer with a steady gaze, wondering how he'll react, what he'll do... hoping it will be something interesting. The rest of the Tower fails to amuse her now, so it falls to the residents to satisfy her.]
Np, if you need more info, just poke me on Plurk @ NekoSandy or drop me a PM.
After over a thousand years in the tower, Lancer isn't surprised at anything anymore. He is, however, feeling a completely different emotion.]
Who are you to ask those questions? Those memories are mine! Not yours for the viewing!
[His voice is arrogant. His eyes are angry. But, both hold onto the fear that those memories have made him remember.
The answer is he doesn't know. He doesn't know why Fionn never turned on Oscar. At least, had never turned on him while Lancer had still been alive.
For all he knew, after Fionn had let him bleed out on that hillside, he had turned on Oscar next.]
/adds but doesn't have any questions :3
Oh, you are evil. I like it! :-D
I have an evil muse, I'm gonna abuse it before I go back to playing woobies XD
And this one seems to think by being a jerk he can escape being an angst baby. Wrong! LOL!
Nice try, bro, but Nyx knows all.
(no subject)
I am sorry I am so horrible
Oh no, I AM the horrible one. Nice try there, Nyx. Try harder!
God dammit why doesn't anyone just DIE? XD
Because there's no angst in that, Silly!
