Characters: Homura Akemi & You
Setting: Floor Twenty-Five
Format: Whatever you're most comfortable with!
Summary: now-24 year old Homura Akemi thinks that 10 years have passed in the tower. To ease the pain she has set up a picnic for her friends and invited everyone to come... at least, she thinks she did.
Warnings: Cuteness oh no. Feel free to threadjack/mingle!
Floor Twenty-Five | Tea Party
It had taken a bit of work to organize the party, but Homura was used to that by now. Ten years of watching Mami skillfully prepare their tea and desserts had given Homura plenty of time to learn the ropes. Though she did occasionally set up with Mami, it was very rare that she started a party. So today was certainly a treat.
Blankets had been laid out on the springtime grass, collected over the years or simply stripped from Homura's bed. She had prepared a few plates of cookies, cupcakes, and a sponge cake, along with the standard tea that was expected at tea parties. Though Homura was a bit more friendly now, assured and soothed by Madokami's confidence in a bright future, she was still not the type to enjoy parties for herself. But this party wasn't for Homura; it was for Mami Tomoe. Ten years was a long time to be stuck in this dreadful place. The megucas had certainly gone through tough times ( at least, Homura thought she had gone through 10 years of horror ) and it was necessary to heal their spirits as well as their bodies.
Homura stepped back from her set preparations, then turned her gaze upward towards what must be a fake sky. Ten years since she could say she'd seen "real" sunshine... She shook her head, turning to face the staircase as she eagerly waited for the others to arrive. To make sure this was perfect, Homura had gone as far as announcing the party over the network... but unfortunately, she only thought that. This could end up a very lonely tea party.
( ooc; that is to say, Homura supposedly announced the party earlier in her AU. Before the tower's event actually started... Being meguca is suffering. )
Floor One | Preparations
Before and during the party itself, Homura could be found in the kitchen. Before it was for obvious reasons; using what ingredients she could find to prepare desserts and teas. But during the party itself, Homura was baking extra batches or preparing new tea brews when supplies ran short upstairs. She's quite busy, but skillful and open to a bit of help.

Thankfully, Sayaka checks the network everyday. She's done that for 20 years, without missing a day. That's how she caught wind of the announcement about a certain tea party. Having spent most of her time patrolling or fighting off threats, a while of resting would surely do good to her. It's also a plus that it has been organized in one of her favourite floors.
She shows up a few minutes before the estabilished time. Without her sword, for once. ]
Good afternoon. Is this where the party is at?
Floor 1, before the actual party if that's ok! ;; v ;;
Not entirely, of course. Usually, it was Mami who arranged the tea parties in the meadow, but those parties were usually for Puella Magi only. Today this whole thing was Homura's doing and she was making it public to everyone. She couldn't help but smile a bit as she saw Homura working hard as usual. Grabbing an apron, Mami tied it around herself and stepped forward. ]
It looks like you could use some help, Akemi-chan. [ She dropped the -san a few months ago, during their ten years of being here. ]
floor 1
[Rei had taken to calling her that after several years of associating with each other.]
I expected to see you in the workshop and not here.
floor twenty-five
She grins as she steps onto the floor, waving to Homura.]
Yo, Homura!
[She approaches quickly, eyeballing the cupcakes and cookies and cake, seeming to have more interest in them than Homura herself. She isn't sure what her expectations had been for this picnic, but she didn't expect her friend to go this far! There were so many of the sweets that she loves so much are so hard to find in this tower, Kyoko's practically drooling. She may have matured over the years, but some thing never change.]
Woah, it all looks so good! Did you seriously make all of this yourself?
Floor One
"Hi, Homura-san!" Then she sees all the desserts she's making. "Is there a party?"

[ Homura nods her head to confirm. She's glad to see Sayaka, since she's got quite a bit of respect for the idol. It's sad that her dreams haven't been able to come true... that her idol carrier is smashed.
For now, at least, she can offer some happiness in the form of tea and desserts. ]
Mm, it is. I hope you'll be joining us?
always okay!
[ It was as close to '-chan' as Homura could bring herself right now. Even if they had become much closer over the past ten years, it was hard not to respect Mami. If anything, Homura's admiration had increased after a period of it falling to new lows. Mami's strength was showing again, and Homura appreciated how contagious it could be. ]
Thank you very much, but you don't need to. This is... [ Meant to be a surprise, fsgvsdgds ] ... I wanted you to relax and enjoy this time.

[ She's pleased to see Rei none the less. It still feels strange to be called to familiarly... not because she doesn't like it, but because Homura had forgotten how much she longed for these close relationships. ]
It's nice to see you, Rei. I'd be honored if you came to the party as well? It's public this time.

Mm. You could say I have been hoarding ingredients for the past few months. I did not want to burden anyone.

[She shakes her head.]
Not now. I have a new study I need to do. Speaking of that, do you want to help really quickly? It'll just be a few questions.
Tea party!!
It looks really good.

[ She frowned. This was a lot of work and Mami would feel bad if she just walked away. The frown was replaced with a smile. ]
Don't be silly. You've been working hard, and you deserve some help. So please, allow me to lend you a hand.
Floor 25! //GRABBY HANDS at this chance for CR!
Especially today when she finds what looks like preparations for a tea party, with enough goodies for half the Tower at the very least.
And since Rise has no problem approaching or striking up conversations with complete strangers, she'll be headed your way, Homura. :D]
Whoa! This looks amazing! Who's the party for?
/throws self at
[ Luckily, Homura has enough confidence to not be frightened by this kind of friendliness. In fact, she is able to return it with her own... slightly mellow, but certainy friendly, attitude. ]
Mami Tomoe-sempai. You're welcome to join us, if you'd like.
no subject
[ Homura nods her head respectfully. She's sitting on a blanket and goes as far as not only patting the spot next to her from pouring a fresh cup of tea. ]
Care to join me? Even if it's always here, the blue sky is quite refreshing.

[Rei draws a folded piece of paper and a pen from her pocket.]
no subject
... Twenty-four? [ She thinks Rei is asking her age. ]
no subject
[But even asking for that, it seems like quite a short span.]
no subject
[ She's a bit reluctant to even say it. ]
It has been ten years. Why do you ask?
no subject
[She mutters to herself as she puts down Homura's name and years spent.]
I'm asking because others remember differently.
no subject
[ Homura's more serious attitude falls into place. That is strange, and strange things often threaten the happiness and peace of her friends. ]
Please elaborate.

[She is one of those who remembers the centuries.]
Also, there are those who remember their roommates being different as well. Even for those who remember the same span of time, their versions of events tend to differ.
no subject
Thank you for the invitation, Homura-san.
[She goes ahead and takes the filled cup and sips lightly. The aroma was refreshing. The sky may not be real but it was indeed refreshing.]
It is. How you been?
no subject
[ She's gotten over that phase at the very least. Though her smile doesn't always seem genuine... and she heads over to sit down, the elegance of her old idol days not completely lost. ]
Who else is coming?
/catches and spins around~ X'D <3
or so she thinks--Rise doesn't know the 'wishes' post was Mami's...]Are you sure? I haven't met Tomoe-san, after all, and I don't want to intrude...
[...It really does look great, though... (°¬°)]
no subject
Heh, you really think something like that'd be a burden? C'mon, you oughta know better than that by now, Homura! If I'd known I would've helped out, y'know.
