Fourth Mission

Setting: Anytime during the event
Format: Both are fine. I'll follow.
Summary: After 10 years in the tower, Rolo (now 27 and Lelouch's height) has actually met people during his time here who truly cared about him for who he was and not for how they could use him. He'd even managed to find love in a fellow assassin and was now happily married. He's still rather jealously possessive but not as much as he once was and has on the whole become nicer, kinder and more 'human'. He is now capable of compassion and empathy, though still deadly as he was now able to wield two blades instead of one. Though he has to limit his Geass usage due to his much weakened heart. Replies will be from stopsyourtime

[Floor 28; Music room]
Rolo spends a lot a time in the music room these days. Lelouch was a distant brother but still he was willing to teach Rolo how to play the piano, and over the years, Rolo has become rather good at it due to his need to exceed at any given task. He enjoys it a lot though for it gives him something to do and focus on. He might be heard playing this. (No special reason, mun just likes it! XD)

[Floor 1; Kitchen]
Rolo can be found cooking in the kitchen. He's become quite a good cook, thanks to his brother's occasional guidance and hours of poring over cookery books. This is another thing he enjoys now. He likes cooking for his wife~ That does smell good, doesn't it?

[Dorm hallways; night]
Rolo can be seen wiping the bloody blades of his two hunting knives on the corpses of the monsters he's just slaughtered before sheathing them in the holsters on his hips. Then he clutches at his heart a little and has to sit down to rest... Guess he shouldn't have used his Geass after all...

"You'll worry your wife like that..."

A very familiar voice has broken the silence. Kirika merged from the darkness with her army vest on. She walked from behind Rolo and knelled down with her arms around his neck. She held him close with her head on top of his. She knew how much those Geass were an advantage to him, but that meant taken a toll from his heart. "Rest for a whlie," as she'll watch his back.

"... Kirika..."

He closed his eyes and leaned back against her as he rested. "I'm alright. It's not that bad."

[carrythesin]

Kirika held Rolo tighter when he said that. "I know..." She knew he'd be careful but at the same time she was unsure. As Rolo rested, Kirika stroked his locks.

[stopsyourtime]

He rested against her for a moment longer then he started to get up. "It's not safe to sit out here."

[carrythesin]

It would of been fine if Rolo rested there. On the back, she had her handgun strapped and ready. Even though some bullets didn't bring monsters down quickly enough, Kirika had learned other methods to use. One monster lurked on one side of them when Rolo spoke. Kirika pulled her handgun out and shot both eyes with two shots. The creature roared as Kirika helped Rolo up as well. Nope, no fear.

Still he got up, leaning on her a bit. He didn't really like lingering in the hallways for longer than he had to. He knew Kirika had his back and that she could handle the monsters up still... there might be the tiny matter of pride...

[carrythesin]

Good thing Kirika was good at making up for his pride. Before she could guide him, one more shot to the monster before it died. Kirika helped Rolo wrapping one arm around his waist. "Should we go?"

Kitchen

As chaos wandered into the kitchen for some food, he smelled something delicious cooking..and sensed Rolo..but this sense was a little different. Rolo himself looked older. He must have been part of the Administrators experiments this month. He smiled and walked towards the chef.

"Good morning, Rolo. Do you need any help?"

[stopsyourtime]

Rolo smiled as he heard a familiar voice. "Good morning, chaos! I'm fine. I can manage. I'm just making something simple."

((I'm guessing chaos would look the same even if it were 10 years later...?))

You guessed correctly! chaos's appearance hasn't changed in six thousand years..

[lightofhumanity]

At that, chaos nodded and made sure that he was standing in a place that wouldn't interfere with Rolo's cooking.

"Alright then. What are you cooking, if you do not mind my asking?"

[stopsyourtime]

"Just some breakfast for Kirika and I. I'm making pancakes. Would you like some?"

And is that a wedding ring on this older Rolo's finger?

[lightofhumanity]

It is, but chaos isn't going to comment on it. He's not in the habit of pointing out things like that unless he really has to.

"If there are any extras, I would be happy if you would let me have them."

[stopsyourtime]

"I'm still just making the batter. I can easily make more. How many do you want?" And he's already reaching out for more flour and eggs.

floor 28

[stillchainsawing]

[ Urotsuki still comes here often too, even after all this time. Both to listen to music and play some herself.. and maybe see some people. At least there's a familiar face this time.

But her behaviour still hasn't changed a thing compared to ten years ago. Even now she's just standing there and staring again as Rolo plays, not saying a thing. ]

[stopsyourtime]

[Rolo is used to the behaviour of his friend by now. He smiles as he feels her watching him and without turning from the piano, he asks.]

Would you like to join in, Urotsuki?

[stillchainsawing]

Yes. [ A small nod. ]

.. I mean.. if you wouldn't mind, that is. [ She's still pretty much the same as ever, huh? There's something slightly more mature about her demeanour, but it's not too much. ]

[stopsyourtime]

I don't mind at all. It's more fun having someone to play with.

[stillchainsawing]

Hmm. I think so too.. it's sort of lonely to play by yourself, so that's why I like it here. The instruments already play by themselves, so it means you're never entirely alone.

[stopsyourtime]

That's true.

Floor 28 for optimum confusion

Suzaku had by this point worked out that something strange was going on. People seemed confused, claiming they had been in the tower for years. Nunnally had vanished...

He heard the music and peered in the room to see who was playing, so many of the tower could. He blinked.

And blinked again.

That was Rolo.

Rolo who had grown, Rolo who was tall and playing the piano.

Suzaku stared.

Rolo kept on playing, then he turned to look round when he felt someone watching him.

"Ah, Suzaku nii-san!" Then he frowned a bit. "... why do you... look so much younger...?"

[swordofzero]

Did Rolo just call him brother? Suzaku blinked. Tall Rolo calling him brother and playing the Piano...

"Did you just wake up here?"

Because this had to be a lookalike from a different world. After all if there was a world where Euphemia didn't die there had to be one where Rolo didn't... right?

Didn't explain the brother part though.

Or the piano.

Rolo was silent for a moment. Did they alter Suzuku's memory or something?

"No. I've been here for 10 years now like you have, Suzaku nii-san."

[swordofzero]

Ten years... Suzaku blinked, "I've only been here a year and a bit, you haven't yet been here a year yet..."

Ten years... It would explain the height, but Suzaku hadn't grown any and... It hadn't been ten years.

"... but that isn't possible. It really has been 10 years already. ... Everyone else I've met so far has been through the same... You can't remember anything at all?"
