~1st Solo~
Characters: Kurt // open to everyone
Setting: Room 01-14, lower floors
Format: Action
Summary: Kurt has awoken in his room. He is not best pleased.
Warnings: None, at the moment~
[Well, it is. And at the moment, standing and examining the orange collar in great detail is pretty much all that's keeping Kurt from panicking.
The world's been destroyed? That's impossible. It's the only world there is, so if it's destroyed, then where is Kurt now? Some sort of afterlife, reserved for cynical atheistic teenage boys?]
At least I'll have something in common with the people here. [Kurt mumbles, giving up on trying to figure out the orange (ug) collar's purpose. After a moment of rummaging through his trunk, he finds his knee-length leopard print cardigan, which is at least somewhat better than the skintight white jumpsuit. He wraps it tightly around himself, hesitating at the door for a moment before poking his head out and looking up and down the hall.]
...hello? Anyone there?

Dorm levels
[And Hidetoshi, who had rounding the corner of the hallway and walking down it, notices the new face poking his head cautiously out of one of the dormitory doors and looking up and down the hall before calling out uncertainly. That's... Another new arrival, he assumes. So, Kurt, there's a fellow teenager with an orange collar of his own clamped around his neck, dark gray hair and dressed in a school uniform pausing before continuing to walk towards you. Wryly;]
Why yes, there is somebody here.
Re: Dorm levels
You scared me. [It's slightly more accusation than statement, but only slightly.]
Dorm levels
Really? Sorry. [Yeah, not exactly bothered by that vaguely accusatory tone of voice or kinda exaggerated gesture of shock, just acknowledging he said it at all. Without waiting for a response to that, he continues;] I take you're a new arrival?
Dorm levels
Dorm levels
Well, I'd say welcome to the Tower of Animus but this isn't a very welcoming place.
Re: Dorm levels
[Kurt is going to slump onto the floor now, not without quite a bit of melodrama.]
Dorm levels
No, apparently our worlds are being annihilated all the time. [Do you hear his skepticism regarding this so-called fact. There was evidence that proved it correct, like people returning to their ruined home worlds and then coming back to the Tower with confirmation of the desolation, but he preferred to hold onto a bit of optimism.] You received that letter from the administration, correct? They claim they saved us from the destruction of our worlds, and brought us here.
Re: Dorm levels
...obviously this is a social experiment of some kind.
Dorm levels
[Hidetoshi crosses his arms across his chest, his stance firm but largely passive. It goes without saying this was ridiculous, but he had been used to thinking of the entire affair as mundane in a sense.] Fine. I've already informed you, but I will repeat myself; we are currently within the Tower of Animus, a nasty place where the administration runs monthly unethical experiments on the population of residents and feeds us terrible food. I highly doubt you're from whatever dimension it's in.
... [Newbies. :|] Incorrect.

Dormitory floors
[Kariya limps toward Kurt, turning a corner and moving toward the sound of his voice. He doesn't present the prettiest of pictures, the left side of his face badly scarred and slack, his left eye pale and sightless, but he's smiling.
Upon viewing Kurt, he notes the jumpsuit beneath the cardigan, the worried expression. He raises his hand in a quick wave of greeting.]
You must be new. I'm Kariya.
Dormitory floors
But he waves back, awkwardly, still hovering in the doorway.] Charmed. New where, exactly? This...is not Vogue.
no subject
It's another world. But don't believe the letters. Our worlds can't have been destroyed. [No matter what, Kariya remains 100% certain of that fact.]
I'm sorry you were brought here. It's a dangerous place. But there are kind people here. You won't be alone.
no subject
[Kurt swallows hard -- he's been trying to forget about that letter -- and manages a smile.] Well, that's a relief. My world is where I keep all my things.
I'm Kurt Hummel, by the way.
no subject
[In spite of the bad news he has, he returns Kurt's smile readily, glad to see Kurt can at least keep his spirits up a little.] Me too. I believe there's a way we can get back to them. To all our things.
It's nice to meet you, Kurt. I'm Kariya Matou. [He gives his full name this time. It's not as if most people assign any significance to the name Matou, so it doesn't matter.] I wish we were meeting under better circumstances.
no subject
[Kurt nods slightly, mumbling the name under his breath, getting used to it.] Me too...but this place doesn't seem too terrible. There's a...floor. And a very nice ceiling too, I noticed. And nothing is trying to dissect us.
...right?
no subject
[He frowns, not knowing how much to reveal all at once. It can be overwhelming. He'd like to soften the blow as much as possible.
He hesitates when Kurt mentions being dissected. It's a telling pause.]
There are some good things here, but it's a very dangerous place. They experiment on us.

Well. At least I'll never be bored?

A-Ah...I'm...hello. I was wondering...could you tell me...where I am?
no subject
Oh, you must be new.
[Is it that time of the month already? Time is getting a little hard to keep track of, for her. She shrugs, arms hanging listlessly by her sides.]
You're in the Tower. ...which isn't terribly descriptive if you ask me, but it's exactly what it is. Did you read the letters?
no subject
I...yes. I did.
...it can't be true. That's...it's impossible.
no subject
She shakes her head at him.]
Eh, don't pay attention to them. They're probably lying anyway. The people in charge here are not the nicest folk you'll ever meet.
