[Closed] Finally some good ole Ancestor/Descendent time
Characters: Signless and Karkat
Setting:Signless' Room 01-14
Format: Whateva'
Summary:Karkat and Signless are gonna catch up, perhaps talk about feels. Ya know mutant problems.
Warnings: Umm cussing, R/PG-13
[It had been a while since the older troll had gotten some well deserved rest. It proved that Karkat's suggestion was for the better. However, it wasn't just sunshine and sleepy Z's that followed. Signless had struggled to sleep. Sure he had gotten a decent amount of hours, but his mind was still plagued with unrest. He found that every time he closed his eyes, his mind would be plagued with thoughts of his departed quadrant mate. Though it wasn't simply the sorrow he felt from such her loss. In addition his recent feelings that boarded on pale for a certain blue blood.
After awhile sleep wasn't going to be an option. He woke up to blankets tossed and thrown about, plus a pillow that was clawed beyond something recognizable. It was confusing to say the least how something so minuscule could upset him so and disturb his regular sleeping hobbits. Now he would just have to sleep without a pillow and he hoped that his unrest would subside soon.]

I am just not certain what to do about the current situation.

[ Karkat, for once, isn't all defensive in the guy's presence. actually a little more relaxed than he had been in the past. it has more to do with the fact that at least the moron had admitted Karkat was right, in part. funny how congenial he can be when he's not being torn down left and right. ]
Break it down into one thing at a time? What did you do when shit hit the whirling device back in your era?

[A pause.]
I think this situation is that of my own problem. It is one simple problem and thus making it complicated. The thought of a moirail, it is not something I am used to.

[He takes another sip of his tea and frowns at the cool temperature.]
He has become a good friend of mine, during my stay here. I do find myself worrying about what my best friend will think, if we are to form a quadrant. However I will let myself be concerned by it, if and when it happens.

Not to mention you really should talk to the Zahhak about it. People have feelings and apprehensions, even if he is flashing the diamonds all over the place without regard to any sort of unspoken PDA rules.

[A beat.]
The problem with that is, he is hard to speak to.

[ seriously. Karkat wonders, though, if mutant bloods and Captors are a THING. maybe he should ask the cherry red Kanaya and the yellow Equius some questions regarding that theory. ]
What I can't believe is... Here you go, wandering about the planet. Preaching. There's the ever looming threat of being captured at any point... Yet you're finding ONE blue blood difficult to speak to. Irony.

[A Pause.]
In a way it is ironic. I wish there was a simple solution to the problem.

What a way you must've went.

Perhaps I should ask him further about my death? It might be in my benefit to understand exactly what happened on that day.

[Sigh.]
Perhaps if I did not know of it, but my curiosity gets the better of me. He might know of what happened after my death that brought you into being. While I knew of your hatching and prophesied it. I can only assume the events that took place leading up to it. There are to many questions left unanswered.

The point is, only ask if you're really prepared for the answers. What good is it to know all of that shit when you can't do a damn thing to change it? Maybe you won't like what you have to hear.

I feel that I am prepared. to be quite honest I do not delight in only hearing a story. The very words that she spoke of, were a shock to me. The initial reaction has passed and I have come to terms with my death. Now I only wish to know what I can about it.

Kankri, there's a difference between spiteful and vengence-like wrath and righteous fury. One is likely to be detrimental to a message like yours and the other? That honestly seems to be more your style. It's not souring to be goddamn compassionate.

I'll reserve my "I told you so" for a later date, then.
