answers and questions [open]
Characters: Dax, Riki, Jason, and Zo; open
Setting: cafeteria, after lunch, February 10
Format: either
Summary: Some of the administrators answer questions.
Warnings: possible language, possible violence
This question and answer session was obviously hastily-planned. Ruana isn't here, but the others are, though for the most part they don't look quite at their best. Zo looks half asleep and distracted, having slid his chair close enough to the wall that he can lean on it to catch a bit of extra sleep in the middle of this session. Jason, usually improbably neat for his often messy, bloody profession looks wrinkled and tired, like he's been spending one too many nights in surgery. Dax looks entirely exhausted, and every time the lights in the cafeteria flicker that exhaustion only seems to grow worse as he looks more concerned. Only Riki seems himself--but then again, he's always been stoic and silent, so reading him in general is a difficult task. It's Dax who speaks once enough people are assembled.
"Greetings, residents--I'm sure you know the four of us by now. And guests, welcome--you probably don't know of us. I'm Dax, and these are Riki, Jason, and Zo." Dax gestures to each one in turn. "We are four of the administrators of this Tower. As you may have guessed, we weren't exactly planning on visitors, and you weren't brought through the same channels. Still, we thought this would be a good time to answer a few questions. With the network--down--we have opted to speak to you in person."
"If you try to attack us, you'll regret it," Jason says from his seat, and while Dax looks sidelong at him neither man can seem to muster the energy for a proper verbal sparring.
"Okay, the floor is open to questions," Dax says, just barely managing a smile. "We will answer what we can."

"I see. Is there any way to raise the success, and if so, is there any way we residents could help? I know you are doing all you can..but there are several people here who would be more than happy to assist you, Dax."
He then turned to Zo with a small smile.
"And are you saying that since we are not acknowledging our deaths that we cannot die?"
That would be similar to how chaos first obtained a physical body..but creating a physical body was a bit different than how you would destroy his.

Zo, meanwhile, squirmed on his seat. "It's like if you take a picture of a bubble before it gets popped. The bubble still pops, but if you could take the picture somewhere else and pull the bubble out of the picture the bubble would still be there 'cause it doesn't know it's popped."
no subject
chaos kepts smiling at Zo as he responded, but this was an..interesting response. Was he saying that they were all clones? But..that couldn't be quite right either. Wilhelm and Allen would still be destroyed if their universe was. He could die and still have his universe function..but Wilhelm couldn't.
"That is an interesting comparison. However..what would happen if you pulled the bubble someplace else, but it could not exist if the previous place did not? Then what would happen?"
no subject
Dax responded after Zo this time--he'd been lost in thought before. "I'll see what I can do in March. I'll have more control then."
no subject
chaos then turned to Zo, a gentle smile on his face. However, despite the smile, chaos was thinking.
"I see..however, we know the places where we existed. So..what would happen if a bubble who did know the place it existed and would pop if that place vanished kept going somewhere else by your method?"

"That is alright. Thank you for telling me, Zo. Hopefully you can get some rest later. It looks like you haven't gotten much rest."
