The Love Spot Has Been Activated!

Characters: Tohko Amano and you for the first two prompts, the third is closed to Tohko and Diarmuid.
Setting: Floor fifteen, the cafeteria, and then dorm room 04-16. Occurs on the twelfth.
Format: I'm starting in prose, but I'll match you!
Summary: After getting mercy murdered, Tohko tries to calm down and deal with some feelings..while also dealing with being affected by Diarmuid's love spot.
Warnings: Will be updated as things pop up.

As Tohko entered the fifteenth floor, she sighed to herself as she thought about what had happened the past few days. Ganon had cursed her, Lancer had killed her to get her feet back to normal..and..somehow, she had fallen in love with Diarmuid.

She knew about Diarmuid's curse. After all, she was a book girl, and while the love spot was in a different spot than she was expecting it, it was there nonetheless. So, any feelings of love she might have could be fake. Plus..she had liked Enoch awhile back. It was weird to start thinking about another guy so suddenly after being rejected by the first, wasn't it?

..But, maybe it wasn't. And, even if it was, Tohko's whole life could be called strange, sot that probably didn't matter. All that mattered was how Diarmuid would take it, and if she could even tell him at all. After all, having a curse like that hurt him, and it would be hard for him to accept anyone else into his heart while knowing about that curse.

Perhaps..she would give him one small test to see if it would be safe to tell him. After all, one couldn't ask someone to love them without that person knowing what they were loving.

Such is what Tohko thought about as she started hammering two boxes together. Feel free to bother her as she works and break her out of that train of thought!

After she finished hammering together the two boxes, Tohko carried them down to the cafeteria and smiled to herself as she put napkins on the bottom of each one and filled them with chocolates. This was where she and Diarmuid had their cooking lesson, and where she had fallen in love with him. Or maybe it was when he saved her from the mermaids. It was a string of small things that made her love him.

Or so she thought. Sadly, she was just affected by Diarmuid's curse, but she had no way of knowing that. Feel free to bother her as she fills up her boxes.

After loading up the two boxes and putting a note in one, Tohko headed off for dorm room 4-16. Politely, she knocked on the door.

"Diarmuid? Lancer? Are either of you in?"

"Diarmuid? That's a heck of a name," she said.

"Is there some place we can get chocolate here?" she asked. "I guess I can't really make any, but I'd feel bad if I didn't at least try to give some to my friends that are here."

"Oh, uh, that reminds me. Is there someone named Yu Narukami here?" she asked, innocently.

"It's an old Irish name." That was all Tohko would say on that subject. She wasn't sure if Diarmuid would like someone blabbing about what he actually was, even if he had introduced himself to her. After all, he had known that she knew about the Holy Grail Wars.

However, Tohko smiled and pointed at the fridge.

"Look in there! There's quite a bit of chocolate you can give to your friends. And I haven't seen Yu here..but your boyfriend might be here."

Yes, Tohko knew about that.

"Oh cool!" she said, excited that she'd at least get to give basic chocolates to her friends. "Oh, but Yu-senpai isn't my boyfriend, he's--"





Wait.

"Um...wait. Is the me here dating the Yu here?" she asked, tentatively.

Tohko couldn't help but chuckle a little at that.

"I'm not sure, to be honest. It's possible, but I haven't seen the you I know here, so I don't know. But hopefully things are going well for the Yu you know."

[celebrity_commentator]

That sentence should not be that confusing when they're both technically probably speaking Japanese.

"Er, right. Um...but if Yu or I or any of the Investigation Team is here, I should probably go see them."

[tohko_amano]

And to Tohko, it wasn't confusing at all.

"It probably would be nice if you saw them again..but what's the Investigation Team? A group you had with your friends back home?"

[celebrity_commentator]

"That's what my friends from Inaba and I called ourselves...," Rise said.

Talking about Personas was one thing, but the murder case? That would take a while, and a lot of it was technically illegal. "It's because we were investigating the world where Personas and Shadows exist," she half-told the truth.

At that, Tohko nodded. "That does seem to make sense..but didn't Shadows attract the attention of the police or anything?"

[celebrity_commentator]

"Well, only certain people could get to the world where Shadows existed...," she said. "You pretty much had to be brought or put there by someone who already could go there."

[tohko_amano]

At that, Tohko nodded.

"Ah, alright then. I suppose that makes sense. What was the world they lived like? I'm guessing it based it's appearance upon the people that wandered in?"

[celebrity_commentator]

"Yeah, actually. And the parts between where people showed up had this TV studio theme, like a backstage," she said.

"And everything was really foggy. I think that was a metaphor for illusions hiding the truth or something."

[tohko_amano]

Tohko looked a little puzzled at the mention of music. "That's a little odd..but I suppose that makes some sense.

And it could be a metaphor for that..but it could also symbolize how hard it is to recognize that the different masks you wear are masks sometimes."

[celebrity_commentator]

She meant a visual theme, but isn't the kind of person precise enough to clarify that to someone's narrative voice.

"My problem was I didn't get that the 'masks' were still me," Rise admitted.

"Did the me here ever tell you about our idol career?"

Tohko smiled and nodded.

"She said that you had trouble accepting that the idol 'Rise' was the normal 'Rise', due to pressure, stress, and other reasons. But, at the end of the day, you still admitting to liking singing and you accepted that part of 'Rise' as your own. Am I remembering everything correctly?"

[celebrity_commentator]

"Just about exactly right! Looks like we really are friends," she said, grinning. At least, she hoped other-her wouldn't blurt out things like that to random girls...the way she kind of had about Personas. Well, it was an academic discussion, right?

"Anyway, I guess that means I should ask more about you...oh, but I'm keeping you from your date," she added. "I feel like I'm being rude either way..."

Tohko grinned, about to say that they were great friends..but that was when Rise mentioned that she was going on a date and instantly clammed up and blushed.

"I-I'm not going on a date! Really, I'm not! You're not being rude! And you can ask me all the questions you want, since we're friends!"

You hit a weak point there, Rise.

She knows what that means: time for an All-Out Attack.

"You were awful specific about giving Diarmuid those chocolates. Do you like him?"

Tohko did say 'all the questions you want'...

Tohko thought for a moment before sighting and..smiling.

"To be honest..I don't think the love I have for him right now is genuine for two reasons. One, he's the Diarmuid. I'm probably just under the influence of his love spot. Reason number two backs me up on this: I still have some feelings for someone who rejected me awhile ago. I'm no the type to love two people at the same time..so I think, in the end, I won't love Diarmuid."

[celebrity_commentator]

"You've...really thought this through," Rise observed.

She'd ask about the love spot if she thought she could say it without giggling.

"So that's friend chocolate for a guy you just have a crush on, then."

[tohko_amano]

"Well, when a curse like this is involved, you have to give it some thought."

Sure, it sounded like a silly curse, but it really had caused Diarmuid a lot of trouble.

"Exactly. And I'm sure that crush will fade away in a day or three."

[celebrity_commentator]

"It sounds complicated, but I'm glad you have a handle on it."

She smiled, glad to have made a new friend here. Especially one she could talk to so easily.

"I should go get some chocolates to the guy friend I have a crush on though, I guess. And the other guys too, if I can find them. These aren't homemade anyway."

[tohko_amano]

"Well..they're not homemade, but they get the job done. If you want though, I could help you make some chocolates..and hopefully things will work out well for you and Yu."

The advantages of being good friends with a different Rise..

Obviously not good enough friends for her to have ever made food for you.

"I wouldn't want to make my other self jealous," she said, "but thanks!"

Sadly, Tohko hasn't tasted Rise's cooking. Hopefully it would be good though. Hopefully. At that, Tohko chuckled.

"I don't think you'll make your other self here jealous! Don't worry! Besides, there' a Yu you know here, right?"

[celebrity_commentator]

"Well, I don't think the Yu from Hinoto-Ri came here. Besides, that Yu is dating someone else," she admitted, unable to keep herself from pouting slightly.
