9th Recipe - Surprise Banquet [Open]
Characters: Kazumi and You!
Setting: Cafeteria; Floor Sixty Kitchen
Format: Either
Summary: Kazumi is running around trying to cook things for all the newcomers so they don't have to just eat what's on the menu! Also, stocking up the other kitchen
Warnings: None foreseen
[Cafeteria]
[A young girl with short hair is hurrying in and out of the kitchen, greeting various people and coming back out with various dishes. Anyone who isn't seated and eating yet, she'll approach, or if she knows you, she'll approach anyway! Newcomer or Tower Resident, she wants to make sure everyone can have what they want - the menu's not that bad this month, but everyone always has different preferences, right? Though, all the guests have to make sure they have their oatmeal first!]
Hi! Are you hungry? What can I get for you?
[Cafeteria Kitchen]
[There's about eight different things cooking in here at any one time as Kazumi runs in and out and cooks various things while working around the staff. She's doing surprisingly well considering how much is going on! But she looks like she's about to run herself ragged...]
[Floor 60 - Deluxe Kitchen]
[Later in the day, one might find Kazumi here... there's an enormous pile of foods here, mostly things like sacks of flour and sugar and so on, but also vegetables and fruits and meat. It looks like she basically stole everything out of the cafeteria...]
Ummm, now how to organize this...?

Let me guess, everyone here prefers meat. You'd think they didn't feed us enough down in the cafeteria.

...I didn't know there was that reason to consider.
[Looks like there's more to cooking than he thought.]

Most people just organize their kitchen however fits, or however they've always done it, and it seems like too much work to take everything out and reorganize from scratch, so I want to make sure to do it right the first time!

You can say this floor was made for the cooks. About time you guys got something nice, though. What with all the effort you put forth to make sure we don't have to eat only cafeteria food.
no subject
Haha, well, I'm definitely grateful, though it's surprising the tower would do something nice for us...
[Which is why maybe she should be more careful opening one of the drawers and sticking her hand with a canister of salt inside without looking]
Ow!
[She pulls back with a cry, the canister hitting the ground and spilling; there's a few cuts on the back of her hand, almost like claws]
no subject
[He rushes over to her side.]
What happened?
no subject
Ow... I don't know. Something clawed me when I reached in the cupboard.
[She motions over at the partly-open door.]
no subject
[He yanks the drawer open. Nothing.]
Doesn't look like there's anything...
no subject
[Well, evidence is clear on her hand]
Maybe this floor wasn't as much of a gift as I thought...
no subject
Just be careful from now on, I guess.
no subject
[Leaving the spilled salt for now, she goes over to the sink to wash off her cut]
I should probably leave a note then, for other people.
no subject
Should we stick it up on the fridge? Everyone would see that way.
no subject
[She decides to use magic to heal the cuts; they're pretty small so it doesn't take much and she'd rather not have a bandage worrying Saki or Saber]
That would probably make sense... I didn't bring anything to write with though.

[He rushes down the stairs to the workshop floor. Barring accidents, he should be back after a while.]
no subject
[While he's doing that, she'll be putting things away - making sure to open drawers and cabinets all the way and check inside of them first.]
no subject
You write it. My handwriting is shit.
no subject
[Smiling, she takes the pen and paper and heads over to the counter to start writing. She writes out, "BE CAREFUL! FREEZER DOES NOT OPEN FROM INSIDE!" and draws a picture of a bundled-up penguin and a cat in an ice cube on one sheet]
no subject
That's too cute. Now people are gonna crawl in there to look for frozen animals.
no subject
[She giggles and works on the other one. "ALWAYS CHECK DRAWERS AND CUPBOARDS BEFORE PUTTING ANYTHING INSIDE! HANDS ESPECIALLY!" The drawing is of a partly open cupboard - the insides dark except for a pair of glowing eyes. An then she adds a shadowy hand with pointy fingers coming out for good measure and labels it "Danger!"]
There, do you think that makes it clear?
no subject
Very clear.
no subject
Hmm, where would be a good spot?
