Setting: 2-02, boiler/incinerator, crystal room/cavern, mail room [locked to Suzaku].
Format: Action for ease, will match.
Summary: Minato wakes up to a new job and went on his first day. Afterwards, he heard a tape recorder (Howl) when he check the mail room and slowly begins to feel something...
Warnings: Eventually obsessive love for the poor person, Minato style. Otherwise, will update with more warnings as needed.

[It was yet another day in Minato’s tower life. He wasn’t sure what to expect, but all hopes for a quiet day was put on hold when he found the notice in his room.

Seemed like he was assigned a job...to garbage duty?

He wondered how safe this will be. It certainly seem simple, but living this long in the tower made him paranoid. Well, better tell his roommates about his new job.]

I got assigned to garbage duty, so it’ll be a part of my routine for the time being.

[If he smells, don’t blame him.]

Floor 55 – Boiler/Incinerator
[If anyone’s near the floor, they will see Minato carrying a large garbage bag and walking over to the incinerator. He wouldn’t mind talking, just don’t mess around with him so near the flames.]

Floor 99 – Crystal Room
[Compared to the feeling of hollowness from floor 100’s illusions and floor 98’s myriad of pipes, the crystals that filled up the room was pleasant, not very intricate in layout and solid to touch.

Minato slowly explored the almost cavern like room, admiring the beautiful crystals one by one, but keep his distance from them. He didn’t know if the crystals were safe to touch or not. But he can look at them.]

Floor 78 - Mailroom - Locked to Suzaku Kururugi
[After visiting the crystal filled room, Minato swing by the mail room to check his box. A part of him was a little amused by how he ended up with such a number on his mailbox: #4444.

As he checked, he can faintly hear a sound playing in the background. Minato paused and glance around.]

Floor 55

[Not too long after Minato's started his new job, there's the sound of frantic running as someone else enters the room. Ryoji's already panicked, bowing low enough that he doesn't see his new coworker at first. How could he have forgotten that today was his first day of work?]

S-Sorry I'm late! It won't happen again, I swear!

[Who else could that voice belongs to? Minato moves away from the incinerator, mostly out of safety reasons, and stare at Ryoji.]

I didn't know you have this job as well.

["S-Sorry I'm late!", what else could that mean?]

Hm?

[Ryoji straightens with just a bit of confusion.]

Ah! Minato-kun! I guess we're coworkers, huh?

[Ryoji can't help but smile. It's nice to have the company, and from what he knows, this isn't really a difficult or dangerous job.]

It seems like it.

[The only danger Minato can see is being reckless near the incinerator.

But Minato smile back at Ryoji. It's not the most glamourous of jobs, but having a friend around should make this better.]

I'll be counting on you as fellow workers, Ryoji-kun.

[At least they can talk to each other, and Minato can warn Ryoji if he's being careless around the fire.]

I won't let you down, Minato-kun!

[More energetic now that he's spoken with his friend, Ryoji starts lugging a bag of trash over to the incinerator.]

I know, Ryoji-kun.

[Minato already threw in his garbage bag, so he would be watching Ryoji.]

Do you need help?

Ah, no, I've got it! It's not that heavy.

[Ryoji tosses his bag in before turning back to Minato.]

So, what have you been up to lately?

Things have been fairly alright so far, even with the new arrivals here.

[Who he worries about. No matter how much he tell them about the tower, the visitors aren't fully accustomed to the tower.]

Right... I hope they've stayed out of trouble.

[Ryoj is just about as worried as Minato is. It's a relief to know that they'll probably return to their own world eventually, and that they aren't stuck here like everyone else.]

Floor 99

I wouldn't look at those for too long, if I were you.

[chaos had quietly teleported into this room, hoping to glance at the crystals again..but when he noticed that a young boy-who hadn't noticed him, thankfully-was staring at the crystals, he thought he had better speak up.]

They are quite complex. I imagine looking at them too hard would hurt your eyes.

[Minato blinks and glance around until he see the other boy. He didn't notice the other boy's presence, making him a little surprised.]

Thank you for the warning. It's a shame we can't look at them too long.

[chaos could look at these things for as long as he wanted, as the way pain worked for him wasn't the same as a normal person's..but he said nothing about that.]

Don't mention it. I am always happy to help. However..it is a shame that we cannot look at them long. They are quite lovely.

[If Minato was aware of that, he wouldn't ask about it a lot. Maybe a few questions at most.]

A part of me hopes we can get a chance to look at them better. It's not often we can see crystals like these.

No, it is not..even back in my own universe, crystals like these were rare. If you want, I could cut one out for you.

Cut one? [Minato blinks. The offer is surprising, but nice. The crystals are pretty, but he doesn't really need them.] I don't want to trouble you too much for one.

It is no trouble. I enjoy helping people.

[He did seem sincere about his offer...] Then...I'd like one, please.

Floor 78 Are we doing howl or crush btw?

[Suzaku looked at the shard of spear in his hand, and at the mailboxes around him. He had just followed his feet here, he looked at the shard again. Wondering if he should just... send it back.

But that would be a sort of running away as well.

He frowned at the sound and then spotted Minato and waved.] Hello Minato

[Ah, it's Suzaku. Someone who is always nice to see around and means well, despite some of the past events between them.]

Suzaku-san, it's been a while.

[Minato walks over to Suzaku, leaving his mailbox behind.]

It has, how have you been?

[At least this Minato is still here. Suzaku's glad about that.]

I've been doing well.

[His day went well enough and Minato did get to meet new people, as well as see familiar faces.

Like Suzaku.]

What about you, Suzaku-san? How have you been?

[He stops until he's in front of Suzaku.]

I've been alright, and you?

[He holds out a box of chocolates.] Do you want one? They're safe don't worry...

[Because chocolate... bad memories... He'd tell him that it's fine Lelouch made them not Ruana but Lelouch brings up bad memories when connected to Minato as well...]

Pretty fine. Things have been quiet for a while since new people came.

[Minato looks a little happy by the offer. Yes, last year's Valentine was horrible and getting chocolates would be odd. But Suzaku said they're safe, so he can have them.

After all, Suzaku is sincerely offering the chocolates to him.]

Thank you, Suzaku-san. [He accepts the box of chocolates, smiling.] I should get you something as well.

No it's alright. You don't have to. [He shook his head. But was glad that Minato seemed happy.]
