Cookies and a song~ Open and backdated to the 14th!
Characters: Orihime Inoue or
pellegri and you ♥
Setting: Orihime: Any of the safer floors between 1 and the dorms~ Pellegri: Any floors between 43 and the dorms.
Format: Any!
Summary: Orihime has cookies to give away and Pellegri is compelled to flirt. SHOULD END WELL, right?
Warnings: Starting out with none!
[Orihime]
Orihime had gotten up earlier than normal, and had found the kitchen monster free, thankfully. She worked for some time, melting down some of the chocolate candies to prepare some delicious chocolate cookies, which she topped with all sorts of candies. She made up a small plate for each of her friends, and piled the extras on another plate. Because what better way to make new acquaintances than with sugar?
After presenting Tohko with her cookies, she set out to find a good majority of the people she had met so far, with one exceptionsorry Kadaj! She went all through the tower, searching out Asch, Liquid, Wriggle, Urotsuki, and Eleanor in particular. Then finally ended up back in her room with a plate for Azula... Which she would simply leave on her nightstand if she were out~
[Pellegri]
Being assigned a job by the administrators really hadn't bothered Pellegri. Not that she particularly enjoyed the idea of doing them any service, but honestly, it put her at ease to have a purpose. And since figuring out a way to rebel against the administrators, or simply get back home, was so slow going, working in the prison was actually a welcome distraction. And maybe a little reminiscent of home, now that her former employer was absent.
But Valentine's Day hadn't been going entirely well for her. She was restless and bored, and her shift was dragging on. Until she found the strange tape player on the floor of one of the cells. If she hadn't previously been close to someone who was obsessed with ancient technology she might not have even known what it was, or considered it garbage and thrown it away.
BUT, as luck would have it, she knew what it was, and curiously played a fragment of the song. It wasn't something she would have chosen to listen to, so it was turned off rather quickly, but she had heard enough. Her shift was coming to an end as well, so she left for the dorms, idly hoping to find someone in particular.

It took a moment, but she decided she would distract him with cookies, then heal him!

When once stood a young man roughly her age, now there stood a child within a young man's body. Both of his hands--one of which looked really quite unhealthy--raised up and shook a little bit as he stared at them. The smile on his face made him look as excited as a young boy inside a candy store, a little drool included.

She smiled and held the plate out for him to take, even before he answered... Since she didn't actually plan on denying him food if he didn't accept.
no subject
"Mmm....."
A voice very much more befitting of a little boy, they were scarfed down like a champ. Despite this, Allen found it in him to nod while eating.

Any injuries he had acquired in the few hours prior to the healing would have been reversed in only a few moments. If he allowed her to keep the shield up, the healing could go back days, assuming they he had some time to spare. Or wounds that old.

"Yummm...."
A small, yellow orb suddenly found its way out of the hood and flew around young Orihime. It flew on oro wings, quick and fluid, much like certain other small flying beings she was used to. Only it certainly looked anything but human.
"Thank you. That was great...."

Her eyes followed the little Golem as it flew about, and she almost considered reaching out to try to touch it. But she stopped herself and looked back at Allen.
"What's that?"
no subject
"That's Tim. He's a golem I've had for a long time. Sounds kind of crazy right?"
The new perch was the cookie tray for Tim. Despite having no visible orifice, it took in the sight in front of it before sprouting a never-before-seen mouth and taking and eating one right there on the spot.
no subject
Well, maybe a little. But the fun kind of crazy.
"What does he do?"
no subject
With a surplus before him, he absentmindedly helps himself to some more...
Tim is satisfied with the one it has, however.
no subject
She reached out and patted the golem on the head gently.

The glutton meanwhile just delights in the sugaryness of the cookies.
"Sounds great!" he says, having just gulped down the last he had taken, "really!" The last bits left on his face have now since been wiped off his face and his formerly injured side checked for injury. It is, of course, now healed.
"So you're a healer?"
no subject
She nodded happily. While she still wished to be stronger, she was pretty happy with her healing powers. She'd even been practicing the way her cat mentor had taught her so she could be even better.
But, that reminded her...
"Oh yeah! How did you get hurt like that??"

Fighting monsters at any time is a hazardous thing. Recalling that one time it almost got him killed, by Cerberi, no less, and was only saved by that person...who then advised him to 'not go out at night' again. It was weird explaining it to his roommates, too. About how carelessness breeds mistakes, and mistakes bring injuries that need valuable time to heal. About how truly dangerous it can get when no amount of arms can harm your foes.
"I was just a little clumsy is all," he said, smiling and closing his eyes like he was admitting he did something wrong. "This place can be pretty scary sometimes."
Timcanpy then, with a mighty effort, leaped all the way to the top of Ms. Inoue's head. Turning around, it had found a brand new perch to sit upon!

She smiled, but really, Allen... That was a pretty flimsy statement. Still, she didn't press it. She knew people had their reasons for leaving out the details, or understating danger they faced. Since they didn't know each other too well (yet!), she'd let it go for now.
Plus, Timcanpy landing on her head was pretty good distraction. She laughed happily and tried to look up at the golem.
"Ah, Tim-chan!"
no subject
He closes his eyes to smile and sigh, again.
"I can get into trouble a lot, but Tim will get me out of it anytime. Like he did today.
"Just a monster attack, like always. But it was alright in the end." He looks a little sad as he smiles, betrayed by a genuinely happy tone of voice. "If I'm alive in the end, I'll heal."
Tim appears to "look" down back at Orihime...yeah, at closer inspection, it really doesn't have any eyes or even a mouth. Although a mouth is there, who's to say eyes aren't, either?
no subject
She abandoned the cheerful smile, and looked back at Allen seriously. She really disliked seeing others hurt, especially when it wasn't necessary. She might not look strong, but she could at least help when it came to being protected from injury.
"If you have to go somewhere dangerous, you can always let me know, and I would help."
no subject
"Really, I was just careless this time."
He sounds as though he's almost used to this. "I think everywhere I'll go will be dangerous no matter what."
no subject
Really, what have you been doing, Allen?
no subject
The prison trip brings much to mind here.
"It always manages to catch people off guard. Me, especially. Not unusual for me, actually. I just always have to be ready, and even that's not enough.
I'm chalking this one up to bad luck, so just wish for some good luck, alright?"
