Characters: Signless & Ψiioniic, and if any of their roommates would like to be present or anyone else would like to drop in on them, feel free!
Setting: 2-8, backdated to shortly after this thread, so just after the Condesce arrives but before Dualscar does.
Format: Narrative please
Summary: After killing himself, the Signless & the Condesce, Ψiioniic wakes in their room.
Warnings: graphic imagery and slave issues, most likely
Ψiioniic woke in the grasp of the same sleep paralysis he'd experienced on first coming to the tower. He couldn't move or open his eyes, but his brain was working at full speed.
Since he'd never expected to wake again, this was disconcerting and somewhat terrifying. The last thing he remembered was sacrificing himself to try to stop the fight between Signless and the Condesce - and to prevent the Condesce from ordering him to kill Signless.
Why was he alive? Where was he? Who had won the battle?

But then, why couldn't he move? Was this some kind of drug? Maybe the high bloods had gotten him, after all, and the only thing they were waiting for was for him to wake up again - to ensure he would feel every second as the irons burned his flesh off of his bones.

Worse, he knew that Signless couldn't have escaped, because if he had he'd never have left Ψiioniic behind alive. Or had he assumed Ψiioniic was dead and been in too much of a hurry to escape to double-check?
Finally he managed to wrench his eyes open, and he flailed weakly with a gasp. "No, fuck no," he moaned, power starting to build sluggishly around him.

"Psi!" he exclaimed, seeing Psiioniic thrashing nearby. Heedless of his own safety, he threw himself across the room and grabbed Psiioniic's head, forcing the psychic to look at him. "Shooosh...shoosh, it's okay. We're alive."
He just hoped Psiioniic didn't still want to kill him for killing the Condesce.

The sleep paralysis was gone, but it took him another moment to get over the shock. When he did, he threw himself right back at his friend, arms wrapped tight around his torso and clinging like his life depended on it. It felt like it did.
"SS? How... why... what happened?" he rasped, disbelieving. "I should be dead!"

The best case scenario is that Psiioniic just knocked them all out. That would make the most sense, and would mean that the Condesce really was probably dead. But Signless couldn't imagine how he could have survived that blast.

It wasn't that he'd been suicidal. He would just rather die than hurt Signless, or watch him be culled in front of him again.

The thought that he could run into the Condesce again was enough to make him feel sick. Fix his conditioning? It wouldn't be that easy, surely. It had taken him perigees to overcome it the first time.

He nuzzled Psiioniic's hair. "Hey," he said softly. "You're not mad at me for trying to kill her, are you?"

"Like I expected," Signless growled. "Someone was keeping him prisoner. But we got out... even if it wasn't the best possible way."

He hesitated, glancing at Psiioniic. "I thought I was going to die..."

He gave Suzaku a bit of a shy smile in response to the nod. "Thorry to worry you guys. She ordered me not to leave her side, so I couldn't come back."
Suzaku hasn't yet learnt to not judge other cultures based on his own
"Ordered you?" And he was unable to resist, that sounded very much like Geass to Suzaku. "And you all died?"
Re: Suzaku hasn't yet learnt to not judge other cultures based on his own
He jabbed a thumb at Psiioniic. "Psi here is one of my loyal followers, a member of my inner circle. He used to be a slave, too, which is why he runs into trouble when a highblood gets into hearing range."
He shrugged. "Anyway, the Condesce might call us terrorists for all I know, but we've never blown up a building. More accurately, we're heretics, and that's how the highbloods usually bill us in the propaganda."
