Something Unexpected
Characters: characters selected to go into the elevator
Setting: the admin levels
Format: any
Summary: The admin elevator has been left open, its destination preprogrammed. Where is it going to take you?
Warnings: general horror warnings for now
The elevator doesn't announce itself when its doors slide open. There's no alarm, no message to be found about it. It sits open and waits for anyone curious enough to enter. There's a barrier on it that locks out anyone without a collar, and it isn't going to stay long, but aside from that there appears to be no security. There's nothing stopping someone--or multiple someones--from climbing into the elevator and going down.
Where's it going? Who knows.
Hub Area
A lounge area with sofas and chairs. It's large enough to hold the entire group, constructed similarly to the dorm rooms, and is connected to five doors.

As Sephiroth moves, the corridor appears to begin to twist. Not the path--the path remains straight while the actual hallway twists. Sephiroth will find himself walking on what was the wall a few moments ago.]

[He moves with Sephiroth, avoiding getting too close and bothering the man. The twisting corridor surprises Legolas, frowning and looking further down the hall. Sometimes letting his elf-eyes see was convenient.]
Hold on, let me try something.
[He hated wasting an arrow, each one hand crafted by himself for his bow. This was as good a cause as any though and he could try to recover it later. That said, he released the arrow and let it fly down the hall. Perhaps it might reveal something before they venture too much farther.]

True enough.
[It would be fairly blind of Sephiroth not to notice the way the corridor twists around him as he walks down it but until Legolas called out to hold he might well have just kept going. The next second the arrow whizzed past him down the hallway.
Well now wasn't that something. Helpful elf after all. Sephiroth stares at the arrow apparently lodged in thin air for a few moments before lowering Masamune a little. Hm, if the arrow could fly straight.]
Well played. Let's see.
[One black feathered wing erupts from Sephiroth's shoulder and with that well practiced flying act his feet leave the floor to just hover not even a foot off the floor. Most of the feathered mutation spread out around that right side so as not to scrape any side of the corridor. He wills himself forward only a single wingbeat, looking around intently to see if the hallway still twists. Better to test before following that arrow.]

He presses his lips together as he watches them test the twisting corridor, but says nothing for the moment; it's better to wait and see on this... and involve himself if it seems necessary (or use the distraction and venture of on his own; he is certainly not above that).]

What are you-
[Oh... Oh! Stumbling back a couple steps at the appearance of the wing. That was something entirely new to him, something he hadn't imagined. Sure, he'd ridden on the back of a giant eagle but this not anything like that.]
no subject
Hmph.
[Hearing additional movement behind, he looks back for a second from the arrow to regard Riku. So now they are three. At least the newcomer has, well some sort of weapon. It's only a fleeting look though before attention is set back on the path before them; clearly the twisting corridor is an illusion they are just going to have to be aware of.
That in mind, a few more guarded steps forward and he might be able to reach with the tip of Masamune the area where the arrow had lodged. He'd stretch, but he wasn't going to over-exert such a maneuver - he
hopedcould easily dodge backwards if something reacted.]no subject

...Interesting.
[That's definitely always an appropriate (though polite) expression of whatever was going on in this place. He turns his gaze down to his Keyblade, then shoots the wall a speculative look.
Maybe it wouldn't be that bad an idea to leave a mark behind. Just in case this turned out to be some kind of maze.]

Walking forward, Legolas retrieves his arrow but doesn't place it back in his quiver. He'd rather have it read in case something else comes up.]
Let's move on before they find out we're here.
no subject
Besides, they were accompanying him - he didn't ask for them to come along. Sephiroth wasn't going to keep stopping and looking back as if for opinions every time they came across something strange. Legolas is right in essence; there is no way of telling how long it would be before the Tower figured out they'd all managed to get down here.
And so, taking the sharp illogical turn in his stride. Sephiroth continued to lead the group down the pathway.]
no subject
He throws only a quick glance at the result before he follows after the other two. It's better to stick together for now, probably.]

Right now, he desperately wished that he had some hithlain to tie against something. It would slow their descent, give them something to help them back up.]
Let me go first.
[Haldir would probably kill him if he found out about this, but an elf could keep better footing here than most other races. And he doesn't wait, already heading down to the door and drawing his arrow back.]
no subject
Sephiroth only lightly keeps his feet on the sharp ramp inclining downwards, preferring to lift and balance himself by telekinetic ability. Staying a few feet back from Legolas as he takes the lead Sephiroth regards the door, noting how heavy it looks and also how it should open. Looks like he'd have to get it anyway. Positioning himself to the side of the door opposite the handle he wraps his off-hand around it to pull it open, lunging backwards with the door for the extra strength if needed and so he wouldn't get caught between door and wall.]

He blinks at the revelation of the empty room, an eyebrow rising.
How anticlimactic.
...That's probably for the better anyways.]
no subject
Since he's in the best position to enter first, he tightens his grip on his bow and the arrow and goes inside, his ears sensitive to any sounds that aren't his companions. Had they found nothing? Was no one here?
He didn't dare say anything aloud though, for fear that it might draw something to them sooner than they are ready for.]

Afterwards Sephiroth follows them in, trying not to let the heavy door slam shut too much behind them.]
Well now, this is more like it.
[Green eyes dart around the floating pieces of technology briefly assessing any threats. Then, at least for now, sword and wing dissolved into nothing as he goes directly for the nearest screen. What could have been turns into mild irritation quickly though; being that same incomprehensible language.]
no subject
He steps closer to one of the screens as well, Keyblade still in his grip as he stares at the foreign words... This must be one of the few times where his weapon's translation magic doesn't work for him. Still, he keeps staring for another minute in hope that its effects kick in after all, before taking a step to the keyboard.
There has to be something that's readable between all those files, right?]

For this reason, between glancing around on screens and at various other bits of hardware in this room, Sephiroth takes great care to keep his awareness expanded as far out from himself as possible. It would be foolish to think they'll just be allowed to poke around in here forever.]
