Summary: The admin elevator has been left open, its destination preprogrammed. Where is it going to take you?
Warnings: general horror warnings for now

The elevator doesn't announce itself when its doors slide open. There's no alarm, no message to be found about it. It sits open and waits for anyone curious enough to enter. There's a barrier on it that locks out anyone without a collar, and it isn't going to stay long, but aside from that there appears to be no security. There's nothing stopping someone--or multiple someones--from climbing into the elevator and going down.

Where's it going? Who knows.

Hub Area
A lounge area with sofas and chairs. It's large enough to hold the entire group, constructed similarly to the dorm rooms, and is connected to five doors.

[By the time Meiling closes the door, most of the initial panic has worn off. This hallway seemed to be a brief respite. Now that danger had made itself apparent - and managed to take a bite out of ~~crime~~ his matesprit - Gamzee had gotten a little more preoccupied. His eyes flicked down the hallway, to the sound of the door clicking shut, to Tavros' bloody arm, and back to Meiling when she started talking and moving to join them once more.]

[Okay, the girl wasn't totally incompetent. This was good. She showed a concern for Tavros, which was another plus (he couldn't give less of a shit what she thought about him), and she appeared to have a level head.]

[Losing himself in his thoughts, he'd missed the part where she had mentioned introductions. Apparently Tavros had covered for him, though, because hearing his name brought him back to reality.]

...Huh?

[Charming.]

[He really tried his best to ignore Tavros' flattery. Getting stupid over it really wouldn't be productive, not to mention the fact that the tourniquet wasn't all that badass. It was pretty shoddy, considering Gamzee's medical knowledge was limited at best, and he didn't care enough to practice anything on himself.]

Mm. Yo, motherfucker.

[He raised his hand awkwardly, waggling his fingers in an attempt at a friendly wave.]

[From the previous room, the music box begins to play again. It sounds closer, as if someone had moved it right next to the door.

Something begins banging against the door.]

[A friendly smile crosses her face as she bows to both of them in respect.]

It is good to meet both of you. I just hope we can-

[The sound of the music box and the banging stops her in the middle of her sentence. She sighs and shakes her head at this, getting the urgency to move on. Obviously a door can only hold up for so long. Pushy rooms are pushy.]

....And I guess that is our cue to keep moving. Shall we?

[Eurgh, he really does not want to deal with that cantankerous ghost-child again. Gamzee lifts the corner of his lip in a sneer, snatching the bottom of his jacket and yanking the zipper up to his chin. It was getting a little drafty, okay.]

We motherfuckin' shall.

[Nodding in their new direction, he set off with the other two, flanking the side of the group, because an attack could still come from the front or behind, and he didn't want to be a fucking lard-ass about it if it happened again.]

[ Ugh. He really hates this place, but he starts moving while keeping the pressure on his open wound. Okay, here goes. Totally staying alert this time. ]

... Man, I hope we don't get attacked again.

[ He mutters, mainly to himself. ]

[The next door has a playground in it--a large, sprawling play structure fit more for an outdoor park than inside a dark room. There's a swingset as well.

Shadows are playing on the structure and the swings.]

[Meiling isn't dropping her guard this time around, because one surprise attack was enough for her.]

I hope so as well...but I wouldn't doubt it at this point. It is almost as if this place is trying to chase us away.

[Once they arrive in the room, She is looking to each of the shadows and the playground. She looks a bit confused but will continue forwards, looking for the next way out. That playroom was enough, now a playground full of Shadows? This was not going to end well in her opinion.]

At this point, I would assume anything here can be hostile...

[A group of shadow children runs by--very quickly. They're passing a button between themselves as if it were a ball.]

Least they ain't lookin' all like a bunch of motherfuckin' hungry little shits.

[He was really, really trying his best not to book it for the jungle gym. Losing a little bit of flesh was a small price to pay to be able to slide down some slides, man.]

[Instead of dissolving into a complete wiggler, however, he quirked a brow at the group of fast-moving shadows.]

The fuck's the point of this joint? How we gonna blow the fuck outta this popcorn stand, eh?

[Well that was odd...She's going to watch that group with the button closely.]

Maybe those...children have the answer? Let me try to talk with them. Maybe we can get out without being harmed?

{Meiling figures it's her time to out herself on the line and tried to approach the Shadow children, trying to look as non threatening as she could...even with that rainbow glow around her arms still. Not taking chances still!]

Excuse me....What is it you are playing with?

[The children dart back, just out of reach. Even if they are shadows, they seem to have to stand on the ground just as a normal human would.]

Button game! [Their voices are whispers, even though they're shouting.] If you press it, something good happens!

[Then they run off again.]

[Gamzee's face split in a fanged grin at the words of the shadows. If his ears could perk any higher, they'd rival the height of his horns.]

I fuckin' want it!!!

[Don't mind him, he's just gonna tear after the pack of "kids", hoping to get his grubby mitts on that thing.]

[The shadow children giggle, apparently delighted with the troll addition to their game. They seem to be just fast enough to stay out of Gamzee's grasp.]

[Meiling will just blink as they take off with Gamzee following them. She sighs a bit and shakes her head for a moment before watching. After a moment of her watching, She'll take off in the other direction, trying to get them trapped between them.]

[As Meiling circles around, the children turn so as not to run into her. The ones not carrying anything pass through Gamzee as if he weren't there at all. The one currently holding the button hesitates between them.]

[That grin hasn't left his face, and now it turns a little more sinister.]

Ain't your lusus never fuckin' told you to share, bro?

[The shadows have always been able to outrun him, but this one was caught between he and Meiling. If it darted away from him, it would run right into her, and she'd have a chance to snatch the button. His eyes shot to her briefly, just to make sure they were on the same beat.]

[Without another word, Gamzee flickered, flashstepping as quickly as he could toward the child. As fast as they were, he still needed to try and be as speedy as possible to hope to stand a chance.]

[The child darts, running into Gamzee--it, being made of shadow, runs through, but the button it was carrying drops at Gamzee's feet.]

[Like a fucking wild animal, his claws clamp over the button as soon as it hits his foot. His momentum, however, sends him flying straight into Meiling.]

[Good the button dropped and Gamzee got it and...WAIT WHAT!

Meiling flails a bit as she is knocked down by the troll because not expecting that!]

...That works! Push it and see what happens, since you got it first.

[Yeap, she's curious]

Fuck, girl, you get the shiny, too. Ain't no brother to be all denying such a gross pleasure such as what's motherfuckin' this one.

[Still lying in a heap, he grabs her hand, smacking them both down on the button in unison.]

Bombs a-fucking-way! HONK HONK HONK HONK HONK!!!

[The floor lights up in brilliant purple. The light shoots out to the hub area, where the area in front of this door lights up as well.]

[Meiling just laughs a bit at the in unison button pressing and the floor lighting up.]

Lighting up the floor was the good thing? As long as it works I guess...Good Game!

[Meiling will look around from the heap she is in for a exit, just to make sure they know which way to go next. Just in case there was somewhere else they needed to go to!]

[The only exit is the one they came through. The door is open.

There is a music box next to the exit.]

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!!

[His head snaps up as the lights turn on. Purple was the greatest fucking color - he had to commend the FX choreographer on this one. He wasn't high enough to get lost in the show, though, so he leapt to his feet as soon as he could, waiting for Meiling to steady herself (he wasn't enough of a gentleman to offer her a hand) before joining up with Tavros again.]

Got the fuckin' button, babe! ...How you doin'?

[After a quick once-over of the other boy's wound, the group heads to the door.]

Best get the fuck outta here before that motherfuckin' thing starts up again.

[Meiling will get up and brushes her skirt off as she nods and starts to move with the two.

Maybe they can get back without running into that creepy little girl again? Or worse? She doubts that will be the case but she's moving quickly, yet staying close.]

We do not need to run into..that thing again. Maybe the others are back there waiting?
